Saw a different version of this in a friend's car. I liked the ldea so thought I'd give this one a try. My friend's has a bolt to secure the mount which lends itself to cracking the plastic if too tight (he did it, and I had seen it noted in other reviews). This has a more foolproof lever underneath. The swivel has loosened up a bit, but as long as the phone stays there, I'm good!

This holder is great - it has held several different phones. Having a holder at eye level beats one that is in a cup is much safer.

I absolutely love this product! It works perfectly in my Honda Civic. My CD player is slightly angled up, so I just place it it my CD slot and don't even have to lock it down, making it easier to remove when I'm not using it. Much easier than the suction cup mounts that won't stay attached. LOVE IT!!

This is stable and easy to use. As long as you don't need your CD player it's better than sticky dash or windshield suction cup. Also doesn't block an airvent.

Not the most solid mount. It does fit and clamp into the CD slot well, but the ball mount for the phone is a little loose.

This does the job you are looking for it to do. And does it better than any of the vent holders by far. Still is a little loose and moves around some, hard starts or turns will shake it out of the slot. The release mechanism is good and it holds the phone very steady. Definitely the best I’ve tried without going the magnet or permanent stick route.

This phone mount works great. Very solid grip on the phone, easy to insert and remove and will handle different size phones regardless of who may be driving the vehicle. Consider where your CD slot is located because when the phone is in-place it will block some dash/console buttons. Took a little getting used to but not a real problem. Have never used this brand before but so far very happy with the quality of the equipment.

I use the mount for a Samsung galaxy note 8 and it works as it should. It holds the phone great and is easy to use one handed. The auto clamp function works and does not need additional adjustment. Due to the weight of the note 8, the phone does shake a bit when vehicle is in motion.

I used to have a magnet mount for my phone that would block my vent that I hated so I picked this up as I never use my CD player. I prefer this a lot more than my previous mount and I’ve never had my phone fall out of it. The directions are a bit confusing and you might not feel your phone is secure at first but you get used to it.

This is a good mount, but there are newer versions available at other retailers. If you have to buy at best buy and need a non-magnetic CD mount, then this is as good as Best Buy has available. But the small rubber in the back can cause a mark on your phone or case....It holds fine though and is simple to use....

I use this holder for my iPhone 6s plus. I was a bit reticent about using the CD slot. However, it holds very well. The piece that fits into the CD slot 'expands' to grip the CD slot when you press down on a lever connected to it. CDs can be played while the holder is in place. The arms grip my phone quite nicely and is tillable. Though the phone blocks info on my radio screen, it is worth having my phone out of my lap. Also I can still reach around it to press preset buttons. I like the small footprint of this holder and prefer it off of my windshield. I got a good price by purchasing an open box 'like new' item.

I needed a phone holder that fit where I needed it in my car and easy to reach. I also didn't want to have anything on my dash or windo. This is a great solution since I don't use my cd slot of my radio. I just don't like that the phone is not protected on the bottom like the other iottie products.

Installation was very easy and it holds the phone very securely. I have the iphone 7 plus and have no trouble inserting or removing the phone with one hand. The only con i have is that it does block the rest of the docking area, so you if your CD holder is near any of the controls it can be cumbersome.

Works as advertised easy to assemble, holds the phone nice and tight, You can have your phone in Portrait or Landscape you choose your preference. I did not want a window suction cup mount, and I also did not want an air vent mount, this was the perfect mount for me.

The holder is strong and easy to use. The best part of is the automatic adjusting arms when placing the phone in the holder. I don't really care for how far it sticks out away from the dashboard. I wish it was more compact. I would recommend it to a friend.

This mount is probably the best mount I’ve ever owned. ( I’ve had many) This mount is sturdy and moves like a dream. I like that it utilizes the CD player, no need for it to be on the window, dashboard, or vent. I love it!

I've been using this clamping device for only a couple of weeks, but it's doing the job, so far. The sides got "out of sync" (one open, the other closed) on one occasion—I'm not sure how—but it took only a few seconds to get them straightened out. I like that it mounts solidly in the CD slot, is easily rotated to different angles without being "floppy," holds the phone firmly, and is easy to operate. Of course, only time will tell whether it lasts long enough to go from four stars to five. Assuming it does, I'd recommend this product to anyone wanting to mount a phone (a) without adding anything (like a magnet) to the phone or case and (b) using the CD slot so as not to mar the car's dashboard or obstruct vision through the windshield.

Rarely use CD player, but can if I decide to take the phone holder out. Superior hold with out the vibration of vent mounted holders. Adjusts to any angle for easy viewing of phone.

Since my car air vents are not positioned well this came in handy and fits right in the CD slot and locks in tight....doesn’t block the radio screen either...worked like a charm!
