These are a nice pair of wireless earbuds. Pretty light weight with descent sound quality. I felt the tone range, while listening to music, wasn't the greatest range but they did the job. The ear pieces themselves fit nicely in my ears but I did to experience a little fatigue in the ears after an hour or so. Battery life is over 13 hours and full charge took about 2 hours. Calls sound great but if you're outside people on the other end can hear background noise. The active noise cancellation works really well indoors but you still can hear some ambient noise if you're outdoors. In the box: head set, carrying pouch, charging cable and an auxiliary cable. Overall, these are a great pair of anc wireless earbuds.

JLab is a modern brand that focuses on premium, yet value oriented products. The Epic ANC is no exception to this, offering multiple levels of Active Noise Cancellation, bluetooth 5, wired mode, and tons of battery life in a portable package. Does it deliver where it counts? I’d say yes, but with caveats.
The box is relatively small, emphasizing that these are portable earbuds. What you find inside is a nice presentation of the product, that I somehow managed to free from its retail prison. Seriously, it was difficult to remove these headphones from the package! Once freed, the packaging revealed some nice bonuses: a nice quality storage bag, usb cable, usb to 3.5mm headphone jack, the latter 2 in JLab’s signature blue, so you know, you won’t lose them. There are also multiple sized silicone adapters, but I really appreciated the stock ones the most, as they kept the earbud snug in my ear despite activity. In addition to the earbud portions, there is a silicon piece for securing in your earlobe.
I charged them overnight from a 1 amp USB port, and then connected them. Despite charging the entire night, they reported ‘hello, battery medium’ vocally when I turned them on for the first time. They immediately entered pairing mode continuing their announcement. They paired right up with my iPhone XS Max. Checking battery stance reported 70%, but they still show 70% after about 5 hours of use, so perhaps they’ll straighten up after a bit of a battery stress. That said, about 5 hours in and the battery seems to be holding up solid. This is all with the ANC on. I was able to connect them to multiple devices, but be aware that they will stay connected to multiple devices, and if nothing is play will continue to report that they are connected and their battery status. It’s easy enough to disconnect, but I can’t say I’ve had a lot of headphones that stay connected to the other device.
Build quality is quite nice, with thick rubberized cables connecting the earbud portions to the thicker wrap around neck frame. Everything is very flexible, except for the control area and what I assume is the battery compartment on the other side. These are chunky, but felt pretty secure around my neck. Of course compared to truly wireless earbuds, this design feels clunky, but offers 3-5x the battery life of that type without the worry of losing an earbud during activity. Along the right side towards the earbud is a microphone, and while I didn’t use it much, no one I spoke to complained. Background noise was audible, but not overpowering. The earbuds magnetically connect to each other to keep them from tangling, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately this isn’t a way to hint to power off or even stop music, which is a missed opportunity.
The right side of the headphones contains the pod with all the buttons, and micro-usb charging connector. On the main side of the pod, you have a play/pause/voice assistant button, volume-up/next track, and volume-down/previous track (functions respective of single and double press). On the bottom is the ANC control. Holding this for 2 seconds causes the ANC to enable. A green LED illuminates to let you know it’s on. Pushing the button will swap between low ANC, high ANC, and ‘be aware’ mode. The first two are self explanatory, and helpful in different situations. On a plane? Use the high ANC. At the office or just at home? Use the low ANC (as it distorts sound less). The ‘be aware’ mode was interesting. In the several instances it felt like it was actively inserting noise that didn’t exist - but after experimenting I found it just over emphasized some background noises. Specifically my bathroom fan sounded 10x louder than it did in real life, but other sounds were a bit more realistic. I haven’t used these around traffic, but my assumption would be you’d hear the sound of a car coming up on you. Anything that helps keep you aware while running is a win in my book. These do offer water resistance, with a warning that you should keep the rubber door to the micro usb port closed.
Overall sound quality was ok at moderate volumes. These definitely sound their price, as treble could be harsh, and bass quite boomy, without presence. None of this is much of a surprise, as JLab is no exemption from the ‘V’ shaped equalizer. People tend to buy headphones tuned this way, and they don’t sound bad. Mids are overly muted, leaving some genres of music hollow and disjointed. Dance, electronic all sounded powerful, but I found treble at greater than 50% volume to be completely uncomfortable and crushed. This was present no matter what I did, but more emphasized with ANC on. I wish JLab had a way to tweak the sound, but alas, no built in EQ exists. The treble was harsh even amplified by the 3.5mm adapter, so it’s innately how the drivers are tuned. One interesting thing is that the ANC can be turned on and off with the bluetooth disabled - allowing its use for up to 50 hours when not utilizing bluetooth.
So great battery life, good build quality, and flexible operating, all with Active Noise Cancellation. These sound like great headphones on paper, and they are quite good. They’re let down by middling audio quality that is downright uncomfortable to use at 50% volume, and a complete dumpster fire by 80% volume. If you can tweak around their over enthusiastic treble, you might be able to find redemption here. Otherwise I’d steer clear if you need any volume from these.

Pros:
Multiple ear tips
Fast charge
Long battery
Stays put during exercise
Cons:
Could have more bass
These ear buds are so comfortable. I have issues with getting a comfortable fit with a lot of ear buds however these included so many tip options it was easy to find one I liked. These stay put really well doing chores or exercising. It pairs easily and you get an audible confirmation of how much battery life is left. They charge quickly and have a super long battery life. The sound is decent and my only complaint is the bass could be a little louder. I highly recommend these to anyone active looking for new buds.

This was initially a decent set of headphones- not very comfortable but had some decent ANC without impeding on my glasses. However, after two 2months the volume out of the left earbud is very dim and pales vs. the right's output.
I've checked for any blockages and haven't found them- I'd Reconsider.

If you’re looking for some decent wireless earbuds with ANC that won’t break the bank these might be just what you’re looking for. I’m no audiophile....just an average listener that just knows what sounds good to me (if you want a more spec heavy review then I’m not the one to read). The sound is decent overall although it could do better in the midrange. But for most the sound will be considered very good for an earbud.
The noise canceling is adequate and I do like that you have 3 options to choose from allowing you to control how much outside noise you let in. Of course, there are higher end options out there that excel in ANC features but these definitely provide surprisingly good use of the feature making them something you can confidently use on your commutes or wherever you want to tune out your surroundings a bit.
Battery life definitely surpassed my expectations considering other options I’ve used have a far shorter battery life despite their claims. I’m not sure you’ll get 15+ hours for sure but I did get close to 5 hours without putting a dent in the charge. I also like the added benefit of the included 3.5mm AUX-IN cable for in flight entertainment use.
Testing out a few phone calls via my iPhone 11 Pro Max also went very well. I could hear the person on the other end clearly and they reported that I sound clear also. That is always a plus since sometimes making calls with a Bluetooth device can be an annoyance to those on the other end.
I haven’t tried a hardcore workout but these worked great for my light job. They were comfortable in my ears after I found the right tip combination for me, did not slip out.
Overall, I would definitely recommend these to those that want the convenience of wireless earbuds with the addition of ANC without the steep price.
