    My main focus for music is metal, but I enjoy all genre's as long as what I am listening to is good. And this album is.

    Chuck D & company present one of the most influential hip hop albums ever made. Don't believe the hype, but believe me, this album is a classic. Also Prophets Of Rage (Chuck D's supergroup) is named after a song on here.

    If you want to listen to one of the album's that started the rap genius movement.....then get this one.This was when rap actually had meaning and a message.Not this nonsense we have today.

    Think Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime was subversive? Try this unrelenting album of early, non-radio friendly rap laced with references to the Nation of Islam. A good place to go after absorbing James Brown, Parliament, Eric B. and Rakim, the Beastie Boys, and Spike Lee movies.
