Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The noise cancelling is not very good for the price. Ive tried multiple ear tips and i can still hear when it should be silent. The app controls do not work if you use the usb c dongle. I expected better experience from this but ended up dissatisfied.

Just amazing!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start off by saying I have always been a big fan of the Jlab ear buds. They always seem to have a great balance between sound quality and being budget friendly. I have to say, they knocked it out of the park with these! Although they aren’t without their flaws (more on that later) these truly are one of the best sounding earbuds I have ever used. …….and I have used a LOT of them! Out of the box you can tell these are a premium set of earbuds. The night weight of the metal carrying case, to the solid feel of the earbuds. There is nothing about these that feels cheap. While I am on the topic of the case, I will mention one of the minor flaws. The ear buds are hard to get out of the case, especially if you have larger fingers. It would be nice if the top of the case folded completely back to make accessing the earbuds easier. But that is a minor gripe. Much like other earbuds, the case has a battery inside that can store power and charge them when they are in the case. They claim 56 hours of playtime, and I have no reason to believe anything less. These things seriously last forever before you have to charge them! Also in the case is the USBC dongle that you can plug into your device to get Hi-Res audio. I tried it with some High-Res music files and they sounded absolutely amazing through these earbuds! One small caveat about the dongle is that if you have a case on your phone, you most likely will have to remove the case in order for the dongle to fit. The plastic top of the dongle is roughly ¾” x ¼” and I have found most phone cases don’t have that large of a cutout on the bottom for a charging port. Another minor annoyance that does have a workaround. lets now get to the sound quality of these things. They come with a bunch of different tips, so be sure that you try them and find the ones that fit your ear the best and that gives you a good seal. Then you will get the best audio possible. I have to say I was blown away by the sound of these. I have tried other earbuds that cost more than twice as much as these, and these ones sound just as good, if not better. Very balanced sound with good bass response, which is hard to do in earbuds. Im assuming that’s thanks to the hybrid dual drivers. Any type of music I threw at these sounded great. From classical, to rock and metal, all the way to hip hop and rap. It all sounded phenomenal. If anything, I would say they are a little bassy, but I love bass so these are perfect for me. Even if you don’t want it booming, there is a companion app with a full EQ so you can tweak the sound so its perfect for you. The earbuds also have spatial audio in addition to the Hi-Res audio. I loaded up some spatial audio tracks and I have to say these earbuds handle it very well. You will feel even more immersed in your music than ever before! In the companion app you can also adjust things like the touch controls where you can press or tap on the different buds to do different things like turn the volume up or down or skip tracks and things like that. I found all of the touch controls to work great, and I never had any problems with the earbuds misinterpreting what I was trying to do. Another thing these have is the active noise cancelling. There are 2 different modes that you can use. Noise cancelling off is the first. Be aware is the next one which kind of mixes what you are listening to with the outside noise. This is great if you are outside and want to listen to your music but still be aware of your surroundings and hear people or cars and things around you. Then lastly there is the full active noise cancelling. I find that it works very well, one caveat is if there is any wind around you. Then it has a really hard time blocking that out. But if you are on a bus or plane or somewhere where there is a lot of noise around you, it does a very good job of blocking that out. I found you are still slightly able to hear things if your music isn’t up very loud, but for noise cancelling on a earbud, they do a great job! Overall, I was totally blown away by these earbuds. If you are thinking about getting one of the more expensive brands, I beg you to give these a try first. You won’t be sorry and you will most likely save yourself a lot of money! There are a couple little design flaws, but the sound totally makes up for that

