I asked around and a BB rep recommended the “UltraDrive, Modular Dock.” I tried it out and within minutes I had both monitors, scanner and my Sonos working -outstanding design and smart functionality!

Manages its power well (so I don't get the "too many devices are plugged in to supply power to x device"). After a while, my chords have made it's normal resting place a little bit separated from the edge of the laptop, but that's on me and my cable management. Head my cautionary tale.

Nice solution for surface connectivity

It works well, the only con it's that the usb c terminals on the adapter doesn't fit those on the surface when are all together. It's not much of a problem because I never use all the ports at the same time.

Only downfall is that I must remove the protective cover from the bottom side of the computer so that the device will plug in. Other than that small issue, it works perfectly.

This dock has a really close tolerance between itself and the side of the laptop. This prevents using a case on the keyboard side of the laptop. If you would be interested in a dock with similar features, but has a more traditional USB-C cable connection that may work better with a case I would suggest the dock below:

Comes out easily if you have a laptop case

I would have to be careful if I moved my laptop cause the cord would pull it out easy. But I did like the magnetic attachments which I ended up using instead of the main hub part for most of the time.

Needs better connection between unit & computer

Only works well if computer is sitting flat on a solid surface. Otherwise the USB connector is easily & unintentionally removed or bent.

can't have enough USB connections

Works great. The only complaint is that at $80, it was very pricey, I thought.
