Great buds for the active individual

    Pros mentioned:
Battery life, Ease of use, Listening to music
    Cons mentioned:
    Use for phone calls

So this is my first pair of truly wireless earbuds. I never invested in a pair because most of them didn’t have the hook around the ear, earbuds never fit right in my ears, so I tend to stay away from them. But when I saw these, with the around-ear hook, I jumped right on them. The setup is simple, the carrying case is the charge station, so just hook it up with the included USB, wait for the four lights to be a solid white, and then put the earbuds in, and let them charge. The red lights go out, meaning they are fully charged and ready to go. Pairing is easy, for the initial pairing, the ear buds will automatically power on when you put them on, it uses JBL’s power hook system, meaning when you open the ear hook, it turns the master (right bud) ear bud on, and then signals the second earbud (left) to activate as well. Once paired, the master bud is touch sensitive, swipe up to increase volume, swipe down to decrease, tap to pause, double tap to skip a song, triple tap to go back on a song. Tap hold to begin paring to another device. Sound quality is good for the size, adequate base, and generally blocks most ambient noise if the earbuds sit right. These are NOT noise cancelling, so these and airplanes work okay. In conjunction with my phone’s EQ settings these are decent. The pros: Light weight, easy to travel with, comes with carrying case that doubles as a portable battery for them. Sound quality is good for working out, swimming (yes these are waterproof, just don’t put them right back in the case, dry them off first) or for using them at the office. The cons: My biggest complaint, is that when receiving phone calls, it goes from stereo to mono, I only hear the person on the master bud, while the secondary just sits there doing nothing, and there’s no way to change it from what I’ve researched. My second irk is that I can’t tap-hold to summon siri like I can on my other headphones, I have to use my phone to call her up. If the cons don’t bother you, and you don’t plan on using it for phone calls a lot (I use them at work a lot, having to make calls for my job) then these buds are good.

I only have 2 problems with these. #1 they shut off after about 10 minutes so it's not good for all day wear. The standby time isn't good if you use these for phone calls. Because if you receive a call or pause your music, after 10 minutes you have to take them off and turn them on every time. #2 the left is completely dependent on the right being on. So if I'm only use the right, say at work. When it dies I can't just put the fully charged left in and use it . That a big one for me

I usually don't write reviews, but I have reached my limit with these. I've been through two pairs of these now. Both sets the charging case will no longer charge the right earpiece. Since the case is the only way to charge these, I now just have a useless earpiece. I was able to return the first pair easily enough through their customer service and get a new pair (about a week after I sent in the old pair), but then the new pair only lasted a couple of months before the charger stopped working again. This is with very light use, probably 1x or 2x per week. Uploaded pictures of the dead headphones in the charged case, with no charging indicator on the earpieces as a bit of further evidence. My $20 pair of crap wireless headphones have been a better, more reliable purchase than this garbage.

Great product with a few minor quibbles

    Posted .
    Pros mentioned:
    Battery life, Sound quality
    Cons mentioned:
    Volume

As an avid music and Podcast listener, I was looking for something a little more gym friendly. Normally I wear over the ear headphones, but those are more difficult to tote around, so compact headphones were next on the list. To start, I have used JBL products for years and have everything from their excellent professional studio monitors, to home stereo speakers, to bluetooth wireless speakers. Let’s get the minor quibbles out of the way first. While the sound quality is really nice, I wouldn’t say it is for everyone. These seem more flat response than many consumers will like. They will give you the music at is meant to be heard. If you are looking for bass, get over the ear headphones, as these are small and are obviously not designed to thump due to the driver size. That said, I do think the sound is clean and un-distorted which is all you can ask for from this type of headphone. Comfort is an issue. They are semi difficult to put on, but once you do it a few times it gets easier. After having them on for a while, my ears definitely start to feel uncomfortable. They do come with three sizes so you can figure out which is best for you. I am using the smallest size, but they still start to hurt after a while. This is why I normally wear over the ear cans. If you are used to earbud style headphones it shouldn’t be an issue. I guess I’m just too sensitive. If you wear glasses, these also may not be a good choice because of the loop that goes over the top of your ear. The good! The hardshell charging case and how it works is awesome. You simply put the headphones into the case (each has its own fitted slot) and charge both the headphones and case by plugging the case into any USB. Really cool design. Then if that wasn’t cool enough, the case actually has its own battery and charges the headphones remotely anywhere. This is an excellent design and should keep you in business for a LONG time. Kudos JBL! The case is a hard shell case and measures only 3.25L x 2W x 1.25D, so it will easily fit into most pockets, purses, etc. It is actually so compact that you may even lose it so be careful. It also has four tiny charge lights on the front so you can always see when you need a charge. Battery life is excellent as well. If you keep the headphones in the case when not in use and you are a casual listener, you will rarely need to charge. Another great feature is that these turn on and off automatically when you put them on and take them off. I have had zero issues with pairing and every time I put them on, they turn right on and sync to my phone perfectly. Take them off and stow in the case and they turn right off and start charging. Brilliant! Build quality is on point and typical JBL. These are even IPX7 waterproof rated, so running in the rain, or sweating while working out shouldn’t be any problem. Just not sure you want to jump into a pool, or the ocean with them on. The touch sensors are on the right side and work great. You get pause, skip track, and volume with different swipes and taps. This works for phone calls as well. You can even use the right one on its own if you are making calls in the car, etc. To sum it all up… I had a hard time trying to decide between 3 and 4 stars, but I ended up going with 4 because my cons are mostly personal and I actually prefer more of a true flat response sound to my music as opposed to colored like most consumer products. If you are used to this type of headphone and you like your music to sound like it really does, you will be happy with these. PROS: Flat response sound quality (great for how it should really sound, not for bass-heads) Excellent build quality IPX7 waterproof The charging case is awesome Easy USB charging Pairs with my Android easily Touch controls Battery life CONS: Flat response sound quality (this may not be for everyone) Comfort isn’t quite there with in-ear headphones (could be me) Not for people with glasses

