This worked well for the first 6 weeks, then today it decided to stop working. Of course I tested the items plugged into the adapter, they work when plugged into other USB ports. Of course it happened outside the return window.

Posted .Computers must support "Power Delivery" for pass-through charge over USB-C. Please make sure a power-brick is 65W or higher. The device supports up to 100W. Posted .The adapter is designed to handle multiple functions, video output, data transfer, and power delivery, all through a single USB-C port. Because of this high level of functionality in a compact design, it's normal for the unit to generate heat during use. The outer aluminum casing is intended to act as a heat sink to dissipate heat more efficiently, which can sometimes make it feel warmer to the touch.

Please note that hotter operating temperatures can be expected when the USB-C pass-through charging and/or all ports on the hub are utilized.

I used this for djing and had to return it because let’s face it parties are outside where it’s already warm, don’t need a disaster to happen mid party.

Only sort of iPad capable

It has a usb c port for you to plug in the charger but it never makes it to the iPad so you can only run it off of battery

Gets very very hot

Posted .Adapters in use that get too hot to where you can cook an egg on it is concerning. Because electricity runs through the JCD383, it is normal for it to become warm. In the case where it is too hot to where it is smoking, or harming you - please don't hesitate to contact support and obtain an exchange.
