Cheapest "Pro" buds, but still wait for a sale

I will say that at this point I have had a decent number of earbuds, true wireless buds and wired buds as well so I do believe I can give a decent viewpoint on whether these are good. However, I very much wish JLab would start to get more focused with their product lines and naming scheme because I was incredibly confused when I saw this as well as the JLab Epic Sport ANC 3 but then then realize that the "logic" is that there's a... Separation between the "Epic" and the "Epic Sport" that's technically part of the "Epic" line, but technically the "Epic" line does not share similarities with previous "Epic" earbuds that also had the "Epic Air" and "Epic Air Sport". Apparently now the "Epic" include dual driver technology, except when it applies to the "Epic Work" and the other "Epic" peripherals like keyboards, mice and microphones. I know you don't ready these reviews JLab but please fix this. It's difficult to keep up with what any of the product line titles and what they are even supposed to mean when you meaninglessly slap them onto a bunch of other things that it basically seems like you closed your eyes and threw darts at sticky notes to come up with the names. Packaging is what you can expect, along with the case, tips and cloud tips and even it's own charging cable since this is one of the few times that they decided to go with a traditional charging method being a female usb c port on the back side. I know it may seem shocking but I honestly couldn't care less since you wouldn't be charging this case too often due to its long battery life. Sound quality is actually quite great due to the dual driver system or whatever they call it. This certainly isn't brand new technology that they invented, but it certainly is nice to see them in a pair of semi-mainstream earbuds. The buds themselves are rather large, but as long as you orient them correctly in your ears this shouldn't be the worst issue. And thanks to the app you can tune the sound as well as the controls so you can play/pause, turn on/off anc and be aware mode and so on. I did not test the anc since it tends to give me a headache but I do enjoy the be aware setting. It isn't on par with Apple's tech but nothing else ever is, but it is serviceable in case you need to hear an announcement or a friend/coworker talking to you. I also read that trying to get LDAC is a bit of a pain, I personally have not been able to discern the difference because I don't use applications that fully take advantage of the higher bandwidth or whatever the advantage of LDAC is supposed to be. I just listen to music and videos through youtube and whatever these buds pump out is good enough for me. So at the end of the day? Wait for a sale, don't pay full price. $200 is quite a lot for any pair of buds, but some would see it as a steal if they get compared to airpods or even galaxy buds pro. Just remember that they actually do sound good, have anc and pass-through mics and can be had for $200 or even less if you are patient.

I've used quite a bit of different earbuds from Apple Airpods 2, Sony, Anker and Beats. They all are good in their own respect however I really prefer ones that are good all-around. From calls to music/gaming, I like earbuds I can use for pretty much anything. These are actually quite nice and easily fulfill that jack-of-all-trades earbuds but with stellar performance. For calls, really nothing to complain about here. Sound is crystal clear and no issues with drops or echoing like I have had with some other ones. Whether connected to my phone or laptop, I get great sound and clear voice coming through. For music, very nice to say the least. While it's not as deep a bass as Sonys, these still offer great all around sound that will suit anyones needs really. Mids/highs are nice and crisp but also has a touch of bass as well. I know that some people do/don't like Bluetooth LE but I find it to be a bit more versatile, especially when connecting to multiple devices. Overall, these are probably my top three earbuds that I currently have and will find a nice place in my pack whenever I travel.

Bought mainly to update my older, lesser brand active noise cancelling ear buds. The fit is amazing and comfortable, the sound is excellent. Clarity, volume and background noise cancelling works great! Battery life is well beyond my typical use. Would recommend and wiuld buy again if lost….

I have to give only three stars on this item...here's why: They sound great! The drivers for the bass are really phenomenal! The sound is much clearer and richer than my Airpods pro 2nd generation. The JLab app provides a lot of options. HOWEVER....I work from home a couple of days each week. I've noticed that if I'm using these for talking, the person on the other end let me know that my voice sounds staticky or muffled. I'm using the USB-C dongle that is included. I go back to another headset that I've had for a few years with a dongle and I have no issues. I'm not sure what is going on, but keep what I said in mind when thinking about these if you WFH and need to use these for talking through your computer for anything.

I have only used it for two weeks, and the headset can be used for no more than five hours after it is fully charged(And that's without using the receiver and noise reduction mode). The sound will occasionally split during calls. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the product I got. It still has its advantages, such as the noise reduction mode does not make the ears uncomfortable, and the earphones can stay firmly on the ears.

