Sound quality is good, it's very easy to set up, and you can still talk with people while listening to music. My only issue is the clips to attach to the glasses. They're a hard plastic that feels like it doesn't grip well into the frames (my frames are the thick plastic kind.) They seem to stay fine once i get them there, but it feels like the smells bump could send them flying. Perhaps consider a firm but flexible rubber that you slide you glasses through? If your frames aren't thick like mine then it'll be perfect.

Cool item that came with a charger, carry bag and rubber booties for the metal piece that hooks to the glasses. Gave it 4 stars because the volume is not very loud, no button to adjust volume. Sound is very clear and is a cool item to say the less. Just not for me. I have purchase other wireless items from JLab and they all work well, just depends on what you are using them for. All great items!

Great set to listening tool while still having your ears free and open, fits my RayBan's well - best to use for thick frames. I cannot use with eyeglass frames/arms that are slim/thin because the JBuds will slide along your temples. Also, can a slight bit of weight to your glasses so if you are sensitive to pressure on your nose bridge, might be an issue. I'd still try them out. I like to have my ears open to since I have 2 younger children that I have the ability to hear them call me/open environment for my ears and still able to listen to audio books or music.

Lab Frames is a great alternative to high end open-ear audio without the need of purchase prescription glasses or limited to frames. Concept of clipping the ear buds to the existing glasses (sunglass or prescription glasses) at an affordable price. What’s in the box: 2 Bluetooth modules labelled L/R that clips to the frame, carrying pouch with string, 4 small silicone sleeves, user manual, proprietary dual magnetic USB cable. Setup is fairly easy. Just turn on both the modules, press and hold buttons for few seconds at once, and you will hear a voice prompt that its ready to pair. Just open the phone Bluetooth settings to connect to JLab JBuds Frames. Solid lights will indicate the successful pairing status. Each module can be operated individually also. There is only one physical multipurpose button on each module that functions as power on/off, volume down, voice assistant features, changing tracks and for answer phone calls. Design of JBuds Frames is good and doesn’t need you to purchase separate frames. The 16mm dynamic drivers face backwards and is angled towards the ear and the microphones and magnetic charging ports on the side. Left button with single press decreases the volume and right button with single press increases the volume. Double press the button on the left module activates the SIRI or Ok Google and whereas Play/Pause on right button. If you need to skip tracks backward to the music, then press and hold 1 sec on left side and for forward track same with right side. To answer the calls, you will just single press the button on right side and to hang up double press. To reject incoming calls, press and hold right button. To power off, press and hold either buttons for few seconds until you hear good bye voice. Triple press on both buttons will change EQ settings like Bass boost. Attaching and removing to the frames is easy and if the frames are very thin, you would need to attach the included sleeves for a comfort fit. Sound quality wasn’t so bad. Don’t expect great bass. Initially, music sounded little low until the modules are pushed closer to the ears. Only issue is you can’t wear them in crowds on high volume as the people around you will hear the music. Its great for indoors, where you want to hear your notifications or to music without having to plug your ears with earbuds. Call quality is great at indoors. Microphone works well and the opposite end caller was able to hear loud and clear with little distortion. Not tested on taking calls on a crowded outdoor environment yet. Battery life is advertised to last 8 hours per charge for each module. If you are travelling, you would need the included USB cable to recharge the devices as it attaches magnetically and doesn’t support other USB cables. + Battery life + Easy clip on to existing frames + Affordable - Not compatible with thicker frames -Proprietary short charging cable Overall, great concept of using existing frames at an affordable price if you are in the market for open-ear Bluetooth audio frames.