Great set of wireless earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are many options out there when it comes to wireless earbuds, and many different price points. I needed something that I could use reliably during workouts because my Airpods weren't cutting it. I got tired of them slipping out of my ears, and the lack of true noise cancelling feature (face it, they suck in loud environments like the train). Along came the opportunity to try the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS, so I went for it. The first thing I love about the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS is the case. It feels like really great quality, and protective, materal. Not too heavy, and just right. The case holds enough battery for a few charges, and the earbuds have great battery life as well. The sound quality is great! They block out outside noice incredibly well, including my son's loud games in the background. I use the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS during weight and cardio workouts, and they have been perfect. Not once have the fallen out of my ears. Only one time have they tried to slip out, but that just meant that I have to choose a slightly bigger bud size (multiple sizes included in the box). This solved my issue right away. The fit is nice, snug, and very comfortable. The sound quality is great as well. I really enjoy the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS during workouts. I sweat a lot during my workouts and the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS have never dissapointed. The only slight issue that I have is that the case magnetically attaches the buds when charging, which I love because it ensures that they are properly seated for charging, but it can be a bit difficult trying to get the earbuds out for use. I still would prefer these earbuds for my workout over my airpods ANY DAY! I would highly recommend the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC TRUE WIRELESS EARBUDS to anyone!

Great sound but not for active activity
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 1. Excellent sound quality with deep bass. 2. Various normal rubber ear tip sizes and Foam tips. 3. Reliable Bluetooth connection directly to your pc or mobile phone. Also includes a dedicated usbc adapter for lower latency connection to PC/Mac. 4. Excellent battery life complemented by a nice metal charging case. 5. IP55 sweat and water resistance. (did not have any issues when working out) 6. Intuitive touch controls for easy playback and call management. 7. ANC was pretty good out of the box 8. Mobile APP to adjust sound profile Cons: 1. Limited color options may not suit all preferences. 2. Hard to pull out of case. 3. They did not stay in my ear while running. 4. Mic for Teams/Zoom calls was just ok. Summary: The JLab Epic Lab Edition Wireless Earbuds offer premium sound quality with great bass, comfortable wear, and reliable connectivity. With anc, long battery life, and durable design, they cater to audiophiles and some active users. The dedicated USBC dongle was nice to be able to connect these to my desktop at work and move to my laptop without worrying about Bluetooth pairing issues. While color variety is limited, these earbuds will provide an excellent experience for anything other than active sports. I found that they fell out of my ear when running and working out when I laid down on a bench.

Very versatile and sound great
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, these are wonderful. I charged them up on the first day and when I pulled the first one out, my phone asked me if I wanted to pair them without any having to do any fighting. Sound quality is really good and with the app I can set my own EQ or use either of the two presets. Most of the time the presets are perfect. I made one for podcasts just because I could. The case holds a lot of power and they lasted over a week of use 3-4 hours a day and the case was only at 40%. You get six choices of sized in your ear ends to choose from so fit is really good. Small, medium, and large in both silicone material and a memory-style foam. The mic works well and no one could tell I was using them instead of talking on my phone normally and I didn't have to resort to speakerphone. The included dongle makes using them on a compter as easy as plugging it into a USB-C port. The dongle is wide so it can block other ports if they are too close together. For the down sides, the shape is weird to get out of the case and they slip out of my fingers really easily. I also struggled to pause and unpause if I only had 1 in instead of both. Overall, a very good showing from JLAB

Competitive Earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLAB Epic Lab wireless earbuds are a step up for a brand that’s not necessarily known for high end products. But they’ve done a great job packing some features that make these earbuds a good value. First off, like all earbuds, you have to insert these enough to get a good seal to fully appreciate the sound. Then the question is how comfortable they are when tightly sealed in your ears. JLAB includes 2 styles of ear tips (silicone and cloud) in 3 sizes each. The silicone ear tips were the more comfortable for me. PROs - Sound: I’m no audiophile but the sound are excellent once the earbuds are inserted properly with the proper fitting ear tips. If you’re a bass head, they may not reach the level of throbbing low beats you want, but I thought they sounded just fine across a variety of music genres. - Low profile: They don’t stick out much and don’t weigh much. Makes it easy to wear them for as long as you need. - Multi-point functionality: I wish all earbuds and headphones had this feature. It allows you to connect to two devices simultaneously via Bluetooth (though play from one at a time). - Dongle: Perhaps the most innovative feature of these earbuds is the included USB-C dongle. When inserted into a phone or computer, the earbuds automatically connect to the dongle, disconnecting any Bluetooth connections. This eliminates having to go through a Bluetooth pairing process when switching among devices. Most devices will recognize the connection as if it were a wired headset, giving you the highest quality output. - The earbuds support Bluetooth LE Audio and the LC3 codec which enables the same if not higher quality sound than standard Bluetooth with the SBC codec. And it does this with lower battery consumption. Not many phones output Bluetooth LE Audio yet, but you can get over 50 hours of playtime with it on these earbuds. - Spatial Audio: If your device supports spatial audio like Dolby Atmos, these earbuds will support sound spatialization. - Smart ANC: The auto noise canceling adapts to your surroundings so you don’t have to toggle settings for quiet versus noisy environments. CONs - Tricky to remove from case: The earbuds are clumsy to remove from the case with their slick surface. And the dongle reduces “grabability” space as well. They need more grip. - Dongle makes it simple to connect without having to go thru Bluetooth pairings. But you lose multi-point connectivity when using the dongle. - The app is annoying to use. It announces all button presses. So when you’re changing the EQ, for example, it announces whichever preset you’ve pressed. There’s no setting to turn off announcements. The EQ setting can only be changed while you’re playing media. If there’s no sound being played, the EQ cannot be altered. Perhaps this is a failsafe so you don’t unknowingly change the EQ, but I can’t imagine a lot of people asked for this feature. Overall I give these 4.5 stars. Excellent sound and battery life, but the app and non-easy removal from the case make me reduce a half star.