I have given these an honest effort after about 5 months of ownership and just about ready to move on to another option. The design & concept is good in theory however there are many engineering flaws with the product: 1) The charging case requires you to carefully manipulate the earbuds due to their spring loaded over ear design to ensure the metal contacts are touching the right points. If the contacts are not completely clean or sitting just right and confirmed BOTH lights are on you will be surprised to find out they did not charge. It also requires you to gingerly set them on a flat surface as to avoid disrupting this delicate connection. Case and point in the review photo (one light on and one connection to charging contacts lost after closing lid) 2) The audio quality when on a phone call is very much unusable unless the room or environment is completely quiet and phone call audio only comes from the right ear. 3) The left ear bud cannot be used independently of the right. 4) The battery in the left ear bud appears to be of smaller capacity vs. the right ear perhaps by design due to audio only being usable on the right ear. Therefore, be prepared for listening experiences to only be right ear if the left dies first. 5) When on a call if you change the output from the JBL to the speakerphone or earpiece despite taking this as a first step the call hangs up on whomever you are speaking with after they cannot hear you due to the poor sound quality. 6) On a bright note the sound quality when they are charged and work is great! Overall, the product is far to high maintenance requiring so much diligence on the part of the user it makes the entire experience unenjoyable. In today's era of technology there is simply no excuse for this type of poor performance by design. We have several other JBL products and this by far the worst and a lack of complete engineering & validation on the part of JBL. Do better. I will be searching for better options immediately.

I actually really enjoy these headphones I can do more with the hands free headphones one click , two clicks, three clicks. For mucis or hands free calling it is soo convenient and really easy to learn how to operate. Plus it's WATER PROOF!! I have gotten them mildly wet and they are perfectly fine although I do not recommend you shower with them even if advertised that its water proof I am personally not finding out to what extent. Very happy with the portable charger when on the go. Overall Very happy with my purchase.

Bought these as a Birthday gift for myself and they are horrible. Out of the box left ear piece had no sound, seems to be a common problem. Trying to follow advice found online about resetting them but can’t tell if it works or not because recharging them is a nightmare because charging box is functioning very erratically and have to constantly readjust buds as it’s constantly cutting off, like every few seconds. An absolutely horrible product from my perspective, please save yourself the frustration and buy anything else but these wretched ear buds.

I purchased these about 8 days ago. Needed wireless headset that would stay put when worn. They looked pretty good, a little pricey but ok. Popped them I. As soon as I got I the car. They came right on, I was able to pair really easily. I was loving them. Charging case looked great and it seemed like a simple enough process, connect tiny cable, plug in, seat earbud in the pocket. Next morning it was not charged, I figured I did something wrong. So started over, very carefully put earbud back into seat, waited a couple hours, checked if I gained any juice and no luck. I decided to take them back after work, figured maybe they were defective. At work I thought let’s try one more time, plugged in case, seated earbud, forgot they were charging. Checked a few hours later...tadaaaa! Fully charged. So far since that day, I may have been able to fully charge one more time, they sit in the case over night and I wake to 10%. I am so disappointed. I am returning. They sound good, they look good. I was able to even connect to my fire stick to watch tv. But what good is a earbud that doesn’t charge. You can use the main one (right) by itself. You can not use the left one alone. It constantly beeps in your ear - I still haven’t figured out why, it seems like it turns off for second but then I can hear whatever I am listening to at the time. I will be returning to see if I can get another type or brand. Funny thing is as I write this review, they appear to be charging (see picture)-go figure.

This is my 7th set/5th model of true wireless earbuds and these fit the best for me. The only thing that I can't give praise for is the mono calls and the inconsistent connection. I don't know if I can blame it on my headset bc I am using beta Android 11 so it may be the problem or it could just be the phone in general. The sound is great. I used them for a 2hr walk and other than the cutting in and out at the beginning of my walk (which could've been due to a variety of things) the sound was good and it was comfortable. It didn't hurt any part of my ear unlike other models. I think that if I wore them for 3hrs, the back of my ear might have had a problem but I think that is something I would get used to. I will say that I got this on sale for $59.99 (50% off) which is much cheaper than the pair that I returned on warranty that costed $149.99 (good model) which does weigh in on my rating but even at full price, I think it's a good model. If I had to pay more, I'd want stereo phone calls and ambient noise option.

