Good sound. Long battery. Bad noise cancelling

Pro: -Sounds good -Charging case has wireless and USB charging -App lets you customize functions and EQ -Battery life -Can be used individually -Auto pause sensors Con: -Noise Cancelling made no difference -Be Aware mode has a loud hiss -No button to turn it off. Must have case or turn off Bluetooth -Sensors keeps pausing music from head movement Sound The sound is quite good. By default is balanced and has a good amount of bass. It can be further adjusted to your liking by adjusting the EQ with the app. At max volume, which can get loud, the sound clarity suffers a bit. WIth the right size tip, a lot of the surrounding noises are blocked, which helps with the otherwise non-existent noise cancelling. Noise Cancelling/”Be Aware” The noise cancelling, unfortunately, practically does nothing. Even the lowest humming sounds are not blocked. Really the only form of noise blocking comes from the tight seal from the silicone tips. Be Aware mode increases the level of outside noise that can be heard. It does work so I can hear background noise better but it also has a hiss. The hiss can be loud enough that it pretty much negates the enhanced hearing. Function Each earbud has a touch button that can be customized, and most of the time it works fine but sometimes it will either be accidentally activated or not register a touch. Each side can be used individually, which is something most earbuds can’t do. These have auto sensors that will play/pause whenever one earbud is away from the ear. For me, it kept pausing whenever I tilt my head too far, so I ended up just turning them off in the app. However, the most annoying thing for me was that there’s no way to turn them off unless you either put them back in the charging case, or turn off bluetooth on your phone and wait a few minutes. I don’t always have the case with me and it’s annoying to have to disable my bluetooth each time I want to turn them off. I don’t know why there’s no way to set it so I can just press and hold the button for a few seconds to turn it off. Charge and Battery Life The Epic Air comes with a charging case that not only has a short USB tucked in, but can also be charged wirelessly. The case is a bit bulky but considering the versatile charging, it’s acceptable. The USB wire is a bit short at only a few inches so you’ll likely be using a laptop or battery pack with it. The battery life is really good. It boasts 12+ hours per charge, and I was able to get about 8-9 hours with noise cancelling on. The case can provide another 3 charges giving a total of 72 hours. App The app lets you adjust the noise cancelation and Be Aware amount. It also allows adjustment of up to three EQ settings. The best part is that you can customize the touch functions, since I didn’t like the default ones. I also was able to turn off the auto sensors since it kept pausing randomly as I moved. There’s an issue with the auto sensor resetting every time the app is closed or the earbuds are disconnected. I have to restart the app and toggle the sensor on and off to make it work. Worth it? Overall for the price and features you get makes these worth it. The battery life alone is better than most but the charging case puts them above many others. The sound is good and can be further adjusted more to your liking. Too bad the noise cancelling does pretty much nothing and there’s some quirk with the buttons and the app. If noise cancelling is what you need, these are not it.

I get a lot of unhappy feedback from people I am on the phone with while using these. It makes me unsure to use them when I need to use them most. The battery isn't bad depending on how long you are using them. Unfortunately this item stopped charging after the return period with Best Buy. I'm reaching out to jlab directly with this issue. I wish we would have spent a little more money and bought Samsung.