J Lab's sonic marvel at a great value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently picked up a new set of ear buds with the JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC True Wireless, and having been a customer of J Lab products in the past I was expecting a pure sounding ear bud hat was sure to impress. I have not been disappointed, in fact I am overwhelmingly impressed with these updated buds. These earbuds bring a harmonious blend of premium features, exceptional sound quality, and thoughtful design that rivals some of the big brand names in the market. First and foremost, let's talk about the showstopper - the aluminum charging case. It's not just a case; it's a sleek, sturdy companion that exudes quality. The dual charging capability, be it wirelessly or through the USB-C cable, offers a versatile charging experience. With the charging case offering up to 50 plus hours of playtime, I rarely find myself reaching for the charging cable. It's a testament to the efficiency and longevity of these earbuds. The earbuds themselves are a marvel of engineering, providing a snug fit that feels secure without sacrificing comfort. The inclusion of multiple ear fittings, including those luxurious foam fittings, ensures that finding the perfect fit is not cumbersome. Whether I'm on a jog or immersing myself in a streaming marathon, these earbuds stay put and remain comfortable throughout. One standout feature is the JLAB app, which takes customization to the next level. I rarely utilize the companion apps with ear buds but this J Lab app actually works wonders. The app's equalizer allows for fine-tuning sound adjustments, catering to individual preferences. It's a level of control over the audio experience that I didn't expect from earbuds in this price range. The ability to personalize the sound profile enhances the overall listening pleasure. One addition that these ear buds brings to the table is the Bluetooth LE audio. The charging case houses not only the ear buds but also the USB-C dongle that plugs into your pc or laptop for low latency and enhanced audio. I’m not sold on this feature as of yet because it is an extra step, not much, but still having to plug in a usb-c type adapter for better sound for ear buds that I don’t plan on using with my pc. It does work and I’m sure there is a target audience, but the wireless Bluetooth audio of these earbuds is so good that I personally do not feel the need for this added feature. Now, let's address the elephant in the room - value. The JLAB EPIC LAB EDITION ANC earbuds don't just compete with the big brand names; they stand tall as a worthy competitor. The features packed into these earbuds, from the premium charging case to the customizable sound experience, make them an absolute steal at their price point. Great value for a great product. I’m impressed and very happy with these ear buds.

