Does everything it's supposed to do. Figures out room size, goes under furniture, does the whole space, then returns to its charge station. Don't believe it would handle heavy pet hair or a muddy entryway, but does a great job on normal traffic rugs and floors. Came with a 'virtual wall' to confine it to a space with an open exit. Plus it's fun to watch and talks when it gets in trouble. Or set it to run when you're not there, and return to a cleaned space.

I've used it a couple times now and it doesn't a decent job of cleaning my hardwood floors. Though it bangs pretty hard into some of my furniture.

So glad I purchased this! Probably the recent purchase I'm most excited about. Works great! I hate sweeping and vacuuming and needed a new vacuum.

My Roomba is awesome and very hard working. She had an easy set up and programming (M-F @12 pm). The rest is history. Every day I come home from work and like magic my floors and rugs are clean and she (the Roomba) is docked and resting for the next day. I know she has worked because, the floors are clean, but also because when I empty the holder, it is always filled. There have been a few times when she has not found her way back to the docking station or has gotten stuck. Those times are mostly due to human error, such as not putting cords away or moving furniture out of position and then not putting it back. Buying the Roomba was a good decision and one I would make over and over again. I thought I might be missing out on something by not getting a more expensive model, but this one has been perfect for us. A few notes: I have not used it on carpet... just wood floors, tile, and area rugs. It is not quiet, but less noisey than a vaccuum. I could put up with the a sound if I were home, but I would not be able to watch television in the same room. I could still read, rest, or do home office work with no problems. I also keep doors shut so the Roomba does not go into "unsafe" zones such as my children's bedrooms.

The better thing i bought last year!! It works great, low noise, works very fast. Now, i dont use shoes in my house anymore! The floor is very clean

This iRobot is a great investment. It cleans the house while we are not there. it saves a lot of time. if my wife free time is worth 5$/hour - below minimum wage, then we have got our money back in 1 month. got a protection plan - just in case. One thing - we should ensure of is that we do not leave clothes or wire on the ground. Saves a lot of time, the house is always clean. Great purchase. 400$ might look steep - worth every cent.

Needed a new vacuum that would save my back and get all the hair from our Siberian Husky (and they shed!!!) and Border Collie...and Roomba is the perfect answer! Talk about multi-tasking! Roomba makes it easy! I can't recommend this enough! No more swiffer, and no more sore back!

Works well on tile and carpeting, gets job done and not very noisy.

Works great. Does at times get stuck under couch. Louder than expected.

I was hesitant with other reviews saying that it was sometimes a pain, but clean your house! lol we have 1500 sq ft down stairs of wooden floors and this roomba is a beast. It goes under my bed, through the bathrooms somedays. Its cleaning pattern changes but it somehow workout for us. I have back problems and it helps me out. We have 4 2 legged and 3 4 legged mess makers. I have found it needing help when I leave stuff on the ground (dog toys or shoes) our fault though. It goes from wood floors to tiles like nothing. I love it.

My wife and I have a large house with a lot of wide-open floor surfaces spaces. The Roomba cleans both the tile floors and carpet automatically and has eliminated the need to manually sweep the hard floor surfaces or our downstairs carpet. We love the fact that it can clean underneath the furniture (under the bed and coach) where our vacuum cleaner can't reach.

We named it scooter! Awesome cleaning tool, especially if you have a lot of hardwood flooring!

I bought this vacuum bc I have a 3 yr old and twin babies and no time to vacuum but have to often bc the babies are always on the floor. Our bedrooms and basement have carpet and the rest is wood floors with large area rugs. I typically use it in the carpeted rooms and it is so easy. I just set the invisible barrier outside the bedroom door, turn on Roomba, and leave the room. After a while I go back and it will dock itself leaving behind nice vacuum lines. I then empty the filter which is way easier than my heavy Dyson. Then set it in the next room. The bonus is that my son thinks its a cool robot and watches it from the bed and babies sometimes call asleep to the hum of it. Though you should not have it going in a room with kids on the floor, it immediately turns away when confronted by any object. My son has also been a bit hard on it and it has still worked perfectly. Battery lasts long and doesn't take long to charge after the initial charge. My mom has one too and loves it.

We should have brought this a long time ago ,it cleans underneath the chairs and tv stands as well as under dust collectors like the BEDS

Over the past 5 years we have purchased two IRobot Roomba's prior to the 650 series. We have the 780 and 625 series, which the 625 had many problems, but ran great when working. The 780 model has been amazing. Our 625 series is in need of a battery replacement, etc. So my husband bought me the 650 for Christmas. Since taking out of the box....it has many malfunctions. Or IRobot has done some questionable upgrades. The 650 series must be started from the home base. The "dock" button does not work and Roomba has much difficulty in attempting to return to home base and set properly for charging. We have received charging errors as it did not dock correctly and we have had to reset Roomba's system. Anyway, called bestbuy and advised as an elite plus member I have a 45 day return policy and we are returning and upgrading to the 870. I would recommend Roomba, as I believe we just purchased a lemon.

Only had it for a day now and it's already done it's thing. Cleaned the rooms then found its way back to the dock. It's pretty cool.

Bought this for my furbabies! Great product. We have a small 640 sq ft apartment and it cleans up all the dirt/hair!

I bought this for my wife to take some stress off of her and it has been the perfect buy. I would recommend this to everyone. It is extremely easy to use and works great!

I love setting this before I leave for the day and having a clean floor when I come home. Easily transitions from tile to area rug.

Saves lot of time. Removes lot of dust. Always felt the floor was clean, but irobot roomba proved me wrong. I was so impressed i bought braava as well. Works really well for my wooden floors. This comes with one virtual wall. It would have been good if there were atleast two in the box.
