something my husband bought to hook up the computer to the new tv.

I have just spent the most frustrating 3 hours of my life. After the Samsung 7 blew up. the 8 blew up on pr. I bought in on the early offer on day one. When Best Buy told me my phone was there I was there when the doors opened, After an hour of frustrating run around and feeble set up support I went home to register and claim my deal. The Box deal was no longer offered. I called Samsung incredulous that they would not honor on their offer. the first customer service person I talked to told me she has heard that complaint a lot. But there was nothing she could do. She did say that Samsung was going to help me by offering a $140.00 refund, But she would have to transfer me to someone else who would handle that offer. She transferred me and I began to hold over two hours. When the agent finally came on line he told me he knew nothing about the offer and asked me for my incident number, when I gave it to him, he told me he could not access that incident number and there was nothing he could do for me. I can't believe that a company that needs so much to cure its PR problems that would be so tone dead. Come on I just spent over $850 for my phone, the least you can do is honor you deal.

Little bit expensive but it works and does what it is suppose to do

Works well. Very simple to use. Just take out of box and connect to your laptop and desktop monitor. I work from home a few days of the week and this device allows me to use my laptop and 25" monitor at the same time.

Great, portable option compared to bulky multi port options

Does basic job but screw nuts fail to align with VGA receptor holes. As result connection is at risk for sudden disconnection.

Needed to pick one of these up for a presentation to projector who could only accept VGA. This model was cheaper than the Apple brand so I decided to risk it. Worked flawlessly and I saved myself some money.

This adapter works great for what I needed. I tried a couple different other adapters that did not work, prior to purchasing this one. I would highly recommend purchasing this product.

When one buys an ultra book today, there is a feeling of exhilaration at the light weight, thin profile, and functionality. Oh, wait, that functionality comes at a cost: fewer peripheral connections. So thus we get back to dongles. My HP Spectre has forced me to buy j5 dongles for Ethernet and for VGA. Both are well made, have about the thickest cords on the market, and seem sturdily built. One of them I was able to get on sale, while the other I had to grab while heading to a meeting at a site with older connection options (no DisplayPort or HDMI). At any rate, this is a really nice brand. If you are going to buy one, at least get one that will last.

Having both PC and Mac products, I am always aware of the need for dongles and adapters, especially now with USB-C and ultrabooks that are too slim for last-gen connections (Ethernet & VGA). I use two different j5 adapters for my skinny HP Spectre that has USB3 and a mini display port. (HDMI has actually been problematic for sound--not on the HP, but into AV boxes/boards I've used in conference rooms.) I've also used the j5 on Macs. Great product, and I really appreciate the thick cables. When you pay this much, you don't want to worry about skinny cables and wimpy connectors. Buy with confidence. No glitches or "handshake" issues or updates needed

My gf needed for her presentation. Worked fine. It was a tad bit on the expensive side but hey it worked.

I have had several of the J5 Create adapters, mini display, HDMI and USB. All have held up well. I have also tried other brands and none have out lasted the J5 Create.

I realize that nine pin technology is so last century, however when that is what my school provides me to connect to a projector, that is what I use. Worked fine.

This accessory is a definite must have for me. I've used the adapter several times and it has worked as expected with no issues. Very pleased with the product.