As a regular Android user, it seems there are just limitless options when it comes to earbuds. JLab has always been a solid choice, but with this “higher-end” option I really think they nailed it. They sound good, are feature-rich, have a nice app, have solid battery life, and perhaps most importantly, fit me very well. I pretty much like everything. They are well-built. Solid. Not too heavy. A nice weight. I like the build. They come with 6 sets of tips, 3 sizes in each Silicone as well as Cloud Foam. Most should find a fit that works for them. Clearly, fit is going to be a personal thing, and be different for each person. For me, when it comes buds, this is just about the most important thing. If they aren’t comfortable, I won’t wear them. If I won’t wear them, then what is the point? Further, without a proper fit, the sound will suffer. Again, what is the point? Luckily, in my case, they fit me very well. Further, they are comfortable. For me. As for the design/style? I can’t say that I “love” it, but it is “ok.” I would have preferred more black, more plain, but that is just my style. Boring, I know. I suspect most would like it. Pairing was quick and easy. Google Fast Pair. Thank you. I really have not had any true connectivity issues to this point. I messed with the multipoint stuff, and it mostly has been nice. Perhaps a quirk here and there, but, generally, everything has been rock-solid otherwise. The addition of a USB-C dongle is just a great, great add. Options and versatility are always welcome. I would love to see more brands include this. The App is quick to pick up, intuitive, and gives you a fair amount to play with as well as control. I really think it is worth the time to play with the EQ settings so you can dial the sound in to how you like it. It really makes a difference. Here you also control the noise cancellation modes, which I found all worked very well. I was pretty impressed with the ANC, which isn’t always the case. As for sound. They sound quite good. It would be hard for me to truly say audiophile level, but absolutely good, comparable with many in this section of the market, and I think most would be pleased. Lows, Mids, Highs, and Vocals are good across the board. Most genres I listened to sound “mostly” good as is, but as I suggested above, take the time to go in and play with the EQ and sound settings. It is worth the time. I just think they did a good job here, in both construction as well as on the tech side by supporting hi-res codecs and using Bluetooth LE. All in all, I like the sound. Battery life for me has been great. I would say as rated, perhaps a bit better. JLab hit all the key points here. USB-C, quick charge, long life, and a case that provides lots of backups (rated for 3 extra charges). As for cases, well, they can be a personal thing. You are either going to like it or not. Here, again, I do not really love the look (see above). That said, it just works. It’s a good shape and size and is pocketable. The metal construction is welcome, and I love the internal magnets that take and hold the buds in place. Ultimately, as I said at the start, these are a really nice set of buds and I like them. They fit me well, are well-built, have great battery life, and sound quite good. There are some nice adds here and there, and I think taken as a whole they are a good value. I think the design/styling is the only thing that I really don’t “like,” but honestly, they are nice enough and that is just a matter of personal taste anyway.

Summary ------------ I think this is probably the best in-ear ANC headphones JLAB ever put out there and they are very competitive. Extremely clear audio - crisp highs and punchy bass make this headphones a very valid competitor Pros ----- 1. Excellent noise cancellation 2. Excellent battery life - 13 hours on the buds and 56 hours on the case 3. Good fit - not too small or not too big 4. Very good quality, love the metal case 5. IP55 rating Cons ------ 1. A tad expensive Details --------- Connectivity is great right out of the box. I was able to pair it to my OnePlus 9 pro with ease and the connection was quicker than my Jabra elite 85t. Almost same as the Samsung buds 2 pro. That’s because it has the Google Fast pair and works flawlessly. I downloaded the JLABs apps to control the headphones ANC and equalizers but I like my music neutral and did not bother setting any eqs. The metal case feels very solid as well as the earbuds which has a translucent body (partial) The earbuds supports both USB charging as well as wireless charging. 10 minutes of charging gives about 2 hours of music. The battery life is rated at 13 hours on the buds and 56 hours on the case. That is pretty substantial. With ANC it drops to 9 hours but still pretty good. Talking about sound quality, the sound quality is great, crystal clear highs and not too boomy but punchy bass. The Bass is almost as good as my Jabra 85t and the highs are as good as the samsung buds2 pro I did not get a chance to check this headphone's ANC capability in an airplane setting but with the TV on, I think the ANC is pretty good Overall I am fairly pleased with the headphones.

These earbuds are literally packed with lots of the newest tech features. Hybrid dual drivers provide dedicated signaling unlike cheaper buds with a single driver to push all your bass and treble. Independent functioning so you can use one earbud seamlessly. USB C dongle actually docks into the case magnetically so you don’t have to search for it. The case is a little bigger than most of my other earbuds, likely because of the extra room for the dongle. However, the feel is premium with a cool magnesium alloy and flat rubberized base that stands up straight. The battery life is rated for 56 hours. I didn’t run the batteries all the way down, but I have been able to get a week of listening to podcasts during runs now without requiring a recharge. The best part for me personally is that the buds don’t fall out even when I’m running. I’ve never had to readjust the buds in my ears during a run. The silicon and foam tips were both comfortable, but I found the silicon seems to seal a little better for me so I’ve been using those. One con is that the magnets in the case to hold the buds are quite strong, so much that it took some getting used to the first few times trying to remove them. Coupled with a tapered contour on the buds, and basically there’s little surface area for you to get traction, plus the taper means your fingers sort of slide off. Not a deal breaker but something to be aware of so you’re not surprised. Function and form are both fantastic

Jlab Epic Lab Edition ANC true wireless earbuds I a pretty solid set of earbuds. Jlab votes for the hybrid dual driver that offers a real solid coherent sound. With high-res audio, LDAC on Android, or AAC on iOS. I’m an outdoors guy so I love this model's active noise canceling, which is easily controllable in the app with three noise control modes. It has a pretty nice app. I must add they’ve finally gotten close to getting it. It also has dual charging, which means you can charge it on most charging pads as well. The set of buds offers an easy connection with a USB-C dongle as well. And multiple sets of ear cushions for your perfect fit in ear. My only drawback with these is they aren’t loud, but they do boast an amazing sound. I didn’t exactly time my charging of how long it lasted, but jlab boasted 56-hour use on full charge. You’re able to get amazing sounds with custom cues and also preloaded eq settings in the jlab app. These are definitely worth checking out so do yourself a favor and grab your pair.
