The robot mop cleans ok. Not as good as a human, but does the job. I really like that you can use your own cloths or Swiffer cloths if you choose. I am satisfied so far with this purchase. My only complaint is that I purchased this product listed as Open Box Excellent, but it had clearly beed used and was missing batteries (which does not follow their description of Open Box Excellent).

Best thing created since sliced bread!! Love her. So quiet. Cleans great. I'm spreading the word. I use pre wet Swiffer pads. Works great. House smells so clean .easy to load. I had back surgery so this is perfect. Also bought the Roomba. Bundle it. Will not regret it !

Cleans well, but the cube is annoying

This isn't like the roomba where it will map out your home. It uses cubes that project on your ceiling. This works fine for the room where you place the cube, but doesn't work well with one cube and multiple rooms. It holds enough water to clean half of a 1400 square foot apartment, but it only partially cleans two of three rooms. In the two smaller rooms it looses the signal from the cube which I place in the largest room. This should have been designed like the roombas or the Braava jet 240 where it doesn't require the cube and just simply maps out the rooms when cleaning. The Braava jet 240 doesn't hold enough water and doesn't use cloths as the 380t does. The cloths are a plus as you can use them, wash them, then reuse. The cloths are like common lint free clothes. They seem to be made of the same material. The mop doesn't try to go on carpet, so no worries there. The 380t is larger than the 240, so I suspect the 240 would clean in a few places in my apartment where the 380 doesn't fit, but it's only a couple places where the 380t doesn't clean. The larger size does give more room for a larger battery compared to the 240 thereby giving the 380 plenty of runtime. The 380t shouldn't entirely replace mopping. It should take care of your floors in between the times that you mop which it does well. If your hardwood/tile floors are small (300 square feet or smaller), I would recommend looking at the 240, but if your rooms are much larger as mine are, the 380t is the better one to go with even with having to deal with the cube since you won't have to keep adding water multiple times per cleaning. Of note: the 380t is manual start so it doesn't have scheduling capabilities and doesn't connect to any app. For some this may be a deal breaker, but since I have to fill it with water before each cleaning, I have to handle the 380t anyway, so it not having scheduling capabilities wasn't a problem for me. All of these mops will be much better when iRobot adds a built in water heater and full scheduling capabilities.

It is effortless, seamless and so far the best I've seen. Now I do not mean that it is end of eternity and it is a perfect product. There are some few things which can be improved such as Battery Life, More area coverage, self charging, better navigation skill, better mopping power, soap/cleaner refill option. Still a good product as it outshine the manual cleaning without manual efforts.

iRobot - Braava 380t is a great start

My first impression is the iRobot - Braava 380t is a great auto Swiffer. This isn't intended to say there is anything wrong with it in any way. But you have to keep in mind that there isn't any type of vacuuming actually happening. It simply uses a pad (you can actually use the Swiffer pads) and pushes the dirt around. It DOES indeed do a good job at this, but if you are looking for a vacuum, you'll need to look at another model. I'm pleased with the "mop" feature. You just change to the other pad and base, fill with water, and set it to go. This is still Swiffer style of mopping. The map system does do a fairly good job. After I rearranged the living room it took a little longer for it to re-learn the layout but it did get it done. My plan is to keep this for the "mop" feature and get a second model that will actually vacuum. Just haven't decided on what model fits our needs just yet. With what I know now after making the purchase, I would still purchase this again if I had it to do all over. 90% of our house is hard wood floors and this does a good job of the light work. We just set it to run at night and put it back on the charger in the morning. SUPER quite (due to no vacuum feature) The bump sensor works well. I haven't noticed it hit anything hard.

    Great for lazy light cleaning

Great little cleaner for light mopping. I found it doesn't do much on the sweeping mode, just pushes the dust bunnies around. It's nice that it can use the swifter dust cloths. I'll probably stick with my rechargeable dyson for the sweeping part. Does a decent job of mopping my tile and wood floors. I just scrub up the tougher spots when it's done. Does a good job of going around the big pieces of furniture and our kitchen island. I had to move the counter stools and put up the kitchen chairs or it got confused and stuck. Very quiet. Even my hyper dog didn't seem bothered by it. He just kept an eye on it. I read mention of problems with vaulted ceiling, but we had no issues at all. Our wooden floor is under a 25 ft vaulted ceiling. Our tile floor is a combination of the vaulted ceiling and a regular 8-9 ft ceiling. I had no problems.

