Top Tier CPU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this thing for over 4 years now, and it brushes everything I've thrown at it, aside. I've got the Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black cooling this thing, so I've been able to freely Overclock to my heart's content and have had no issues since day 1. My only problem is that I can't pair it with an upgraded motherboard, otherwise I would keep this thing forever!

Best for now
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reminder I do not however recommend this at all if you're only doing gaming. No game today will "need" nor "want" 8 cores and blistering speeds, I render games and utilize the performance well with that and music creation. It's a perfectly rounded processor and I can't take that away from it. Intel has been sitting on performance increases and lacking in the department for years until AMD finally gave them the run we needed. Zen 2 will be releasing, pushing Intel into another war and furthering our processor needs. I've seen and used an 8086 in 1989, to see Intel progress only this far in ~30 years is an understatement to what they can do. Good on AMD for pushing them back into the swing of things.

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screaming fast performance. Make sure you have something to cool this adequately though as they produce some heat. I went with a SilverStone Technology AR06 - 58mm since I put it in a Node 202 case with limited clearance. Keeps it under 40c under light loads and hasn't thermal throttled even under bench-marking.

Great Processer But...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome processor very fast. Tho I upgraded from the I7 8 Core version and in all Honesty if you're doing Video editing great, but for Music Production I feel like it's not needed, ended up having to disable the hyperthreading anyways to make the system more stable. Love Intel, but should work out their virtual cores better or just say hell with the Hyper Threading and go right for the Physical Cores. Best Buy ships incredibly fast, thanks guys.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it when Best Buy places this on sale and forces you to wait 3 weeks before your order gets cancelled because they don't have it in stock....classic. Just going to Newegg for now on lol what a joke.

perfect but expensive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.According to the 8 cores of 9900k vs 6 of 8700, the difference in the game does not match the price, just 2~5% higher. However, it is still the best gaming CPU in the world right, up to u guys.
