Customers have good things to say about the Roomba 650's cleaning performance, ease of use, pet hair removal capabilities, and battery life. Many appreciate its scheduling feature and its ability to pick up dirt effectively. However, some customers point out that the navigation could be improved, and the noise level is sometimes a concern. The small dustbin size and occasional docking issues are also mentioned as drawbacks.

We have two dogs which means a lot of dog hair all over the place. Running the Roomba while we are at work does wonders and the dogs ignore it. It is a bit loud so best to have it on while you aren't around as it will do it's work and then put itself back in its bay. A little pricey but if you have some extra dough and want some extra free time, it's worth it.

nice cleaning for the carpet. easy to use. One less star for sometimes it can be stuck under sofa (maybe it`s the problem of my sofa too low), and a little noisy.

I love the schedule setting. It can be loud and I schedule it to run while out of the home. The only big problems are it fills up fast (I have a black lab) and can get stuck between some furniture. After some blocking off some of the points it would get stuck, It's been a help on the frequency I have to vacuum.

Wow, cant believe I waited so long! I still believe it's way too much money, BUT Best Buy had the best deal AND price matched another competitor who had an even better deal! Device is simple and stress free. Cleans pretty well. Be sure to do a full day charge cycle or it will return to the dock to re-charge mid-cleaning. That's the best part. It knows when to charge and heads straight to the dock. I come home from work and hit clean cycle and off it goes! I use every-other day. I haven't tried the scheduling part. Most likely will not. I rather be home when it's off cleaning. Not that it needs any supervision. Plus, it's fun watching it move across the room. It does hit furniture pretty hard, at first. A learning curve. After a full runs it begins to map out a route and sticks to it on a regular cleaning routine. Device begins to move slowly toward any large items (furniture) it's encounter before. Just remember, if you move furniture around it will need to start the process all over.

I read all reviews before buying, I do not have cats or dogs in my home. But do have five children coming and going and a dusty house. The roomba 650 does a fantastic job...Have a lot of hardwood, been down years, it gets dust/grime between boards - been there years. Got one virtual wall with it, works great - if need to block two openings use a stool or high chair - don't work as good as the wall but do work. In bedrooms just shut door and let work, it turns itself off when room is clean. Wanted one of these for years, was afraid it was a gimmick. It works GREAT, area rugs, goes over until clean. Someone said did not work well in dining room because of so many legs, we run in ours and think it does wonderful. Best of all my HUSBAND LOVES also. Thank you Roomba 650.

I bought my Roomba worried it would not be able to clean my 2 br 1500 sq ft apt. With rugs and hardwood floors as well as a tile kitchen. I WAS WRONG to ever worry! The ROOMBA 650 cleans great! My shedding dog, is no problem. Only issue is remembering to get my drapery cords up off the floor. ( it gets tangled but does figure out how to get untangled, AMAZING!). When I had a problem, and my ROOMBA stopped working, the customer service talked me through steps to fix the issue, when that did not work, I was SENT a NEW ROOMBA, no questions asked! (But I did have to save the packaging, so I could return the broken unit)

I love the idea of this a vacuum doing all the work for me. I wanted to love this vacuum. It did pretty well the first few times. It does fill up fast and has to recharge before doing the entire house but I could have lived with it. (For reference I live in a 1600 sq ft 1 story home with all hardwood floors) But after about a week it kept getting lost and running into furniture or patio door repeatedly. I would have to come turn it off, move it somewhere else and turn it back on. It would clean over and over again in the same couple rooms and then dock and never touch the back of the house. I ended up having to put it in the room I wanted vacuumed and shutting the door and when it's done repeat In a different room. It also kept getting stuck under the fridge and dishwasher. Like I said, I wanted to love it. I could have lived with the inconsistency and flaws if it cost less but for the price it was not worth it. Just needs some improvements

My lil "Ramrod" (as I've named it) is awesome!! Just turn him on & let him go do his thing! Cleans the floors great! I have a lab who sheds quite a bit, and he picks up all the hair! I wish the bin was a bit bigger, but it works anyway. The only thing I hate is how noisy he is.. But I just run him when I'm gone during the day so it's fine. It also claims he can run over cords with no issues, but I have found this isn't true.. He drug my hair straightener off the counter & dropped it off under the bed one day so I couldn't find it - I wasn't happy when I thought it'd disappeared! But really, nothing is perfect, and I am extremely happy with my Ramrod!!

