After looking at the back of the v479 I see that it has an rca sub output, you just need the sub cable to hook it up, the jbl s10 does not come with the rca cable to connect it to the receiver...

Please try again later.If your receiver has a sub out rca connection it will work, the jbl only has 1 rca sub in connection, no line level or digital in like on high end subs, this is a basic sub, have two of them for home theater system.....bass is good for a budget sub...
