Easy to install, great for gaming, no more bottleneck when gaming and streaming

First time in 10yrs i rebuilt my system instead of buying prebuilt but felt it was time to give it a try. I had already purchased from BB the MSI MPG z390 Gaming Edge AC motherboard so was just waiting for price to be right to buy the I9-9900k. BB had a great price, better by a few bucks than some big online shop and I had a good BB gift card and club points, so all in all got it for 361 + tax!! top of the line for that cost out of pocket. So ask for BB gift cards for xmas haha. The install was drop and go, easy, fit properly in the slot, close the clamp, attach the cooler. Presto all done. I had no issues with it and used the MSI easy game mode over clocker to boast power as needed.

Coming from a 8700k and an 8086, I was expecting a larger boost in performance. Possibly because most games and apps do not make use of all 8 cores, I have it 4 stars. The chip runs slightly hot but I can push 5ghz easily.

This intel core 9 come with 5.0GHZ turbo. The price is expensive

This CPU is great if you can find it on sale. Most newer AMD CPU's are constantly out of stock, so if you don't want to hassle with that, this is a great fit. Definitely going to be using this until Intel produces a high quality 12th gen CPU. My only suggestion would be to wait for a sale, believe I got mine for $350.

I am absolutely smashing games now with this 100% over-kill CPU. I did notice that I'm getting 35+ more FPS when I run games that are CPU heavy. Really lifted the bottleneck I was experiencing with the new 3070 RTX. Good product. Took a long time to deliver.

I just recently built a brand new PC with top of the line specs basically across the board. I was coming from an i7-7700k which is no slouch but I now can definitely see the value in the 9900k. Going from 4 cores to 8, and from 8 threads to 16 is very noticeable and appreciated. Also the frame rate increase on games as well as the lowest frames is much better on the 9900k.

The latest CPU from Intel does a great job maintaining the crown. When paired with a premium motherboard and cooler, this CPU can his at least 5.0ghz on all cores. Keep it cool!

Upgraded from a 4790k and definitely noticed that this processor has made my system more snappier. I use this to transcode lots of video and I am able to do more than double what I was bottlenecking on my 4790k. Have no issues transcoding multiple streams of 4K content.

Very powerful, can reach 5Ghz easily, very nice for gaming.

If you work with software that uses large amounts of processing power then this CPU is a must have. It is a bit overkill if all you're doing is checking emails, watching movies or playing softcore games and the price is not worth the amount if you do only those things. But for a programmer or hardcore, 4k, videos games. You won't be disappointed.

Can’t beat the per core performance but still pricey.

I dont really know how to write a informative review on a processor. All I know is it works amazing and has added 30+ fps to all my mmo games. It is a lot faster than my i5 7600k but that's to be expected as it had a good 4 core and 12 threads more lol. And as a side note, the case it comes in is epic. It's a lot bigger than it looks like in the pictures.

Great processor for the new PC builder. I upgraded from a I7 960 to 9900K. And wow what a diffrence. I got it on sale during the One Day Sale for a hundred dollars off. So keep an eye out great job Best Buy!

I built a budget PC for myself a bit over a year ago using a I3-9300 on a small budget due to my last pc failed after 5 years. It took some time to save up for this because I needed more power for games and video use after installing this processor my PC will now convert videos at least 3 times faster.

Upgraded an Alienware Aurora R8 (Water Cooled) Desktop from an Intel i5-9600K to the i9-9900K. Was easy to do, using Arctic Silver Thermal Compound. The only complaint, the Blue Plastic Case, as shown above, that it came in, was damaged in shipment, which would of been cool to keep. Luckily the CPU was OK.
