This Ion Audio LP Digital Conversion Turntable is a good idea for converting my older LP's into playlists for my Apple devices. It works easily. Just follow the instructions. It also lets me listen to my LP's. That makes this item well worth it!

I was a little worried after reading some of the more negative reviews, I have a Technics SL-QD33 turntable, (old but Great), but since the newer A/V Receivers don't provide an amplified input for turntable, it hadn't been connected for a few years. So when I decided to digitize my vinyl, I would either have to get an amp to connect it or get a turntable capable of connecting directly to the PC with it's own amp. I decided to give the ION a try, an inexpensive solution, purchasing it almost a year ago, and have not regretted it at all. My vinyl collection has items dating back to the '40s and some are in less than ideal condition, but being from the generation who grew up with vinyl, I learned ways to deal with issues a light tone-arm, and that you should dust your records before they're on the turntable. Yes this isn't a top of the line turntable, and yes the software has it's warts, but nothing a little patience won't solve. Well worth the price.

This is a great, simple turntable that does just what it's supposed to do. I use it everyday, as do my kids. No problems. If you're just looking for an easy turntable, you found it.

At last a turntable that digitizes with built-in speaker, which are not bad! Digitize LPs and cassettes through a cable, which is not included. Easy to do. Works well with a Mac!

Had to call Ion to clear up one problem, but they were a great help, and capturing the audio from our collector albums went smoothly, and we're getting great sound from them.

I thought there was a problem with my albums and bought the vinyl restore product but some of the records would still hang up and if I wasn't fast enough it would give me blue screen of death on PC. It wasn't the records it is apparently the turntable or the software because I can play the albums fine on my original turntable without any hangups. I did all of them that I was having issues with, they all worked fine. When I recorded onto cassette and then to PC they worked well. I also bought the tape player.

I purchased the Ion Audio to digitize tapes and records. The record transfer worked but not the tape. After talking with ION, exchanged product for new turntable. Same results. Bought Ion tape recorder but not available in store--mailed to me; didn't work through turn table but would directly to computer. Called Geek Squad--fixed computer problem. My recorder now worked; didn't need Ion recorder. Best Buy wouldn't exchange because after 15 days of purchase. I guess I should have returned the recorder within 15 days, since I didn't have time to try it (must plan ahead for hours long Geek Squad sessions), and reordered the recorder, if necessary. What a pain in the neck! Assistant Manager summarily denied return and then, as I was irritated, said I wasn't nice enough for her to offer Best Buy Store Credit. This is the second time I’ve had difficulty with Best Buy interpretation of its policy. Will cancel card and look elsewhere for electronic and other products.
