Simple and easy to use...it was great being able to go through my old home movies.

There are probably BETTER ways to transfer old video tapes to digital, but there's not CHEAPER. Worked as described. Only issue is if you let the tape run longer than 5 minutes, the software will stop recording... not sure if that's a software glitch or my computer.

This Ion video converter works very well. This is going to save me hundreds of dollars. Easy record with great clarity and enhanced the videos without any painstaking tweaking. For the price, you can't go wrong. Pays for itself after the first conversion.

Just getting going on this device but from the get-go the device is easy to set-up and the software seems user friendly.

I purchased this to transfer VHS tapes to digital. The software that comes with it works good but see's most home videos as a copyright infringement. I tried to contact the company support but had no response. There are alot of people having this issue but the company is not correcting the issue. Lucky i purchased this to replace a ION VCR to PC that the USB port went bad i a have to connect the new converter to the ION VCR via the RCA ports and can use the software that came with the original VCR to PC device. Not sure what made me buy another ION product but i did. As far as the converter working it is good except the housing is to close to the ports and a lot of RCA plugs do not fit in unless you loosen the housing screws that are under the rubber feet. Once you loosen the screws, get plugged in and find a different software that works with it it works good.

Did exactly what i needed it to do and since i already owned the updated software it was a mere plug and record deal. It's awesome .

The converter came with software and works very well in converting VHS to DVD through a PC. The process was seamless and easy.

The product works phenomenal, but the instructions for setting it up are pathetic. The software included is also horrible. If on a mac, just export the files to iMovie.

We needed this to do a video transfer from a TiVo to a computer. It worked slick. My husband did most of it; it was a bit tricky to get the software loaded but not too bad. I think the only bad thing was he couldn't get it to start recording exactly where he wanted it. I will probably use iMovie to finish editing it exactly as we want it. Overall, it was a good purchase.

it does create dvd's from vhs as advertised. Instructions on software bundled with device sketchy but customer support was good at handling doubts.

I have had problems using this device. I will continue to work with it.

I've been trying to save some old family videos, including some childhood videos I'm sure my wife wishes were lost to time, and was thrilled to find hardware and software that purported to work on a Mac! The setup was easy enough, and the software worked as described. There is, however, a bit of a learning curve for first-timers like me. The device works on both PC and Mac, but the software for PC is much more user-friendly and engineered. The Mac version lacks a lot of control, which is annoying. But it does work, which is ultimately all that matters.

This product has made converting VHS treasures to your computer an easy process. Highly recommend!

Works as expected, software package was outstanding

This product worked the first time and as advertised. However, using the RCA adapter that was supplied with the camcorder did not offer the best video quality (NO fault of the Ion Video product). That being said, I was able to get the video converted and place it on DVDs so that they would place on my Blu-Ray player.

Works exactly as expected. Straight forward to install the matching software on my Windows 7 Laptop, then just connect the Ion converter to the PC and the Camera, then just playback the recorded video tape from the camera and save the files on the laptop. Then follows conversion to a Vimeo file and upload to a vimeo website. The results are great and the streaming from Vimeo are excellent.

I'm not a computer or software expert but found this product easy to use and it functioned as advertised.. I had to use this device because my computer couldn't locate a driver so didn't recognize my camcorder when connected. I transferred over 30 Hi 8 tapes to DVD and was very pleased with the result but the process is time consuming but not the products fault.
