Intel platform is rock solid and 8 cores offee great performance. These chips OC well too, mine does over 5Ghz, though your mileage may vary 5ghz is not uncommon.

Purchased for Wife's computer build. Does the job, Overclocks to 5.0 GHZ on hybrid cooler, nice and steady temps and no issues. Performs very well.

Extremely pricey but still the best when it comes to gaming. Other than that, AMD's processors at the same price point are a better value and better performance-wise outside of gaming.

The processor is phenomenal. Video editing, gaming, and regular tasks are handled with no problems. I can’t imagine using anything else. Premier pro, photoshop, after effects all run great!

I purchased this CPU as an upgrade for my son, which had a i5 processor. Since he uses his PC so often for both school and gaming, I believe it was well worth the upgrade and I expect this CPU to last him many years. While there wasn't much of a lack of performance before the upgrade, the PC is noticeably quicker after the upgrade. Paired with a GTX 3090, this is the ultimate gaming PC configuration in 2021 / 2022.

I bought my computer in 2018 and it was probably the best you could buy...gaming ibuypower i7th 9th gen with SSDs, 16G RAM, 850W power supply, an ACER gaming 144Hz 27inch monitor etc. I wanted to upgrade to get another 4 years of good gaming performance. I did not expect the difference to jump out at me...(I was playing the disappointing cyberpunk 2077) but it was very noticeable. Due go Covid, I did not install until 2 weeks ago. The bus architecture would not allow going to i10. Best Buy installed for free as I have TTS.

I was in need of a CPU upgrade. I was running an old AMD fx cpu. This one is not disappointing me at all! Was able to run a stable 5 ghz on all cores with lower temps.

I upgraded to this from a 2600K OCed to 4.4ghz. It was time to upgrade since I game at 1080p and I know that I was being limited by my CPU. I was able to get the 9900K to run sable at 5.2ghz all threads at 1.35v. I do run a custom watercooling loop with temps never going over 75c. I paired this with a MSI MEG Z390 ACE with Cosair LPX 2x16gb ram. Over all this was a great upgrade and will last me years to come.

Overclocked easily to 5ghz...demolishes every game and lets me stream without any lag or choppiness. A little pricey but you get what you pay for

The Intel core i9-9900k is great for workstation applications. With the addition of hyper-threading and a higher boost clock, the i9 handles CPU-intensive workstation processes much better than its i7 counterpart. However, if just gaming, there is no substantial improvement over the i7-9700k. The same applies for general multitasking. Overall, the i9 dominates workstation applications but is not worth it just for gaming.

The i9-9900K is a great performance processor for the price. It has a great turbo boost and is the perfect candidate for Overclocking.

The most powerful processor I've ever owned. With an SSD copilot, it absolutely crushes load times and processing on complex strategy games like Civilization or Cities: Skylines. With a fairly simple fan cooler and an adequately ventilated case, keeps to the high 60s C under load. In terms of raw power I suspect AMD's offerings have it beat, and already did on price point. Either way I've been an Intel man since the 90s and this processor's performance has given me no reason for that to change.

Extremely fast and great. Expensive, close to the top in performance. With an intel build it was hard to buy a better CPU.

Amazing CPU. Has been able to chew through everything thrown at it. Highly recommend you water cool it if you plan on overclocking.

I wanted a processor that isamazing at both gaming as well as my workstation tasks, so I decided to spoil myself with this processor in my build. I am regularly seeing upwards of 4.7-5ghz without even overclocking, and my 2080 is bottleneckijg my CPU considerably instead of the reverse happening like when I had my old CPU. Despite the price, I am very happy I bought this CPU.
