Functional as promised, but runs hot.

The SD card slot is on the "tight side", making some card difficult to insert. Surprised by how hot the device gets. Have to place on a drink coaster or other barrier to avoid burning wood table.

Especially since the hub is built with compactness and portability in mind and if the USB-C pass-through charging and/or all ports on the hub are utilized. This adapter is a great addition to a laptop that does not have an array of different ports. A wired network connection is typically faster and more stable than WiFi. We appreciate you taking the time to post a review.

Posted .Sash, warm touch is normal as electricity passes through when in use. If the adapter ever becomes hot to the point where it is harming you, we recommend reaching out to the technical support team mentioned on the casing and a rep will be happy to exchange it under the manufacturer's two year warranty.

I do not know about apple mac's if that charges or not but iPad's do not charge at the same time. Item can be use after charging iPad it full level. Ethernet works just fine and card readers are wonderFul for iPads Also as usb ports. No complains so far besides charging issues.
