The Roomba is great I got it to deal with my corgis hair because he sheds so much and it picks up all the hair with no issues and has a great battery life

So I decided to purchase this for the wife from me and the kids for mothers day. With her going to school, working and a mother. Clean up was always taking so much of our family time. Since she has had this we are getting more family time. I have set this on a clean cycle every morning before everyone is awake and just let it do it's thing. I would have to say you would need to make sure toys and other things that are not meant to be on the floor get picked up. Than it would do the rest just need to empty the roomba at least once a week and your good. I would have to add our home is 2800 sq feet and this does the carpet, hard wood, tiles and all. It never has a issues to get back to the docking station before it dies. That was a big thing I was worry about. It is a little noisy but it's perfect cause its just another way to get everyone up in the morning. It's our own maid and can't see us without one. I did pick up the extended warranty also just in case anything went wrong but no issues yet. Do everyone a favor and purchase the maid (roomba).

Roomba makes having pets a little more manageable. While it still has to be cleaned daily, and it does not handle every object in the house well, it does a great job of minimizing the pet hair that wanders around hardwood floors and hides under the couch! That being said, I've burned through three of the units in 10 years and hope the units get more reliable as the versions improve.

This gadget is perfect for someone who: Has hardwood floor Doesn't have too many low clearance furniture Doesn't have pets that shed I got this model to try out the concept, and it works exactly as described. Cleans my rooms very well, and usually the battery lasts long enough for at least 2 rooms at a time. The randomness of it's cleaning pattern is a little strange, and I feel it uses battery life to go over the same spot more than once (but on the upside, it sure cleans every corner). Other reviews are correct, if you have a large space or too much dog hair or the like, you will need to empty the container quite frequently, otherwise it is fantastic. The top part gets scuffed when hitting low clearance furniture. The dock should be on a sturdy surface, I have it on the hardwood floor, and sometimes Roomba moves it while trying to dock, which makes it difficult to "dock" and if it's unattended, the battery will run low and it will self-shut off. For the price, good purchase.

after a bad experience with another brand tried this one and LOVE IT. It does everything as stated plus rarely does not find it's way home and will clean all I need it to on just 1 charge. Plus it is much quieter than it's competitor.

I bought this for my wife as she has been vacuuming daily. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats so we get a ton of pet hair floating around the house. We have hard wood floors throughout the house so it runs great on that. This vacuum handles the pet hair without an issue. We usually start it when we leave for work and when we get home the pet hair is under control. The only issue we have is when the Roomba tries to go up on our area rugs. It can not climb up from the wood floor. The noise... It is a bit noisy but any vacuum is noisy, that is why we run it when we are not home. Filter and dirt canister... You have to empty each time you run it or it will fill up completely. It is very simple to do and takes literally 30 seconds. There is a small filter inside the canister that needs to be replaced over time. I use a small can of compressed air and blow it out approximately once a week and it stays clean. So far we love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little bit of vacuuming help!

The vacuum cleans carpet very well. Relatively quiet and long battery life. It makes my life a lot easier.

I have been going back and forth on getting a Roomba for some time. The biggest draw was the idea that one of my cats would ride around on it. The second reason was my new apartment features bare floors and my current vacuum has a bare floor option, but actually blows dust around more than it picks up. With multiple cats they track a lot of fur around so the ability to schedule and go from floor to carpets was a big draw. The vacuum is terrific at picking up animal hair, dust, and dirt. It doesn't get caught up on wires, cords, or curtains. It can also get into really hard to reach spots with its side brush. There are some trade offs though. Although it's a relatively quiet vacuum it does require a long time to thoroughly clean a room. Whereas with an upright vacuum that's louder vacuum can finish a room more quickly. It also requires quite a bit of maintenance with brush cleaning. Overall, it's a great product but there trade offs and limitations. And my cats aren't riding it as expected, they're more freaked out by it than anything.

Set this thing up on a schedule and let it clean for you. Run it frequently for greater effectiveness. Battery life is about an hour and 15 minutes. The only gripe is the delicate door cover on the catch tank. Break or lose it and you have to replace the entire tank. $40.

So I've used my new roomba 650 twice now and have been surprised and also a little let down. I'll start with pros It's got a suprisingly good battery life. The first time I used it it had just about the whole tray filled with dust and dirt. It's surprisingly quiet for what I was expecting. I sent it out twice and hasn't gotten stuck yet. It goes all over the place. It gets along the baseboards, and made it home to its charging station both times Now the cons It misses bigger trash for example it wouldn't pick up quarter sized leaves. It seems to go over same spots a lot like its lost. I have a larger carpet on top of wood floors and it couldn't climb over it. I wouldn't recommend this as your primary vacuum but is pretty handy turning this on while you go to work and having a cleaner house than you did before you left . Overall B raiting

The Roomba is great. Huge time saver and very thorough. It vacuums every other day, and I can't believe how much dirt it picks up! I'm super happy having a robot that helps me with housework.

This roomba works great. We have tile floors and area rugs and this little robot has no problem going over them. We have 2 dogs and when the vacuum is done doing it's job the bin is full of their hair. The reason I gave it a 4 is because it had a hard time finding the dock two out of six times we've used it.

Only had it for a few days, but it was easy to setup and has worked well so far.

We have hardwood floors in the house and three large shedding dogs. The Roomba helps keep the floor clean throughout the week. Does a great job of reducing the amount of pet hair and dander.

So this little guy is as good as advertised. Bought my daughter a Ausi shep for her b-day and a year later all I hear is "his hair is everywhere" from the wife so I decided that I'm too tired to hear that and swift so I invested in a piece of mind and man did this little guy pay off. Wife now loves the dog since Roomba found his way into out home! I have a 2 bedroom apartment and he navigates himself throughout the apartment and then docks himself afterwards. There are the rare occasions he gets stuck under one of the radiators but besides that one spot, he's as good as his 350 price tag. If you don't have time to sweep everyday and your place collects dust then you need to invest in one of these, best buy indeed!

I like the fact that you can schedule it for certain days and times. I run it everyday after I leave for work. The biggest pain is you have to make sure the floor is perfectly clear of items. The Roomba loves to eat shoe strings, charger cords, cat toys, ties, frilly edges of blankets and will drag a spool of thread all over the house. I've also noticed that it scuffs up the baseboard pretty bad. Overall, it's nice to have a room that's been cleaned everyday.

Roomba was my first robotic vaccuum. I read all the other reviews where the corners aren't done optimally, but decided to give it a shot (since I just couldn't find time for vaccuuming the upright way. Have been pleased ever since. Got it on sale (double yay) amd the roomba fills it's bin every time. The only thing I could comment in a less than positive way is the algorithm used for floor coverage. I have approx 1000 square feet of area to vaccuum, and it takes a few cycles to get it fully covered. Other than that, I'm a very happy camper!

I love this thing. It sweeps at night when we are sleeping. You can hear when it is on tile, but bot enough to worry about it. I have a 80 lb. lab and it gets all the hair up off the tile and carpets. Some mornings, it will be found not in it's place. This is because it runs down far away from the docking station. 95 percent of the time, it is where it should be in the am.