I never thought I'd be one of those "ear bud guys" but JLab Epic Airs changed my mind. Now I can't stop using them and as a bonus benefit I have been taking more walks and getting more exercise! These are the most comfortable earphones I have ever used and the collection of different earpieces that come with it ensure that ANYONE can get a comfortable fit. This is a huge plus because I can use the standard pieces when I am walking or the super soft ones that fit tighter when I am being more active. The array of choices is remarkable and more than I've seen in competitors options. The automatic noise cancelling really works great. I used to use disposable foam ear protectors when I would do the lawn or use my blower, but now I put in my JLab Epics and enjoy my chores a lot more. Whether it's music, podcasts or audiobooks the sound is great and I can hear everything without having to blast the volume - and potentially damage my hearing! I should mention that there are safety settings that allow for some noise cancelling while still allowing you to be aware of your surroundings, which is important to me when I ride my bike. The JLab ANC App works great and allows for fine control of the buds, but as far as the Android Play Store goes, it was impossible to find in searches. The only way I could get to the app was from a link on JLab's site so I'm going to link it here - https://www.jlabaudio.com/blogs/news/jlab-air-anc-app. Not sure if it's as hard to find for Apple users and not sure why it's not indexed; maybe it's too new? Setting them up for my phone and tablet was super easy and I even have them paired to my computer, which has come in handy for remote meetings. They charge pretty darn quickly and I've yet to run out of juice on any of my walks or chores. Nice charging case too; well designed with attached USB cable stub. All in all, I'm impressed and would recommend them highly. Try them and you might become an 'ear bud guy' too.

Great battery life, controls, sound, & light!

The JLabs Epic Air ANC true wireless earbuds truly do deserve the Air naming. They are insanely light and you can barely feel them in your ears, very much like those white buds that I see a handful of folks have. Battery life is really good out of these and the 48 claim is pretty spot on. The convenience of wireless charging is great. The Case I have mixed feelings about the case. It has a flip cover that has a flexible cloth-like material and I don’t necessarily care for this sort of closure. It is however neat that it has a built-in charging cable of the USB-type variety so you can plug it straight into a female USB-A port without any additional cable that could possibly get lost. Very convenient. The buds sit securely inside the case and the magnets that hold them in place are very strong. It would be unlikely to lose them if the case were to drop and the top were to open. Sound Quality The sound quality out of these earbuds was quite good. It has 3 different EQ modes and each is quite distinct. The level of bass that comes out of the Bass Boost profile packs in a punch. The balanced profile seems a little light on the low end but the Signature profile is my personal favorite. It boosts the highs nicely and almost creates a 3D effect. Quite nice. ANC Noise cancellation works but isn’t amazing. I personally don’t use ANC all that much so this wasn’t a big deal for me. Controls Each earbud has touch controls and no physical buttons. Quite convenient. They did a good job in providing lots of functionality in each earbud including all the normal stuff you would expect like play/pause, forward/backward tracks, but also volume (Apple - cough cough), siri/google, as well as EQ settings. Pretty impressed there. I was pleasantly surprised by the JLabs Air ANC True Wireless earbuds. My comments about the case are trivial, but though I would mention it. The buds themselves are great and these are highly recommended.

JLAB has made many great entries into the wireless earbud market, and the JLAB Epic Air ANC True Wireless Earbuds do not disappoint! I really like the size. Some wireless earbuds are large and bulky, but these seem to be the perfect minimalist size for every day wear. They come with a small case that doubles as a batter pack so even if you are not near an outlet you can charge the earbuds! They are advertised to have roughly 12 hours of battery life on a single charge with another 36 hours of battery life from the internal battery inside the earbud case. This boasts up to 48 hours of battery life on the go! That is impressive! The box comes with several additional sizes of earbuds to meet the needs of a wide range of people. Another feature I like is that the case can be placed on wireless charging pads instead of having to be plugged into a wall adapter. It does, however, include a usb adapter built onto the case for plugging it in to charge the case and earbuds. Two great features of these earbuds are the ANC (active noise cancellation) and Be Aware mode. The active noise cancellation ensures no outside noises are heard while listening to your earbuds. On the opposite side, the Be Aware mode allows outside noises to play over the earbuds so that you can use them while out and about while still being aware of your surroundings. These earbuds also have built in EQ modes that can be changed with a few taps on the touch sensitive places on the earbuds. The earbuds have an app that can be downloaded to your smart phone that allows you to adjust the button functions, EQ, Be Aware Mode, and the ANC. It also installs updates via the app. The earbuds required an update right out of the box. Speaking to people on the earbuds was clear and there were no issues with the person on the other end of the line hearing me. All in all, these earbuds are great! I highly recommend them!
