I was pleasantly surprised at all of the features on this small and fairly inexpensive light. It has all of the features of lights costing an additional $50 or more. I am using it to supplement my macro photography and help eliminate unwanted shadow areas even in sunlit photos. Easy to use. I would recommend it.

I do a lot of concert/ nightclub videos and the light is exactly what I need. My only complaint is that the back panel you slide off to put in the batteries falls off a lot. I've had to tape it down. Other then that no complaints!

Just slides right on top of most cameras, and man is it bright! It uses 4 AA batteries so I'd suggest getting some rechargeable ones. Also since they are LEDs the batteries will last a long time. I accidentally left it on in my camera bag and a few days later it was still bright.

Good little unit. Of course, it's not going to light-up a stadium, but helps me add enough light to do small video work in darker rooms. The adjustability of the light intensity is key. I'd recommend it.

The LEDs are bright (& adjustable) and makes this a great portable light for video taping. The LEDs use little power so batteries last several hours.

I love this light. Great for transport, especially if you’re just starting out and don’t want a bunch of heavy equipment. I bought it in conjunction with the arm and it’s wonderful.

I've always had trouble with the flash on my Canon Ti3 but this unit makes it easy. There's a definite difference in quality. You can also adjust the brightness which is very helpful!

It’s taken forever to crack the code to get this light to work!!!!
Best Buy Woodland Hills sent me to Fry’s electronics to buy a Rhino power supply. Got one that worked sort of okay, but best in store. I ended up storing equipment for awhile. I did report to insignia that the info in box and on box doesn’t mention polarity.
Yesterday I went back to store as light wasn’t working. Store manager apparently damaged light from running the voltage changer up and down while light was plugged in. It wouldn’t light and couldn’t use batteries when done. He offered to replace light from another store that had in stock.
( A sales rep had broken off a Rhino pin in adapter tip on same trip. )
Thousand Oaks store. Yesterday about a year and a half later, I now know the company never changed the labels, but also has the voltage wrong as well.
A Geek Squad electrical expert James at Thousand Oaks finally got the light to light using the same brand power supply. Just used a higher and lower setting but not “5” as labeled. Caesar was also helpful.
Turns out the product will work with 4.5 or 7.5 voltage.
Polarity is marked as positive AND negative on the item.
The light is very heavy for a small tripod if using batteries.
If you are shooting webinars, you need to plug in. Otherwise you’ll be forever changing out rechargeable batteries.
The next leap up in lighting is a gorgeous but very heavy light, sams store brand, that sells for $130. Would need a heavy duty tripod to use it.
Happy with manager at Simi Valley - James - who was trying to fix what was broken in the store watch by sales rep. Happy with Thousand Oaks store Help.
The two sales reps at Simi - only one broke the pin - neither wanted to tell the manager. The senior sales guy told me to “have a nice day” and hoped I would just leave!!
I had to ask to talk to manager.
Help at any Best Buy is really a roll of luck.
