    I bought one of these to replace the Insignia item of the same type and design. The construction seems solid, and the shielding seems to be made of better material than Best Buy's store-brand cousin. These are very useful if you have a device with a mini DisplayPort, such as what is found on Microsoft's Surface line.

    Found myself with a valid adapter for wiring up my Intel NUC (5th Generation) grabbed this as it was convenient for running on the go and setting up my NUC for VMware.

    We needed a DVI cable and DisplayPort-to-DVI Adaptor to set up an Apple laptop to a larger display monitor to show our parents 50th Anniversary slide show. The Insignia Cable and j5 adapter did the trick! Easy to set up and the slide show appeared right away!

    I had a Rocketfish adapter that stop working. I needed a new adapter and bought this one. It was on sale and I needed a adapter. It is working fine. This one works the same way as the Rocketfish adapter. It works and that is all I care about.

    Plug and play. Easily connects my laptop to a large monitor display. No software to install. You just need to have a male dvi cable to attach it to.

    I bought this adapter for use with my new Surface Pro 4 and the Pro 4 dock. It works well. The only down side is that the cable portion is rather stiff and it doesn't bend easily when I move the dock around.