    Neat Accaesory For Framers

I didn't think I'd much care for these, being that I'm a big true wireless wearer and have always been a fan of over the ear style headphones. The Jbuds Frames are new idea that won't set well with everyone in the eye glass wearing community. But for those with an open mind and pentiant for trying new things,(relatively affordable new things, that is.)these should be worth a look. I found that the initial setup was a little iffy, but it seems Jlab has foreseen this and tells you how to fix it in the trouble-shooting section of the Quick starting guide. After setup though, they go to work just fine. The sound is thrown to your ears, givng you the ability to still hear the world around you with no muffle. Since the JBFs are attatched to your glasses, they aren't inside your ear. I personally enjoy the silence( let me know if you got that reference) of earbuds and over the ear, noise cancelling headphones, but this was and is a comfortable change. If you're one of those types who like to take on speaker phone like a Kardasian, this is right up your ally too. Because people are able to still over-hear your business. That's my main drawback. The look is a little odd, but so wereearly bluetooth ear pieces, until people got use to them. they don't way down my glasses as much as I thought they would so that's a plus and there's an 8 hour charge. So all in all, I think they're a neat idea that stands to only get better. I'd recommend these because they aren't very expensive at all and I think they're worth a try, if you're an eyeglass or sun glasses wearer.

    Have Potential

--- Installation--- The JLAB bud frames are easy to install on most pairs of glasses. They are also relatively simple to pair with a phone. They come with some charge, but you can fully charge them with the included charging cable. --- FEATURES --- These JBud frames have a 16mm driver, 8 hours of battery life, and multifunction buttons. They will attach to most pairs of glasses and work with voice assistance from your phone. --- PERFORMANCE --- In quiet environments, these little speakers work great to give you personal sound. I was able to enjoy my streaming shows while my wife was in the same room without bothering her. I do enjoy putting them on before bedtime and just listening to a podcast, music, or watching youtube knowing I am not disturbing my wife who sometimes sleeps before I do. However, I took these to a mall and it was so noisy that I couldn’t hear the audio from the speakers clearly. I also paired them with Zoom to see if I could avoid wearing headphones or earbuds. Though people could hear me loud and clear on their end, I couldn’t hear them for some reason even though I checked my Zoom settings to ensure that I had selected the JBuds as the speakers. --- EXPECTATIONS --- This product has potential, but ultimately, it will only be useful to you if you plan on listening to them in a quiet environment. That’s exactly when I find them the most useful. The frames are promoted as a snug fit for thin and thick temples. However, when I install mine on my glasses, they don’t go all the way down. It feels as if the clip will either break or the buds will pop off at an inopportune time. To be clear, they never did fall off, but they also never felt secured. For thinner frames, small plastic sleeves are included to help with grip. --- VALUE --- For the price, it’s a great entry point to making your glasses into “smart glasses,” but know that it does have quite a few limitations. --- APPROVAL --- I recommend these JBuds to people who plan to use them in a quiet environment such as a library or a study hall and don’t want to be wearing headphones or earbuds.

Sound OK, Not Universal Fit, Odd Look

Pros: * Lightweight. * Good battery life. * Magnetic charging with provided cable. * Tactile buttons. * Sound OK (but not great). Cons: * Din’t fit my frames and tended to pop off. * Cannot fold frames with product attached. * Proprietary charging cable required (provided, though). * Button functions are complex. * Looks really odd. Summary: I love always having music playing in the background. Normally I have music in every room of the house when everyone at home is up. If using headphone, I like to be aware of what’s going on around me so I typically wear some sort of headphone that doesn’t completely block my ear. When outside, that is usually a pair of sunglasses with built-in speakers in the sides of the frame. That’s great if outside in the sun, but what about when inside and wearing eyeglasses? That’s where the JLab Jbuds Frame come in. They essentially transform your own sunglasses or eyeglass frames into music devices. Think of them as true wireless earbuds that mount on the sides of your own frames instead of sticking in or hanging on your ears… just like those sunglasses that I mentioned but instead of being built-in, they mount to just about any frame of your choosing. In theory, that’s great! In practice, these just don’t live up the promise. They have fixed molded hooks that are supposed to clip onto the sides of your glasses. I tried my regular eyeglasses, my readers that I wear over contacts and even a pair of regular sunglasses. The hooks didn’t fit on any of them securely. That right there is enough of dealbreaker because if they won’t mount on your frames, they cannot really be used. But let’s say they do fit on your frames, you probably won’t be able to fold the sides in with the JBuds attached, either. They also are questionable in the fashion department, too. I’m not sure I’d want to wear these out of the house, but that’s just me. They’re not all bad. If they do fit on your frames and you don’t mind not being able to fold the sides in with them mounted and you can get past their odd looks, they do work as advertised. They sound OK if slid all the way back so that they essentially touch your ears. They don’t sound great, but they work for background audio. The true wireless aspects functioned as expected in that they paired easily, reconnected easily, and didn’t loose connection during use. There is a tactile button on each bud which is good, but the function of each button is complex. At least they both turn off by turning off either one, but aside from that, the basic functionality is something you’d really have to memorize. Single press the right button to raise or the left button to lower the volume. Double press the right button to play/pause or the left to invoke your phone’s voice assistant, etc… Battery life was good but not awesome considering their size and the fact that many other true wireless earbuds at half their size have similar battery life. When it’s time to charge them, you must use the proprietary magnetic cable. It’s nice that the cable can charge both buds at the same time, but if you loose or don’t have the cable handy, you’re out of luck. Overall, an OK effort for a very niche product, but there is a LOT of room for improvement - especially in the way they attach to your frames. I would much rather use other types of product (like a speaker that rests on my collarbone) instead.

