A: The ARENA S10 10 is a self contained unit, the receiver that it gets connected to doesn't see any impedance rating as it connects with a line level. The speaker is 4 ohms, and the amp is running at 4 ohms.
Q: can i use a aux cable instead of rca to 3.5 mm
A: NO, it has to be a subwoofer cable, RCA to RCA connector. This connection should be getting its feed from an audio receiver with dedicated subwoofer output.
A: After looking at the back of the v479 I see that it has an rca sub output, you just need the sub cable to hook it up, the jbl s10 does not come with the rca cable to connect it to the receiver...

A: No, the ARENA S10 has an RMS wattage rating of 100 watts. The general rule when selecting a sub is to make sure it has at least twice the per channel wattage rating of the receiver. Your receiver can put out up to 145watt per channel , please consider getting the SUB 250P instead as it has a power rating of 300Watts. This will be a good compliment to your existing system.
