    I tried connecting several different things to the USB ports and experienced a lot of lag. I tried connecting a Logitech keyboard and mouse and a Logitech wireless headset. The connection was spotty at best and would fade in and out.

    Ethernet port never worked. Also, 4K monitor would not work through this either. For both, I had to buy the Apple and Belkin adapters for these two items to work. This is basically just a usb multi-port adapter now. I would not recommend this.

      The Ethernet port requires an installation of a driver and the HDMI port requires a computer to support "DisplayPort Alt Mode" over USB-C for video out on PnP ports. Please refer to the manufacturer of your hardware for more information on your device. Thank you. j5create

    Did not work with latest Mac operating system (when I bought it). Had to return it and find another way to connect my monitor to my MacBook. Wasted a lot of time on this.

      Incompatibility with the latest macOS can be troublesome - we're sorry to hear about your troubles. The JCA374 requiring drivers for Ethernet may put a hold on your work. In this case, we recommend exchanging the JCA374 for a JCD383, or JCD384 as the whole adapter is plug-and-play; which means no driver installation is required.     3 Months and Broken

    Used this device for 3 months and it broke, simply does not work. Updated drivers, searched for fix but it just does not work. Best Buy wont return the item now, so its just trash.

      Proper functionality entails downloading and installing a driver on a Windows or Mac platform for the Ethernet port. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply. Drivers are located on j5create website under the Support tab. Thank you. j5create

    I bought this in August 2019. And it stopped working in March 2020. I bought this to use ethernet but as long as this is plugged in, not only ethernet but only wifi is disabled.

    did not work properly. Once I connected the device it took to long to recognized my macbook and set up then my screens kept going blank.

    Surprising how much you pay for this and it's not always effective. Beats me how -- but ther are pieces of equipment this product is not usable on.

    Do not buy this item if you’re gonna use it for Mac OS catalina I returned it and went out and bought some no name brand that Realtek made and it works great

    There are issues with the USB ports and the power- in connector. Loose connections. I have to wiggle the cables to make them work.

    I've owned this for less than two months and when I unplugged a USB, the internal plastic part that accepts the plug pulled out with the cord.

    Don't know if it was an Apple auto update or failure of firmware, but after an hour of Apple Care found out why laptop and monitor weren't working together was this hub.

    I downloaded the software to two Mac products and it would not work with either one. Incompatible with Mac's even though the sales person AND their directions say it is.

    Very difficult to set-up

    Did not like this product. Forced you to download an app. Could not even in connect to any port. I tried ethernet, USB and HDMI. Very difficult.

    Does not work, Couldn’t return it because the date was during my family vacation. But a different brand of Amazon that worked perfectly

    The manufacturer tech support stated the unit is not properly shielded and caused the interfere with the wireless adapter on my MacBook. For this reason, the product is unstable for me.
