Customers are pleased with the Everest 700 Wireless Over-the-Ear Headphones' excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and impressive battery life. Many appreciate the reliable Bluetooth connectivity and strong bass response, while some users noted that the volume could be improved and that button placement is not ideal for all users. The lack of a carrying case was also mentioned as a drawback by a few customers. Overall, the positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs the reported minor issues.

I had had trouble with my previous (most popular) headphones because they kept cracking at the weak point in the headband. I went into Best Buy and the fellow there gave me good pointers on all the headphones. I selected the JBL Everest 700 headphones because they were sturdier and better-made than the so-called 'best' headphones on the market. I use my headphones all day long. I have had them for 6 months now and they have never given me any problems. I love that the battery seems to last forever! I had them going for 2 days straight without running out of juice. They are supper comfortable, cover the whole ear nicely, and DON'T squeeze too tight so they are headache FREE! But they also stay put when I need to be actively doing my work (lots of bending down and reaching). The sound is great even when the volume is low. And the sound remains great even when loud, without distortion or buzzing. I love these headphones!!

I purchased the JBL Everest 700 headphones in Gray as my first wireless over-the-ear set on Black Friday, and I could not be happier!
Let me start by saying that I did not know anything about the JBL brand until I found these on the shelf at Best Buy. At first, I was skeptical because I had never heard much about the brand from actual consumers. Names like Beats and Bose were king when talking about audio gear, and headphones in particular. But JBL is simply the consumer headphone naming convention for Harman, a much more recognized and respected audio brand!
And boy do they live up to that name! Sounds produced are accurate, rich, deep, vibrant...never tinny. A full range is represented well in the highest of frequencies down to the lowest of bass. I would highly recommend heading into a Best Buy store and trying them out for yourself. Hearing is believing! The demo setup will even let you play music from your own device to be 100% sure the audio reproduction of what matters most to you is provided in this set.
Beyond the excellent sound quality, this pair of headphones is rated at an incredible 40 hours of wireless playback on a single charge. I listened to an average of 3 hours of music a day for 2.5 weeks and the battery never came close to being depleted (there is a battery status icon on screen when you pair with an iPhone or iPad). Recharging is fast and easy with the included micro-USB to USB cable.
Pairing is simple out of the box with the touch of a button after being powered on. The wireless connection seems to be strong and stable, as I have only once found myself have to reset the connection to eliminate crackling and static after I wandered a bit too far away from the audio source. Range is good. It seems to break out around 45 feet away, or about half that through two standard Sheetrock walks. In my three bedroom apartment, I have no problems keeping the connection while roaming with the source stationed in any one of the rooms.
Build quality is good. They definitely seem durable, but are made almost entirely of plastic (with the exception of the metal bands above the earpieces that say "Everest" and "700". This means they can be a bit squeaky when putting them on and taking them off. They have a nice weight to them, adjust sizes easily, and are foldable.
As far as comfort goes, they could not be better. The ear cups are wrapped in soft and pliable memory foam inside and out, and are covered with a buttery smooth (faux) leather. After wearing these non-stop on a seven hour flight, I was able to take them off without any signs of fatigue or stress to my ears, neck, or head.
If I had to criticize anything about these headphones, it would be the lack of a carrying case and the ability to find a third party case that fits. I have been forced to carry them naked, which is not the end of the world since they do seem very durable. It would have been a nice addition though. And finally, there is a button in between the volume rockers on the left earpiece that if activated will put it into sharing mode, which at this point in time seems to require you to turn the headphones on and off to dismiss...which can be a minor annoyance.
All in all, super happy with my purchase! I just wish I would have opted for the black. It's so much sexier!

