Not Worth It (E-Cores are a pain)

The CPU is lightning fast and capable, but has a few drawbacks that center almost entirely around e-cores. With e-cores on; I run into no shortage of issues during day-to-day play. First issue I ran into was that my computer would not load into windows without booting into the bios and restarting first. So everytime I went turn on my computer, I had to either hard reset the computer so it would go straight into the bios, or disable fast boot and load into the bios then restart the computer. For the longest time I couldn't even figure out what was wrong with; eventually though, I came to the idea that maybe it was the e-cores because my old rocket lake and ryzen cpus did just fine with the same number of tasks and even ram. (I am using a DDR4 Z690 motherboard.) Sure enough, turning off the e-cores fixed not only the booting issues, but a few others.
Another issue I was having was with the monitors not registering or audio not coming out of the tv hooked to the HDMI cables; I was certain this was a gpu problem so I switched out my girlfriend's gpu and some of the extra gpus lying around and they all had the exact same issue if I use more than one display period. Well, once I turned off the e-cores, I noticed that the audio was actually back on the tv monitor. So I tested the other monitors again and sure enough, they all worked like intended.
Morale of the story, I would completely skip any of the e-core cpus and go for the 12400, 12500, or 12600 if you are just looking to game; The extra money isn't worth it and you will probably just end up turning them off anyway, which defeats the entire purpose I feel.

If all you do it game get this CPU. You can't beat the performance for the price. Do check out the list of games that don't work though with 12th gen processors. Something to do with the different cores. Otherwise this is a steal.

Easy to install, but you'll have to buy your own fan as all the Intel CPU's ending in K don't provide their own. I went with a Noctua NH-L9i-17xx low profile cooler for $55.

it works great. I just have to read up on Performance and Efficiency cores but it definitely is a performance upgrade from my old i7-4790k CPU. This CPU is a great start for my new PC build and hopefully with my new motherboard upgradable in the future.

When I was building my first PC, I didn't want to pay for a scalped GPU, so I bought this for the integrated graphics. I have no complaints so far. I'm able to play games like Overwatch without any issues and that's good enough for me.

EXCELLENT performance but uses a lot of watts. This processor pushes the work out. It is worth the cost.
The only downside is the built-in graphics are not ANY good for playing action games. You will need a separate video card for gaming.

Not a lot to say here really. Overall a great CPU and by far the best bang for the buck. You primarily use your pc for games this is absolutely the way to go. Don't pay hundreds more for a very small percentage of extra power.

I am absolutely blown away by the performance of this CPU. I paired it with a 3070 and there is zero bottleneck. I am getting 300+ frames on Siege with Ultra settings on. Cant go wrong with this CPU.

This CPU has got to be the best 12th generation for its price point. Rather than going with the I seven or the I nine which cost much more, the CPU has almost just as much performance when it comes to gaming
