This adapter is a great solution to add ports that were not included on a laptop. There is no driver software that needs to be downloaded to make the adapter work. It only needs to be plugged into a USB-C port that supports display port alternate mode. We appreciate you choosing a j5create product.

Works great but not a fan of the cable

My only complaint (and I knew this when purchased) is that the cable is hard wired and can't be removed. Because of this it doesn't fit in my cable case very well and requires the cable to be bent around like the product photo shows.

may be under-powered

Gets very warm when in use for only an hour. But provides access to the external devices I need it to. Cross check what your device needs but this is great otherwise.

Posted .If the machine the JCD383 is connected to is alerting that it needs a certain amount of power and you are using the OEM connected through the JCD383; you may experience slight loss of power since the charger is going through another adapter before getting to the machine itself. In this case, we recommend using a higher-wattage power adapter since the JCD383 is capable of supporting up to 85-watts. We regret to hear about the experience you had and would value the opportunity to change it. Support information can be found on the casing and an agent will be happy to help.