Received these headphones for Christmas. Have been using them with my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 since. I also paired them briefly with my Surface Pro 3.
They work wonderfully with the Apple products. The pairing with the Surface Pro wasn't as smooth. It paired and I got sound, but it kept dropping the pairing (headphones would eventually turn off because they didn't think they were paired). I would imagine that has more to do with Windows 8 then the headphones.
The sound is very good. The headphones are very comfortable. While I wish they had active noise cancelling the fit of the headphones does a very good job of blocking ambient noise.
The only real complaint I have is the button placement. If you lean your head back against a high back chair you will very likely hit one of the buttons against the chair. Also, it has a feature that allows you to share the Bluetooth connection with another Bluetooth device which is a great concept (haven't tried it yet), but I keep accidentally pushing that share button just taking the headphones off or leaning back against a head rest. That can get annoying as it goes into the share mode and looks for another connection. The only way I've found to cancel that quickly is to turn headphones off and then back on.

I had a pair of Bose wireless headphones (AE2W v1) that I liked mostly, but never thought that they were comfortable enough. I sort of used them, but let them go a while ago and moved to a set of earbuds instead. Just recently, I realized that I didn't have to carry headphones back and forth to work any longer (I started to work from home), so I thought that I'd invest in some over-ear kind again. These JBLs have worked out extremely well. They fit great, block a ton of sound, and have good sonic reproduction. I'm not exactly an audiophile, but I can tell cheap headphones from expensive ones. These JBLs sound (to me) pretty much as well as the Bose headphones did, with the notable exception that they cost about $100 less. Further, I feel that the build quality of the JBLs is higher. That is, the JBLs feel more solid on my head than the Bose did.
I'm really quite happy with these headphones. My only gripe is that when using the headphones as a cell phone headset, my voice is pretty low, since the eadpads block so much noise. That's a pretty small price for the rest of how much I enjoy these headphones. I would definitely recommend them.

I love my new headphones! Super comfy fit, excellent sound quality. I wasn't familiar with the brand name, but the price seemed reasonable and they looked OK. They're more than OK. They hold a charge for a long time (many days with limited use) and are easy to use. I highly recommend them.

First off let me just say that I bought these when they were on sale for $150. I believe they were regularly $200, but even for that price these are really great headphones. I had three things I wanted in my headphones: bluetooth capable, affordable, and a microphone in the headset (not on a cord). This set had all three at the lowest price I could find and for good quality to boot. They have held up great for the last month and has a battery that seems to never die (not to mention it charges super quick). I literally use them everyday for hours (very comfortable ear cups) and they have been everything I expected and then some. If you can get them on sale even better!

Fatal Flaw and Misleading Packaging

Let me preface the below review by saying I'm a huge JBL fan and typically love their products. That's why it's so frustrating that I can't possibly enjoy or recommend the Everest 700 line as it exists currently.
I bought the gray-colored Everest 700s after returning the 300s because the 300s were uncomfortable to wear for more than 30-40 minutes. Now, I'll sadly be returning these as well because of severe audio delay issues. On every device I've tried (iPad Air 2, iPhone 6, MacBook Air) the audio is anywhere between 1-3 seconds behind the video, making it annoying and almost impossible to watch. The audio sounds great for listening to music, but the delay when watching video is a total deal-breaker. I've tried all the trouble shooting steps I could possibly think of or find online to fix the audio delay issue to no avail. I also tried calling JBL support several times during their posted customer service hours, but only received a recorded message stating they were unavailable.
Another very strange thing worth mentioning is that the gray color Everest 700s look almost nothing like the image on the website and box (see my images attached) being all around much lighter especially on the ear cups. They don't look bad per se, just totally different and not nearly as sleek as the packaging and images online depict.
For $200 headphones with the JBL moniker attached, I expected a flawless experience. This is far from the case. I'm extremely disappointed that these have such a fatal flaw, and I'll be returning them within 24 hours to turn my attention towards a product that functions properly, perhaps not JBL I'm sad to say.

These headphones are definitely worth it, as they are extremely comfortable and have great sound. They also have a really great look and the wireless part works almost perfect, since YouTube videos' audio will be out of sync.

The headphones are great!! I used them for the first 4 weeks without having to charge them at all... I didn't use them all the time but the battery life is probably 10 times longer than my powerbeats wireless (although that really isn't a valid comparison). These headphones have a great sound and cancel noise very well! The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because the didn't fit snug on my head. My head is quite small. This allows for comfortability though!! I can wear these headphones for hours with little to no hurt at all. Great for gaming but only with the cord. Although the cord is a 2.5mm output cord to 3.5mm input cord. The cord itself has a mic as well so the only time you use the mic on the headphones is when using bluetooth. There is a slight delay when watching videos but I have never not experienced this with bluetooth... overall my favorite pair of headphones yet!