    Great wireless headphones!

    Pros mentioned:
Battery life, Ease of use, Sound quality
    Cons mentioned:
    Use for phone calls, Volume

The JBL Endurance Peak wireless headphones are some of the best wireless headphones I’ve tried thus far. The headphones come packed with some pretty impressive new tech, which really makes them stand out from other headphones. Starting with the headphones themself, they don’t have the traditional power button. Instead, you power them on by lifting the ear loop away from the earpiece. This makes for turning them off and on very easy. To pair the headphones to any bluetooth enabled device, is very simple too. No addition app or software is required. The charging case is very nice as well. There are 4 white LED light on the front of the box, which indicates how full the charging battery has left. They charge very fast too! 10 mins of charge time, gives you one hour of battery life. The battery life on the headphone, do last for a good amount of time, which is very convenient. The headphones come packaged with 3 different sizes of ear tips for comfort. When I first tried them on, I was a little skeptical about them, but after a few adjustments, they fit very comfortably. The JBL’s have a feature called twistlock, which makes them easy to fit in your ear for a secure and comfortable fit. I never had to worry about them falling out of my ears at all. The right ear, is the master earbud. This is the one that has the controls on it. No buttons, just touch controls, which work flawlessly. Last but not least, is the sound quality...These really pack some impressive sound for earbuds. The clarity is really nice, as well as really good bass. So, they sound like premium headphones in my opinion. My only complaint is, when making a call with the earbuds, you only get volume out of one ear (the master ear). This isn’t a deal breaker for me, as I use them primarily for music purposes only. Overall, these are one of the best options for wireless headphones on the market right now. With a long battery life, great durability, and amazing sound - the JBL Endurance Peak’s are a great choice. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a new pair of wireless headphones.

I love jbl, great products and I had the reflect minis before this that I managed to wash 2x somehow and they still worked as good as new but they gave out after a 3 years. I loved them These are okay, id give them 4 stars but they dont charge. I put them in their box and the red light indicates they're charging but when I'm at the the gym it says they're at 20%. I take like 5 minutes ensuring they're charging and even then one will be less charged than the other I bought these because they were in my best buy offers but I wouldve gone with another set of reflect minis if I had paid full price I love jbl, but I think mine might be defected

Only reason I gave it 3 is because the left headphone hates to be charged! For some reason its hard as hell to get it to sit correctly on the charger! When they are charged, they are great, comfy, and last a long time. But I am over that fact that 80 % of the time I cant charge or use the left headphone. Luckely the right one works without the left one on but it doenst work the other way around.

great overall, but you can’t use a single earphone. if the other one isn’t on your ear, the set turns off. You see how the plastic that goes behind the ear curbs in? if it touches the base (meaning your ear isn’t on the way) they’ll turn off. Even if you have the other one on. I fixed it by hanging one from my pocket rather than the case and keeping active, but its dumb to know music is playing on it too.

Overall I like my new JBL Endurance Peak True Wireless In-Ear Headphones more than any others I’ve had before. I’m terribly picky about sound quality, and these get a standing ovation from me. They are loud, and they rock. The fit is far better than the competitors- they don’t come out unless I am removing them. They are comfortable. BUT.. the placement of the control buttons is awful. They are hard to manipulate when you try to use them and nearly impossible not to accidentally hit when you are slightly active. It does drive me crazy. I recommend trying some out before buying.

I got these ear buds to use while running and biking. They are easy to use and last quite a bit before needing charged. I particularly like that they do not fall loose and I do not have to worry about one falling off while biking on more rugged trails. Sound quality is plenty good for ear buds designed to be used for active sports. The last time I used them until they died, they lasted around 4 hours. The touch functions on the right side are easy to use and not difficult to learn. I like that the ear bud is really receptive and I do not struggle adjusting the volume or pausing/next song.

Most Comfortable BT Headphones I've Used

    Posted .

Context: I am not an audiophile and use my headphones in 2 settings- at work to block out the cube farm noises and when running by myself for an hour or more. At work (& any setting tried thus far) the JBL Endurance Peak headphones are absolutely the most comfortable I've ever tried. Others I've tried start out OK, but begin to annoy me after 45-60 minutes+/-. The sound is not as rich as others I've tried, and if you're priority is lots of heavy bass there may be better options. Again, in all settings, I truly enjoy the wireless aspect- having a cord of any sort hit my neck and/or get caught on something is a true downer! For running/working out: the aforementioned comfort and lack of wire are appreciated. Of much greater importance in this setting- they don't wiggle, feel loose, or distract me with constant thoughts of "I'm about to lose $120 headphones" or, worse yet, put a marathon PR in jeopardy because I have to stop and pick up my headphones. I've been dubious of this retention aspect of true wireless headphones, but the JBL Endurance Peak headphones have shown it can work.
