The subwoofer produces clear and clean bass regardless of whether the volume is high or low. This is definitely a quality speaker.

What can I say I like the bass this sub produces, nice thumping bass with no distortion. JBL has done it again.

I bought 2 of these a month ago. I was just looking for something cheap to put i my girlfriends car, because she always uses my vehicle for the stereo. Well the joke is on me because these JBL's are giving my Alpine type S 12 inch subs that cost 200$ a piece a run for there money. WOW GREAT SOUND AND HIT HARD

Have only used since middle of February 2015 and was very happy w/ the little booming box for Ipad until it just "stopped" taking a charge. Tried different outlets, cleaned the plug and still nothing. That's a very short shelf life. Plan to return it.

These subs greatly improved the sound in my car. Very clear and loud. Also very affordable.

Price is Right, used it to make a home theater subwoofer... Definitely packs a punch.

I wanted to replace a 12" driver in my home powered subwoofer. The original wasn't up to par anymore. The JBL CX1200 looked near perfect for sealed box duty judging by the specs. As it turns out, CX1200 is quite better than the original. By the way, unlike ported boxes, sealed boxes are not very "fussy" about driver to box matching. The subwoofer is working great. I also decided to buy 2 more to replace the woofers in a pair of large rather high quality 12" 3 way speaker systems (sealed boxes also, not ported). Evidently the system uses a 4 ohm woofers. That also worked great. Note: these woofers do not use binding posts. Instead, JBL uses the normal slide on clips - which made the job easier in my case. Great job JBL.

I purchased these on sale and honestly they are amazing! The original price is a lot but the quality does pay off! I loved how they sound. I have an old version of these and they have lasted a long time. Maybe 10 years, so I know these will be good. And obviously don't max out the bass, you just want to have a nice even bass to the point YOU CAN STILL LISTEN TO THE LYRICS :)

Having these small but powerful speakers will add enjoyment to long car rides. Hoping it won’t be a big distraction from the driving.

there is a reason jbl continues to be leader in home and car audio. their stuff is always high quality, and this speaker is no different.

I purchased two of these speakers because of the JBL reputation and they were on sale. I was not disappointed they performed perfectly.