Premium buds with unique features and extra value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As recently as a year ago I would never have been able to process the idea of JLab having a premium pair of true wireless earbuds on the market going toe to toe with some of the big names in the consumer audio space. The first set of true wireless earbuds I ever reviewed were a pair of extreme budget JLab earbuds and they were just fine for their price but didn't leave much doubt as to where they belonged on the price chart. However, I purchased two pair of their kids' headphones for my twins thanks to their excellent volume limiters and have used a few other accessories that prepared me for JLab to be positioning themselves a little higher on the food chain. The JLab Epic Lab Edition earbuds correct a few deficiencies I've seen with recent premium earbuds that I've used. Namely, the inclusion of LDAC support is a welcome inclusion with my Galaxy S22 Ultra, ensuring I'm getting the best quality compression for the bluetooth stream, which is reflected in crisp highs without noticeable compression artifacts. I also REALLY like the included USB-C dongle and how it convienently eliminates the problem of having to fiddle with multipoint connections with my work computer or gaming PC alongside my phone. Just plug in the dongle and the earbuds instantly pair to it and disconnect from Bluetooth. The dongle is automatically using LDAC and low latency audio, and it is great for gaming. At the office, it also allowed me to instantly pair the earbuds with my work PC and use for a meeting without any hassle. I also really appreciate that the JLab app includes the ability to limit volume in 2 stages - either 85 or 95 db in addition to unlimited. I'd consider these a really strong choice for parents of teens with Android phones, who could be convinced to use the 85db setting and protect their long term hearing. The overall sound quality of the JLab Epic Lab Edition earbuds is pretty good. For podcast and audiobook narration, the Knowles Preferred EQ setting is fantastic. I found it to be a little too bright for music use, but I was impressed that the JLab Signature EQ setting was pretty close to the same brightness without being too bass heavy. My biggest complaint with the earbuds and app is that the custom EQ settings are hard to use. It's like there's some kind of exponential attenuation to the settings as small adjustments to each frequency didn't make a difference, but once you go over a certain point the adjustment is huge. I'm glad the JLab Signature setting is close enough to my tastes. A quick summary of the things I really like: -The metal case is fantastic. And I like the non-slip bottom which allows wireless charging as well. -The inclusion of 6 different ear tips including foam style -Very bright audio presentation, shows off the LDAC compression well -Multi-stage sound limiting for protecting your hearing long term -Dongle makes it very easy to connect to computer, tablet, or Nintendo Switch without having to pair to each new device

Great wireless headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The JLAB HYBRID DUAL-DRIVER ANC TRUE WIRELESS EPIC LAB EDITION is a great set of wireless headphones. Packaging is pretty straight forward, set up was very simple and took a few moments. It's important read the instructions about how to change the EQ settings on these headphones. Out of the box, they really didn't sound great. Once I was able to change the EQ settings around they sounded much better. It's pretty intuitive, tap once on one of the ear pieces for volume up/down, twice for play pause/voice assistant, press and hold for voice controls/fast forward and tap the headphones 3 times for EQ settings. It works well, I prefer using the app to change the EQ settings. You can also make and receive phone calls with these headphones as well. Quality of sound is good on these when speaking to someone on the phone. One issue I have with these is that they could be more comfortable. Compared with competitors, these fall somewhere in the middle. They could be more comfortable, I do feel like they can easily fall out while running as well. The product includes multiple earpieces for different sized ears but I much prefer the headphones that are able to wrap around the top of your ear. Of course that's just my preference. Charge time is pretty good as I haven't charged them yet and have about 12 hours use on them at this time. The case these come in has some weight to it, so if you drop or sit on this case the contents will be safe. Overall good headphones, good sound, could've been a better form factor but if you're in the market for new headphones and want to save a little money vs other brands, these are perfect.

Awesome Sound With ANC!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With so many entries into the true wireless bluetooth earbud market, it can be hard to pick a decent pair. If you are in the market, look no further than the JLab! This pair of earbuds comes jam packed with so many features! First of all, the charging case is sleek and robust! It has an excellent build quality that feels absolutely premium in your hands. The headset has an advertised up to 56 hours of playtime between the earbuds and the charging case. The case can be charged via USB C or via wireless charger! The earbuds sound excellent! They have active noise cancellation that can be tailored to your specific needs via the downloadable smartphone app. The drivers are advertised as hybrid dual drivers. All you need to know is, the sound is impressive! These earbuds can also connect to more than one device at one time! My one complaint about these, which is minor, is that they can sometimes be hard to remove from the case. If you have larger fingers the more slick texture of the earbuds may not allow your fingers to easily grip the earbuds to remove them from the charging case. This in no way detracts from the sound quality of the earbuds, but i felt it should be mentioned. Over all, these earbuds are impressive and the sound quality will wow your ears!

Dissapointed
