However Im disappointed that is overheats. Therefore I will return because I don't want to take the risk that this devise will ruin my information on my USB.

Gets Extremely HOT! NOT SAFE!

I have to unplug it every night because it gets so hot that I almost can't touch it. I am only using the HDMI port for a second monitor. It's not like I'm using every port. It can't be safe. I'm only using it until I get something else. I love all of the features but it is not worth the risk of it ruining the other items I'm plugging into it or starting a fire. I would not recommend this product! IT IS NOT SAFE!

Posted .USB-C hubs, especially those handling HDMI output, naturally generate heat due to power conversion and video processing. Even if only the HDMI port is in use, the internal chipsets are still active to manage the connection.

These days if you want different types of ports on your laptop you will need some type of docking station or adapter. This adapter is great because it does not require any drivers to be installed on your computer.

It was a necessity to purchase this USB Type-C multi adapter (CEFCO brand) because without it, the computer wouldn't work. You need it to be able to install your backup for the computer. I choose silver but it does come in many other colors. There is a nice selection and you don't have to stick to one color. So far it really seems to be working quick well.