    Worth buying

Initially I was not sure if the Braava was worth the money - after all it is not a big deal to sweep and mop floor, but after using it for a couple of months I am sold on this little worker. The iRobot does it's job while I can relax and enjoy, and it does more thorough job than I would do. One cube covers 2 rooms and the hallway and it takes about 45 minutes to finish sweeping. Mopping takes longer, but it covers the same surface in one charge. My floors were never this clean and shiny. Why the 4 stars, then? 2 things could have been improved: 1. This unit is, basically, a computer and I believe the software keeps improving with time, but iRobot doesn't allow the software update. For such an expensive sweeper/mop a USB port could have been added to download the upgrades, or, better yet, OTA upgrades, like cell phones have. As it is, we soon are going to be stuck with an outdated model. 2. Only the lower part of the unit is padded for protection against hitting the furniture, but sometimes it is the upper part of the unit that hits a bottom of my low-standing desk, and it is not protected, so I am afraid it is going to break soon. Other than that - it is a nice little hardworking unit. If you like rest more than work - you are going to appreciate it.

Going into the purchase I was slightly skeptical as to how effective it would be. I wasn't sure how the little robot could effectively mop a large area with such a small water supply and footprint, but I knew it would be a cool thing to show to friends. I came to find, however, I love this thing! It methodically cleans my hard floors by going back and forth and left to right. Not only that, it maintains water levels for the entire cleaning session and is dead quiet. If I HAD to identify any weaknesses, it's that it doesn't completely track a room like many vac robots can do. It uses a wireless cube to define its cleaning area. It does make it very easy to control however. If you are thinking about this purchase and hate mopping floors, just stop and buy it, you won't be disappointed.

We purchased this model. We already use iRobot 630 at home. We wanted to get another iRobot to clean up tiles in kitchen and bathroom. Overall we are satisfied with it. Cleaning performance is strong. It's very quiet. It's design is compact and simple. Only criticism is sometimes rotated at same points. I am not sure if this is because of poor navigation (guess not) or something else; anyway it looked stupid and we had to intervene its operation. We purchased it as a clearance item. If we paid normal price, it might be little much for its value.

I read quite a few review before I purchased this item, and yes I'm happy with it, I gave her a name like most of the previous purchasers her name is sassy. No installation required simply charge and add water to the water well and that's it. My floor are white so I need to splash a lil Clorox or stain remover directly to the floor and it does a great job good for removing the daily dust or when the kids drop juice or liquids on the floor. You will need to move things around so she/he can do there job. I'm glad I got it. I'm sure the models to come will make better improvements to maximize their product.

Pretty good but still needs an upgrade in its gps. It has a tendency to mop the same areas but eventually if you let it alone, will cover the whole floor. So instead of wrapping it in 45 minutes it takes 2 hours to do the project. I got a big sized kitchen. But for the price we can't ask for much. I also got the Neato botvac which is does a perfect job of cleaning the floors but it is more expensive as well.

I thought this was going to just push the dust and debris around, but it does so much more! Collect and keeps the dust and debris, then switch out the pad and mode to mop and PERFECTO; a mopping robot that actually works! We put a little vinegar in with the water and works even better! And on sale it was only $249 compared to those other "vacuums". Great for wood or laminate floors!

This is a great product, it sweeps and mops well and is a great time saver. If we had the money we'd also buy the vacuum but the sweeping function is pretty good. Battery life isn't great though, and you can't schedule cleans like other items in the series. But if you have hardwood floors, i would definitely recommend this product.

Curb your expectations, and it's pretty good

This is a maintenance robot. A really expensive maintenance robot. It's not going to scrub your floors for you, or do a deep clean, but if you kept up on it regularly (once, or twice a week), it will keep your floors looking pretty good. If you need your floors polished, expect this robot to leave streaks. This isn't for you. But floors that are textured? This will do fairly well (curbing your expectations). The main thing you have to remember is to dampen the cloth, before starting it up. Don't soak it, just dampen it. It won't just push the water out of itself, into the cloth. It's more of a seeping thing. Outside of that, the GPS cube? I'm not sure if that works all that well, or not. I typically place it somewhere, and the robot seems relatively stupid. The biggest frustration with this unit is that if you don't get the pad perfect, the thing backs itself into a corner, and starts beeping at you. You need to piece everything together just perfectly, or else it turns stupid on you. I'm still not sure what the magic sauce is that it likes, but if you fight with it a few times, it eventually works.

I did a Lot of research prior to investing in this machine. I read that damp mopping tile could leave dirt in the grout lines. I have wood floors, so this is not an issue for me. My floor always looks clean now, and I rarely need to use a mop. The Braava 380T is not going to do well on a filthy floor, but it will keep your floor looking good if you use it to maintain a clean/cleanish floor. My dog brought mud into an entryway, and although the Braava did make it much better, it left tire marks because it couldn't get all the stain. This machine does what they claim is does, and gets every part of the floor.

We decided to buy this item once our 2 puppies moved in, and it is a great value. It is very thorough when mopping, and setup is simple, as long as you RTFM. The only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is because it doesn't network into the smartphone app, but I would give it a 4.5 stars, if that was an option. On the plus side, the battery life is great, and it can manage to mop our 600 Sqft of laminate flooring on a single charge/reservoir.
