Sound quality is surprisingly good for the price. There are less than helpful gestures programmed into the buds when only one is being used for phone calls. Also, the fact that the charging requires a female rather than male input is a bit obnoxious. Overall, though, they are a good pair of earbuds for a good price.

In my opinion there are some products or items you just KNOW work, as in you don’t think about quality outside of the minute detail of slightly cooler color or a little bit better quality. For me, earbuds are one of those since I generally listen to 75% podcasts or audiobooks and then a little bit of music where sound quality matters. Looking at the JLab Go Pods I was most excited about the translucent purple color, of course they would work but they would look SO COOL doing it!
Boy was I wrong.
The box arrived and the process of carefully removing the tape to remove the buds was difficult to say the least and I ended up shredding the box. Once free the contents of the box are the two buds inside the charging case, some instructions/fine print paperwork, and size options for the earbud tips. I admired the semi-clear case then popped the lid and took the buds out to test the pre-installed size of the tips. They are a little bulky for earbuds but not obscenely so however the tips that were installed felt too big in my ear. I removed the first tip and attempted to fit a smaller one on for comparison, a task which I’ve done countless times before replacing or sizing different buds over the years of earbud use.
Changing the JLabs Go tips is a feat of grueling effort and heroic effort to succeed at. It felt to me like the plastic bud was slightly too large to fit in the semi-firm rubber tip’s mounting hole. In other earbuds I’ve been able to start at an angle and press down until the rubber “pops” onto the earbud, but in this case even getting it started wasn’t helpful as soon as you press it pops loose and goes to the side. Eventually I got the smaller tip installed and decided it was a little too small but I wasn’t about to go through the tip exchange process again so soon, I popped the earbud in to test the sound. I was then disappointed by the sound level, it was very low to the point I assumed my phone had the bluetooth volume down too low until I checked. I took the to work for a real world test. Part of me wondered if maybe they had some kind of noise adjustment technology so they turn up louder in a louder environment but instead I found they are just low even at max volume for maximum frustration in a noisy environment.
OK, there is one single bright spot besides the retro 90s translucent and bright color. There is no charging cable included in the box because the charging case has a built-in USB-C charging cable that folds and tucks into the bottom. What a great feature! I charged them overnight and they’re supposed to work for 17 hours or more, I know they worked for the four hours I used them at work but I didn’t run the battery out because there’s nothing else about these I can recommend. Your top reason to buy earbuds is to get good sound on the go without wires but the sound quality here is just abysmal! Its always nice having options for a comfortable fit but the earbud tips are incredibly frustrating to swap out. Really that’s the most important thing, if your earbuds don’t sound good and aren’t easy to use comfortably they’re a failed product and sadly that’s what happened in this case. Please find something else and avoid the let down of these earbuds.

I love the color and the sound emitted. The case is great and holds the ear buds snuggly. I accidently drop them in the water the dried out and work great now.

Sold earbuds on a budget. 8/10 amc and sound but the magnet on the inside of the case to keep it close came off, but customer service is 10/10. Look of the clear purple is 10/10 but I like the clear purple game boy color so I may be biased

This is my second pair of go JLab go pop earbuds. When my last ones went out I wanted to upgrade to the active noise canceling (ANC) and I really like it! As a college student on a budget, they have been a worthwhile purchase for me. I have ADHD so anything noise canceling has actually been very helpful for focusing. I like the slim design of them because I’m able to put them in while I’m working and it’s not disruptive or rude. The active noise canceling is nothing like $200 Sony could compare, but for less than $30 I’m impressed with the quality of sound and ANC. Plus they are cheap enough to replace when they go out. The carrying case is very small so I’m able to slip them in my pocket or purse when I’m going out and about.

These headphones are good for the price! I enjoy using them at the office to listen to music and take calls. Good battery life so far, but only use them for short periods at a time. Easy to connect!