This is a decent product. I use these at work because they are pretty durable and were cheap from cyber Monday sales. The headphones sounds pretty ok. Not super high qual, but they're better than beats everyday of the week (in the same category). I'm pretty rough with my gear, like I throw them around, they fall off my work bench, toss them into my bag full of stuff and so far they've held up nicely. And they have a really cool feature to pair with a mother set of Bluetooth headphones. I've used this feature with my gf on a flight to SF to watch a movie and listen to some songs. I wasn't the biggest fan of the inflight movie so we watch one of our own together via my headphones pairing with her's. Overall a great product for $99 and not for any other price. Wait for the sales or else just save money and get a pair of Bose Bluetooth headphones.

I recently purchased these headphones to replace a pair of wired headphones. I was skeptical at first to purchase a pair of wireless headphones... my only regret is that I did not purchase them sooner. Not having a wire on while at work is a great luxury, I am not confined to my desk and tethered to my phone or tablet. These headphones pair easily with any device I have tried so far. These headphones sounds great as well. The volume and navigation features located on the back of the ear pieces that sync with the device are a nice touch as well. I don't have to press pause on my phone whenever I have an interruption. It is a little tricky at first to avoid hitting the buttons when adjusting or removing the headphones, but not a deal breaker. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a discount at the checkout counter when I paid for these headphones. They were marked down and and clearance price adjusted as well. The compact folding design helps when traveling with the headphones and they are comfortable to wear as well. They do not get tight or uncomfortable after long periods of use. I know there are other brands and headphones out there but these were priced right.

These are the best sound quality I've heard from wireless headphones. Tried the Bose and Beats and didn't like either as much as these. And these were less expensive than both. Only thing I would point out is that they stick out pretty far from my head on my ears. But I don't mind because they are very comfortable.

So I have had these headphones for about a month now. They are indeed the loudest over the ear headphones I have tried yet. Have not even gotten down to the low battery yet, claims 25 hours or so, pretty confident it is close to it. The button set up could be better. Too easy to try and sink with anyone jbl products. Also, the Bluetooth with anything besides music is actually really poor. Synced with my tablet to play games and watch Netflix, and there is a good delay for over a second. So these are good for just listening to music yet if you are going to use them for the, talking or tablets, I'd say find something else.

My sole reasons in getting these was to be able to listen to music and webexs at home, school, and work while blocking out background noise. I am not a gamer or sound aficionado. I got them on sale & used Best Buy Rewards as I would not pay $200 for head phones. These are awesome for my purposes. Comfortable for long wearing times, hold a charge, sounds great to my amateur ears. The ONLY reasons I gave a 4 is because I wish they came with a case and that the controls were on the front as if you lean your head back on anything it powers off. That's annoying.

I absolutely love these headphones. They're compact, and they stay charged for a long period of time. They sounds great, and are fairly noise resistant. Very comfortable.
My few complaints include the fact that there aren't any real instructions in the box or online on how to have the headset re-connect to a new device, or how to get the headphones to enter into 'pairing' mode. I'm also a little disappointed on the overall look. Obviously, I knew this going in to the purchase. They could look a little more modern.

Sound is decent for wireless headphone- similar to many wireless headphones these days, a little mid bass and bass heavy for some kinds of music. Using for phone is not the best quality- people on the other end say they can't hear me. But the worse part about these headphones is where the buttons are located. Every time I go to take them off, I end up turning them off. Volume, power, etc are where you grab to adjust or remove these cans. Overall decent phones for the price, but not perfect.

I consider myself an audio snob... so looking for wireless headphones was a difficult process. I bought these for my iPhone 7 and haven't been disappointed. Comfortable high-fidelity and long range. The battery life is surprisingly good for the volume output of these headphones. Overall, if you are looking for something and can't afford the high price tag for Bose, get these. I prefer these over the 700 elite, due to comfort.