So I know this is called a Roomba, but I got it for use in my average sized apartment. It is easy to set up and does a good job cleaning and getting under my couch and bed. I have a dog that sheds and it picks up the hair fairly easily. Also a nice feature is the scheduler where you can have it vacuum at certain times. The two things, while small that I don't like as much about it is that the path finding on the Roomba makes it get lost if it is traversing multiple rooms and won't make it's way back to its charger sometimes because of that. Another is that you have to clean the entire vacuum apparatus after every session. Sometimes I forget and it shows because the vacuum performance is not near as good. But all in all I am happy with my purchase and it does make my carpet much cleaner.

We got this vacuum in an effort to cut down on the dog hair and dirt the dogs tracked in from outside. The Roomba does great. We set it to run every day we are at work. Most days it does fine, and sometimes it gets stuck on the rug because the feet of the vacuum can't quite get over it if it approaches the rug at a bad angle. However, overall we are satisfied with the product and glad we got it. It can be a little noisy, but no louder than a normal vacuum.

i wasnt sure how well it was going to work. Ive read many reviews on all the robot vacuums. it was between this one and the Neato. I decided to go with the roomba. Took it home and let it charge overnight. I let it do its thing the next morning. I didnt really pick anything up or move anything out of the way. I wanted to see how it would navigate around items. (shoes, cords, rugs, dog toys etc) I was very impressed on how well it navigated throughout my house. THe area i have it cleaning is roughly about 900sq ft. all laminate hardwood floors with rugs here and there. It got under the cabinets in the kitchen, and under the ledges of the appliances and under the couch. I had to empty the bin twice. The only areas it didnt really get that well was the transition between the rugs and floor. It did go over a few areas more than once and definitely has a weird way of navigating the rooms. Overall im pretty impressed.

This thing is amazing. I have 3 dogs in the house and had to sweep constantly. Not any more! I love how it picks up the hair even in the corners. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the vacuum can get stuck in tight places. Other than that it works great!

I bought the Roomba for my mom to help her manage all of the pet hair in her house. We turned it on straight out of the box and it worked amazingly. There was a notable difference in the vacuumed area and the untouched area (and my mom had just vacuumed the house the day before). I highly recommend the Roomba series.

First off, this is a great vacuum for not having to do anything. If it's emptied and cleaned regularly you can set it all the time and it will clean your floors great. I personally like it because it can collect all the hair and dirt you can't see stuck in carpets. You turn it on, let it run and it goes back to it's dock on it's own. The only annoyance is sometimes it can get stuck on things if it goes under a couch, or on a loose thread you might have from your bed. And if it's lost when you try to find it, good luck looking under all the furniture!
I love my roomba. He's a pretty smart fellow and cleans pretty well. Got it for my mother for mothers day and she thinks its great as well. No more having to get out the vacuum for manual work!

I'm a single dad with a very busy teen daughter & 2 cats. We're both mildly allergic to cats, but love them them. I've found that if I keep their fur cleaned up, we do just fine. So I have a Dyson DC40 which I absolutely love. I used to run it daily, which wasn't terrible, but it was often 10pm til I had the time. Now I set my Roomba to start at 2pm & we come home to a clean house every day. It's so nice to come home to no fur balls on the floors. We have a mix of carpet, laminate, and hard wood. I have one unusual threshold that's essentially a small slope that ends on a floor vent. Sometimes the Roomba gets hung up on it, but will shut itself off. You just move it, hit start, and it picks up where it left off. That's my only complaint. And moving the Roomba is much easier than running the Dyson. And speaking of the Dyson, I still do the house 1-2 times a week with it. But the Roomba does do a pretty amazing job & is plenty thorough with it's task. The couple extra dollars now is worth having the timer too. I'd definitely reccomend it to anyone considering.

I was skeptical of the Roomba, but since having 2 dogs and lots of pet hair to clean up, I caved and purchased this Roomba. I have loved everything about it, other than you have to be careful there are no cords on the floor it can suck up--I've had to untangle my phone and laptop charger several times, which is easy to do. Also, I don't recommend running the roomba while you are away if you have pets... one of my dogs vomited and the Roomba tried to clean it up---spreading it all over the floor and carpet and forcing me to replace several of the brushes, filter, etc. Nightmare. Other than those minor issues... I don't think I could live without this thing! Definitely worth the money!
