The laptop did have a usb-c port so this unit was the perfect addition. It gave me 2 additional usb ports plus a usb-c port & I did not have to use one of the existing regular usb ports to connect. Great for people who actually need it I assume?

It was needed urgently and I paid way too much for something I literally used once. I’m sure there were more uses for it but I’m not that tech savvy. They had cheaper options but of course none could be found in the store.

It works great, I just plugged it in and didn't need to install any drivers. The network port works perfectly, and I use the HDMI port to run a 55" 4k monitor. I am very happy with this product.

Since HDMI and Ethernet connections are amongst the most widely used interfaces, this should be purchased at the same time as your new laptop.

It has not given me any troubles to date. I have used the two usb ports and the HDMI port without fail. I have not tried to the network port as of yet.
