This is perfect in size and weight and provides enough connections for an extra monitor, portable hard drive, wireless mouse. I don't always like using wireless internet and/or some places like in a hotel room, the wireless connection is not very good. Having the Gig Ethernet port provides faster connection speeds. Liked it enough to buy my wife one. I didn't want to share mine. :-)

Must have HUB for Laptop with single USB C port

Great hub for USB-C devices

The laptop came with a hub, but I couldn't get the HDMI out to work with the included hub. It worked just fine with the j5create hub.

Glad to hear that the JCA374 is working well for you. For the HDMI port on the dock to work you need to plug the JCA374 into a USB-C port on your computer that support display port alternate mode. You can check your computer’s specifications to find out if it has this feature.

Many laptops being manufactured do not have a wide array of ports. A hub like this is almost essential if you need if you want to be productive while using a laptop.
