It did not transmit enough "juice" to operate an external drive. I kept getting an error message saying I needed to plug it into a power source when it was already plugged in. I took it to my local Best Buy Geek Squad and they tried with the same results. They said it was defective and gave me two single J5 USB adaptors to replace it. They work just fine.

Posted .If you are using a high-powered USB device, attach a USB-C power adapter (60W) to the power delivery port to ensure maximum performance. We recommend connecting HDD to computer for max performance.

When using mouse usb adaptor with it, the mouse disconnects frequently and loses signal causing a jerky experience.

Needed those extra ports for Mac Book

Both units failed within 6 months - would not connect to my monitor. I knew it was the USB Hub because I swapped units, and the monitor and cables worked fine. Total piece of junk. I bought a VAVA unit as a replacement, and so far it’s working great. Stay away!

Posted .Neil, If you are experiencing issues with your mice, keyboard this could be related to leaky waves, which is when wireless device radio waves clash and cause the devices to not work at all. We recommend using wired gadgets instead or Bluetooth. If you would like more information, please contact the support team and a rep will gladly assist anyway we can.

We are currently working on the drivers to make our devices compatible with Big Sur. At this time (12/28/2020) we do not have an ETA on the release date. At this time for a MacBook running Big Sur I would suggest the JCD383:

Does not work well with XPS 13

I only use it for my monitor and power, as the wireless mouse/keyboard combo I had planned to use with it is super laggy when plugged into this hub. The monitor connects inconsistently depending on which USB-C port I use and what order I plug in the hub, power, and HDMI.

I would recommended it if you have all apple or all windows/androids.

Still, I purchased the same one again because it was all they had in stock. And guess what? They didn't support Catalina OS until very recently. But the firmware download will not load in Catalina on my new MacBook. So, again, it's unusable. Such a mess their development group must be!

unstable USB hub not working properly

I have been careful not to move the hub while copying files and still it disappears and stops the transfer.
