Am I the only one who had trouble setting it up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It keeps calling for me to go into the APP store. So my son set it up for me, i got home and connected it to my computer and an error message came up and now I had to re-configure and the icon is not on the I-touch anymore.

Doesn't work in densely populated cities
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product works only when radio frequencies aren't all spoken for on your FM radio. The product only works if it can find a 100% static station with no signal. I live in the Bay Area where there is no such thing. Therefore, I spent $100 on a product that doesn't work. I returned it after 10 minutes of owning it. That said, if you live in small town, USA you just might love this product since it can and will work under the correct conditions.

Works well!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The transmitter works very well when it was turned to a station with a lot of static. The only thing I don't care for about the transmitter is how it just hangs and the only place you can put it is in your lap or cup holder and causes scratches.

Piece of Junk x 3
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The manufacturer should be ashamed of this product. It is constructed horribly with cheap materials. I bought this product when I got my first iPod several years ago. Within a year it was broke. I bought another one, same problem. The wire keeps coming out near the adapter plug. I will have to buy another one, but this time I will definitely use a different manufacturer. After the next one at approx. $80 I will have officially spent just as much money on the adapter as I did on the iPod...what a joke. I also bought one for a friend as a gift, she has had it for 13 months...same problem. I wouldn't recommend this to an enemy.

Doesn't Charge the New Nano
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item is only partially compatible with the newest iPod Nano. It will play it through your radio (if you can get past the static), but your iPod will say "Charging not supported with this accessory" or something like that. If you move the iPod around the car and hold it in different positions like an old antenna, you can control the static, but who wants to bother with that?

Junk, Dont waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this before a long road trip thinking maybe perhaps these were actually useful. Even in the middle of nowhere... (Northern Nevada) I still had static. No where I mean no where did this thing actually work. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Easy to use and good sound quality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is easy to use and the sound quality is MUCH better than the cheap one I bought first. It even shuts off the Ipod when you turn off the car.

If it's your only option
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as well as I think these type of products can. If you have no other way to play your Ipod in your vehicle this is an acceptable solution.

I love this gadget!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live where radio reception is sketchy at best, I am 60% deaf, techno illiterate, and this gadget allows me to really hear and listen to my "old lady" music with ease. Playlists on my ipod come in handy for when I have my grand-daughter with me so she doesn't have to listen only to "Granny" music. The best thing is, once it is set up, you can just drive and not fiddle with anything to find what you want to listen to. Added bonus - it charges your ipod.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is completely useless. It is simply incapable of broadcasting a static-free signal to the cars radio antenna 2 feet away. How sad is that. Total garbage. I live in a smaller city with 5 or 6 radio stations, and travel by car a lot. It constantly sounds like you have tuned a radio station on the fringe of it's range.... just background static all the time. If you turn the music up real, REAL loud, you won't hear the static as much if you're in the middle of nowhere, but if you want to listen to a podcast talk show anywhere, you can forget it. They need to make this thing WAY more powerful so it can broadcast to the cars antenna. The "smart scan" feature has never worked. It actually does the opposite of what it's supposed to sometimes.

Best FM Transmitter I've ever used.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I started using this product, I was actually very suprised at the sound quality. Its such a small transmitter for how effective it is. It's very simple. I've never used another again. It sounds just about as good as directly connecting. Well, as close as you can get. If you are deciding between this and another, just do yourself a favor and try this one out. *RECOMMEND*

Works like a Charm
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE IT..... Use it when traveling, and tired of same old CD's, or Radio Radio is seriously in Want here in Montana... It works well, seems to be well built. All connections fit tight, and feel very solid. Tuning screen has large, easy to read numbers. although I would recommend setting it b4 your moving.. Great Purchase.

don't bother
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Continual static, signal fades and comes back as you drive. If your car stereo doesn't have an input slot for your Ipod or MP3 player, you're better off to burn CDs of the music you want to hear and just play them directly in your player.

works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item works great. I bought it so the kids could manipulate the songs from the back seat or passenger seat....and they can. However, when I am in the car by myself, I have to stick the ipod in my cup holder so it doesn't slide around. That is the only downfall.....which isn't a downfall to me. I've had it over a year and it works consistently...no matter where we drive.

It works but....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It work well in Rural areas. But it really isn't very well built. I've re-soldered the wires going into the tuner twice in a year and a half. I would not recommend purchasing. It's not work 49.00.

Best IPOD Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit to listen to my IPOD in the company truck without having to install ANY equipment in the truck. I enjoy the wonderful music through the factory truck speakers, while traveling between jobs. This unit works very well and I would recommend it to anyone.

Doesn't work on iPhone 3G
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite the description saying it works with iPhone, it doesn't. I hooked it up and got a pop up on my iPhone saying it wasn't compatible and I wouldn't be able to receive calls.

Spotty reception at best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great idea - listen to your ipod in your car by just plugging this in. Problem is that you need to find a station wiht static (& preferrably with static on either side of it). Every 2 feet you drive, though, your itunes get replaced by static, radio talk, etc. I returned mine for credit. Thankfully, Best Buy was great about letting me return it. It's much less frustrating to bring my altic lansing in motion in the car & play it that way.
