I'm not sure if it was this device or the HDMI cords plugged into it. After a couple of hours with Geeksquad and Apple care, the computer and its two screens are working again.

HDMI Audio Issues

This adapter's HDMI audio output does not perform well. Sometimes the HDMI output audio works good for a while and then the audio randomly cuts in and out. Bought a second JCA374 and still the same issue. My Chromebook is fully updated. Also tried this on two different brand TV's and this audio issue is present regardless of which TV. The HDMI video output, however, works fine.
