Constantly looking for 'connection'

On the + side:
- easy setup
- quality of video (when connected) was decent
- IR blaster worked (with a slight delay)
On the - side:
- Constantly losing and regaining connection
- Lots of 'hung' images on screen waiting for video to get to device
- Noticeable delay on remote that makes it hard to navigate menus
we have probably a 40-50 foot run from the TV in one room that's transmitting to the TV in another room thats receiving. its an open hallway, and no major impediments to a signal, so this does not live up to the promise of being able to send crystal clear video 150 feet, or even 50 feet.

Good 1080p wireless

If you have a 1080p projector this is a great option. I used this hoping to get 4k to work but it never would lock signal on the 4k player and 4k at 30 hz lag was a absolute nightmare on the computer. Overall i would only recommend this as a 1080p signal producer in the same room (at 50ft or less). But for the price it sure beats running a long cord that may still have lag issues or buying a expensive hdmi to ethernet adapter (that you would still have to run a cable). I wish a true 4k 60hz chroma 4.4.4 exsisted at this price range. Not at this time yet.

Functional -- Sort Of

It was easy to set up and was functional right out of the box. However, the signal was not reliable across the room when the transmitter was in a closet. This unit is rated for 150 ft on a line of sight basis. I'm using it in a residence with typical wooden studs and sheet rock walls. The unit could not handle this. I returned one of these and the second one did the same thing. On the assumption that the unit was provided with 2db antennae, purchased a pair of WiFi Antenna Dual Band 7dBi 2.4GHz/5.8GHz with RP-SMA Connector and some SMA Male Plug (Pin) to RP-SMA Female (Pin) Coupling Nut Connector Adapters from Amazon for about $17 to resolve the problem. NOW it works as I intended. The product would be improved if provided with better antennae to begin with or a more practically oriented description of its capabilities.

I got this device to add a tv to a room without a cable connection. It was easy to set up and easy to use. Like others, I did have a connectivity issue and found that there has to be a clear line of sight between the two devices to insure a strong signal. Once the proper positions were achieved, the signal delivered a crisp and clear picture on the receiving tv. I tried to find an extension cable to place the antenna in an inconspicuous place but didn't find any suitable one that worked. Overall, it does a good job of adding a tv to a room that doesn't already have a cable outlet.

The range is less than 50 feet I installed the transmitter on the 2nd floor. Television located on the 1st floor. Actual distance was 47 feet. The receiver would not connect. I moved the transmitter closer by 10 feet and I got a connection. Otherwise it works ok. I use this for my video security monitor.

Easy set up right out of the box. Nothing complicated here. Synced immediately with receiver and I had wireless 4K HD running in minutes. Transmitter is roughly 25 ft from receiver no lag no glitching. I would have liked this to have more than one input for the transmitter. As such I have to physically unplug the cable box if I want to use the Xbox but it’s no big deal. Overall very happy.

The setup was simple and they worked for the first 4 days. Unfortunately they started stuttering and dropping out, and after that I was unable to get the devices to work smoothly again. I've only owned these items for 14 days and they are already paper weights.
You can find my listing on eBay if you are interested in trying these, as they will be at a great discount and practically brand new!

This does what it is supposed to do. I use this device in my living room so that I can have a wireless set-up for my mounted tv. Sometimes the signal goes out but pucks right back up within seconds. I would recommend this kit for anyone who wants to go wireless.

Don't take the 3 stars as warning. This product can get the job done at it's rated specs. It's just not good enough for what I wanted.
I needed more range and actually wanted the 60Hz option.
I ended up running a wired connection with a splitter instead.

My local cable company doesn't offer a whole home DVR solution and I needed to find something that would allow us to watch recorded programs on an additional screen. The IOGEAR wireless kit does the job well! Picture quality is indistinguishable from the original screen and the remote control extension works well when controlling the remote cable box. The only issues I've noticed is a slight audio attenuation at the screen connected to the TX box where the signal is split, and, both TX and RX boxes appear to operate hot.
A good solution for a multi-room situation.

So far so good. I connected it from my receiver then to my first TV. My second TV is about 30 ft away, with no major obstructions. The picture is good, I haven't had a problems yet. I am very pleased so far. I had hdmi wire direct and realized the hdmi was no longer good. I did replace the hdmi and use both. I'm gonna send the wireless an extra 10 ft to a third TV. Hopefully everything stays working good. Seems a little cheap the way it was created, maybe the product could be a little more sturdier. But over all I'm satisfied.

Worked ok (lag between sound and mouth movement) for a short while, but I dealt with it because I was using it between a ceiling mounted projector, and my receiver (instead of punching holes in my walls). It now doesn't work at all after a couple of months...it could probably be attributed to the heat coming off of the projector, but you would think that these things would be built for that. Either way, there aren't very many options if you cant use an actual HDMI cable from your projector to your receiver....so, good luck!

Set up about 10 feet apart to eliminate HDMI cable running across ceiling to projector. It does lose connection from time to time...sometimes a couple times a day....others not for days. Not sure how well it would be for longer transmissions.

I don’t usually write reviews for products but wow this is the worst! Do they even test these things before they release them to the public. We bought this to avoid running cables behind walls and we had a new fireplace put in and I dropped a hardline in just in case and glad I did. We had to wait for the fireplace to get done which was about a month from date of
Purchase. From day one once we had it hooked up this thing would drop the signal Freeze up and just not connect at various times throughout the evening. When I tried to return it it was no longer returnable at all and to add insult to injury Best Buy dropped the price by $125 so even if I could get store credit which I can’t I would o my get the $125 but instead I am out $250. Thanks a lot Best Buy and IOGear!! Just a total piece of crap!!

This was something I ended up returning. Overall it was easy to set up, plug and play, no apps. I watch one movie and wondered why the screen was over all dark. There were a few glitches however it was a straight shot and only 30ft. If you are about the experience in watching a movie I’d try a hdmi extender instead of anything wireless.

The requirement to string an HDMI cable in order to present from my laptop to an audience was unwieldy, so the wireless system is the answer. There is some color saturation loss, but the ease of operation is igreatly enhanced.

This product was easy to set up (less than 10 minutes), but performance is poor. When the screen is dark, you see a lot of sparks and tiny flashes. There seems to be significant signal loss over 10-12 ft. with 4K content looking not so sharp and colors totally off. My sense is that the 30 fps frequency worsens any gain from 4K. I switched to the MyWireless TV 2 brand, which sends 1080p signals, and that looks and performs much better. Tried both products with Roku Ultra, Sony 4K Blu-ray player, along with a Marantz 4K receiver (SR 5013), and the IOGear fell short. Not worth the price.
