We bought a Samsung refrigerator and we have had such great luck with them in the past we generally don't buy an extended warranty. We bought the Geek Squad Protection Plan because Samsung does not have an authorized repair vendor in our city. Best Buy would provide service only if we bought the protection plan. It is a good comprehensive plan at a reasonable price so we bought it just so we are not left in a lurch if we need repairs.

I had to pay for the camera and battery replacement before they would order the parts. They failed to contact me for weeks. We are unable to call the store directly. Then when they finally did contact me, they insisted that I had to come right in or they would send my parts back. Both the employee and that employee supervisor were insistent that I had to come right in there however I was not able to that day.

I went to best buy to have battery replacement. Next after the battery replacement I was having issues with my phone speaker & I came back to best buy only for them to say to take it to apple after battery replacement caused speaker issue. I learned my lesson to take my Apple products that I have to take it only to apple and not best buy. I came to best buy to ask for my money return. Not to mention when I arrived to best buy in advance I also reserved a time which took someone a while to come see me. In my opinion I think best buy should train there employees throughly so this situation does not happen to someone else.

Dropped off my iPhone 7 for battery And screen replacement. Done quickly and conveniently, very reasonable cost. Less than 1/2 the price of a new iPhone 8.

I'm rating my experience with Geek Squad at a 3 star ONLY because after 3 appointments, someone was finally able to complete our IPhone replacement transaction. The first 2 appointments were complete failures as there was a "glitch" in the system and they said they could not submit the paperwork. It took 3 appts, 3 trips, 2 different Best Buys and over a month before a someone figured out a way around the glitch. Not sure I'll use them in the future.

Went in to replace my iPhone 6S battery. Geek Squad replaced it quickly and without issues. My phone has worked perfectly since I got the replacement 6 months ago.
