Hard to use on latest Macbook pro

The package and directions say this works with OSX Mojave as plug-n-play. For me that was NOT the truth...I had to go to their website download and install the “driver” for this. The process is a bit convoluted. If I wanted to buy stuff that does not work properly. I would have bought a PC! There are other adapters out there. Try them... you will do yourself a favor!

The multi adapter is a PnP and only requires a driver for the Ethernet, but we definitely understand how frustrating the install process can be. Might be defective

I haven't been able to hook to the TV yet via the HDMI port. I've tried several things and don't know what the problem is. It looks as if it may be defective, so I will probably have to return it as of now and get another one. It it works, it's a great product. But this one doesn't appear to be working properly.

Posted .Because the HDMI port on the JCA374 is PnP, it requires that your computer support Thunderbolt 3/DP alt-mode to output a display. Posted .Please visit j5create website, select the "Support" tab > "Downloads/Drivers". From here please locate your j5 model number device, then download and install the driver. Once completed, go ahead and connect a Ethernet cable and the other end to a router or modem. Go to your Network settings and make sure to select AX88179 and connect.

Is NOT 100% comparable with my Samsung Book 12

Not good for monitor

While in use the monitor would constantly blank out, as if blinking, constantly interrupting work flow. I downloaded the driver but this did not fix the problem. I recently bought a hyper drive and do not experience the blinking at all.

I ended up with a Cable Matters alternative that proved more affordable and more reliable. Unfortunately I am outside the return period so I'm stuck with an entire fleet of these bad boys. Not entirely useless, but requires plugging and unplugging and replugging to get ethernet and display to work often times.

Posted .Reset the networking hardware, i.e. power-cycle the modem, router, and/or switch. Power-off your networking hardware for approximately 30 seconds then power it back on. Cross-test the device with another Ethernet cable, or connect the Ethernet cable into another RJ45 port on the networking hardware or Renew the DHCP lease.

Multiple issues

The only way to get it to work again was to unplug the power-in usb-c. It also constantly forgets the resolution of my 2nd monitor.
