Great reverseable cable for my MacBook Pro to my time machine.

This is a great product idea but transfer became very frustrating when it kept dropping connections between computers. I had both plugged into a 3.0 usb port as directed. I had to constantly restart my downloads.

The product works great! I recommend it for all to use.

Not to many devices that you can connect to. Main use it for just a few devices.

I doubted the reliability this would provide between a mac and PC, but it worked.

Instructions were a bit confusing. The product couldn't handle large transfers of files.

Needed to transfer files from a Windows desktop PC to a Windows laptop. Geek Squad recommended this item. Software would not download. After two days of working on this project, I abandoned the effort and returned the product. I then used a USB drive and transfer software supplied with Windows and that worked perfectly. The lesson learned -- stay away from the J5 - Create. It only creates headaches.

Good cable for a decent price. Backwards compatible with USB 2.0

Gave a 3 because the items was not what I needed. Was referred to this item by sales associate and it wasn't what worked for my printer.

This cable was cool...when it worked. Using the included software, you could connect two computers and move the pointer from one computer to the other. In theory, this could make file migration a breeze. However, the connection kept getting lost. It was much more trouble than it was worth. Ended up returning the cable and using an external drive to copy and move files from the old machine to the new one.

Got this cable to help transfer data from old computer to new. Pretty straightforward operation. Senses speed of USB ports and upgrades or downgrades accordingly. Rudimentary software but it works!

I knew this product was getting mixed reviews, but decided to give it a shot. My initial experience on Windows 10 was that it was cumbersome to set up and figure out the first time -- not very intuitive -- but it worked. The first time. Since then, I haven't been able to get it to work consistently -- sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Works fine for sittings but it wont work as advertised on the box.

a very nice product when you have 2 computers and no extra space for 2 keyboards and 2 mousses. and no need to use a usb stick for transfer files....

I just wanted a usb > usb. This thing comes with software that doesn't work. Very frustrating. It was easier to use a usb drive to migrate from one computer to the other.
