Great buy and it sounds good with my home theater system. The Klipse woofer that came with the system blew up after 5 years. This sounds great for my small room. The only issue I have with this unit is that it hums when I turn off the system until it turns off.

It has a nice clean thump. It makes no difference if you play old school, jazz fusion, jimi, or just hard core funk. Low distortion, no rattling or harsh tones. Only dislike is it has one rca input jack and you have to buy the y plug extra.

Using this sub with in-ceiling speakers in game room. This works fine for music and TV. There are better options with higher price tags for the serious media room (we have one), but to supplement smaller speakers in a home bar or game room this is a good value.

I am glad to have JBL back in the home theatre business. I have had the Northridge Series speakers since 2001, but a lighting strike blew my powered subwoofer that wasn't plugged into a power strip. I got this when I upgraded my HDTV to a 4K. This speaker has nice low tones and is super loud. It looks great too!

Old subwoofer quit, so picked this up at Best Buy store when buying my new TV. Just wanted the least expensive model that was a slight upgrade from my old one. Very pleased with the sound quality, much better than the old. Deeper, stronger and more range. Not louder, just fuller than the old one. Guessing it's the larger size. Also, once I got the volume set, I haven't had to adjust for either music or movies. With old one, was constantly readjusting. Lastly, Best Buy associate was helpful. I was also buying a TV, mentioned I needed a subwoofer, he found this one, gave me the specs, and that was that.

Excellent craftsmanship and sound quality as expected from JBL. In the product description, Best Buy mentions "thunderous bass", well, they were telling the truth. I turn up the volume only three quarters of the way and I was surprised at the thump that this subwoofer provides. I would recommend!

I needed a subwoofer and found this model on the Best Buy web site. I am familiar with the JBL brand and the sale price made it seem like a good value. The subwoofer is now connected and performs as it should.

This sub is absolutely perfect for the low-mid range surround sound system. My prior Polk Audio threw a voice cool quickly and didn't push half of the air this thing does.

We purchased years ago a subwoofer from Best Buy and adding another one made a big difference in sound. Excellent sound especially when an action movie is playing.

Speaker arrived in damaged box. Damage to the speaker appears to be limited to cosmetic damage on the front grill. I hooked the speaker to a new Sony 5.1 receiver. The base volume set with the automatic speaker sound leveling was a little too loud. I found the volume control on the speaker to be very touchy. It is difficult to set to get proper level without overwhelming the low frequency volume.

The sub-woofer is out this all don't even have it turned all the way up we only have it half way up. Great with action movies or gaming.

Being familure with watts I really feel it is overated. I was for sure expecting more from a 200 watt sub. I guess it is true that you get what you pay for. I will for sure go with a differant brand next time and probably a differant supplier. I called Best Buy and could tell the person I spoke with knew nothing about the product and simply wanted me off the phone.

I added the JBL - Arena S10 10 200W Powered Subwoofer to my current system. The bass feels incredible.
