Posted .Hmayorga, I'm sorry to hear about having to push hard to get the JCA374 working. If it seems that the JCA374's USB-C male connector is loose/wiggly at all, please reach out to support mentioned on the packaging and seek an exchange as it is deemed to be defective. The hub is covered under a manufacturer's two year warranty and an agent will quickly assist you.

Only supports up to 60w power. Needed more power support and downloading drivers didn’t fix zoom drops. Tried to return but Best Buy has a 15 day return policy… was provided with store credit.

mostly unnecessary gadget for 2018 MacBook Pro

Also the Expensive for the quality of build. Another issue I had was that with a wireless USB mouse/keyboard the mouse and keyboard were not responsive and worked only in close range. For MacBook Pro users it is best to get a few $8 USB 3-USB C adapters for your cables, it will also result in better performance from those USB devices.

Posted .If you are experiencing unresponsive mice, keyboards and they are wireless, we recommend using wired. When a wireless dongle is connected to a USB 3.0 port, radio waves are produced and when this occurs, the waves collide causing the poor performance. Hub Lacks Plug-In

I purchased it to be able to back up one external hard drive to another external hard drive. The product recommended being plugged into an outlet but did not contain the plug-in part of the equipment which would have had to be a separate purchase. I purchased a different product to meet my needs.

I installed the apple drivers as instructed first, then installed and updated the firmware. The power pass through worked a couple times then stopped. The USB worked - sort of - for a day - then stopped. Day 2 - all dead. Returned and bought Apple dongle (which was perfect out of the box).
