For my son's car

Exactly what I was looking for and a little more

Didn't want to spend the money on a new Bluetooth stereo for a car I am probably going to trade-in soon. Car has a cassette so this was the perfect adapter for now. Wife connects her iPhone and can listen to music from her phone in the car. Found that there is also a button on the headphone jack that performs a few basic functions but is very useful.

Did not work in my car's cassette player

I have a 11 year old Toyota with a good sound system that plays cassettes and CD's, just doesn't have an auxiliary input for the music on my phone. When I put the Call Cassette in my car system, it tries to play it like a regular cassette. Sound from my phone comes through for about a second, then it senses the end of the tape, auto-reverses and tries to play the "other side." When that fails, it just ejects the tape. Tried multiple times and even read my Toyota owners manual to see if there's a way to turn off the auto-reverse function but saw no way to do that. Contacted support at isimple solutions and they advised to return the cassette to "swap it out." I think I'll just ask for my money back.

It seems powerful for some reason, I have to turn down the volume on my phone to about 65% to balance out the sound levels in the car stereo. You can never tell how long these things will last, but it's been most the summer of jamming in a hot car and it's still running like a champ!

Instead of getting rid of the player I bought this adapter so I could play MP3's thru the system. I works perfectly for the situation I have. I have not used the hands free phone function while driving, but I did test it out and that feature was a bonus I wasn't looking for but welcome addition.