    Unique Idea, Average Sound

I loved the idea of these Buds. I wear glasses all day, everyday, and the thought of having buds snap on to my glasses sounded great. I have tried some other buds that looped around your ear and rested just outside of your ear, but the loops would feel uncomfortable when it got sandwiched between my glasses and ears. This sounded like a great compromise. Let me start off with the disclaimer that obviously everyone’s experience might be different from mine, this is just what I took away after using these for a couple of days. First, the fit and build. These are well built, feel solid, have some nice accessories. They have little grips you can slide on to the buds to make them grip onto your glasses frames a little more secure. I did not need the grips for them to fit on my frames. After using these for about half an hour around the house, I noticed one thing almost immediately; it felt like it was causing my glasses to slide down my nose more. As I was doing chores and moving around my home, I kept feeling like my glasses were going to slide off my face. This sensation of dropping my glasses persisted as I continued using the buds. I am guessing the only way to avoid this is to perhaps purchase one of those glasses lanyards that attach to the ends of your glasses and secure them around your head. I wouldn’t use one of these lanyards but perhaps these buds would feel a little better if you already use one. Secondly, sound quality was not quite what I expected. I have a variety of headphones, and earbuds and normally I keep my music volume between 25 - 50% depending on the genre, my environment, and wether I am using ANC on some of the headphones. With these buds I had to crank the volume up to around 75% in order to hear the music clearly. Listening to podcasts or audiobooks was a little difficult as well since the volume doesn’t get very high. Now, I understand that these are not in your ears and the speaker is hanging off of your glasses and pointing at your ear, but still I would have thought the volume and sound quality would be a little better. I really liked the concept of these buds, and for some these might be a great pair of buds. Maybe their second generation version will have better sound/volume and won’t weigh the glasses down so much. I would cautiously recommend these, the concept it great, as long as they don’t weigh your glasses down and you are okay with a lower than expected volume from the buds. For the price, it is worth a shot.

    Neat niche usecase "headphones"

These are honestly really neat pieces of audio equipment. The sound is thin given the design and method of playing sound but its no where near as thin as i expected. I wouldnt want to daily these as my main headphones but during activities where you want your ears free like bike rides or outdoor exercise in general they're really convenient to have. I daily a pair of galaxy buds pro or sony xm3's and they both have a listen through feature but after ~2 years of use you would have to either turn your volume practically off or pause your music to effectively use the feature. These dont suffer from that and can comfortably play at about 70% volume before you would start having trouble having a conversation and anything louder than that would come through no problems at 100%. I listened to a podcast no issue while using fairly loud powertools at around 30-50% volume. If you have a usecase for these theyre definitely a cool piece of audio equipment to have; but if you rock your noise canceling headphones that would block out a train 24/7 with no concerns they probably wont get much use for you. On a side note i did have issues connecting the bluetooth on first set up but it could have entirely been my phone because a quick reboot solved the issue. [High end noise like snare drums and cymbals: a little tinny but not enough to complain.] [Mid end noise like vocals, guitars, 90% of music: Perfectly serviceable and honestly a little impressive for how they deliver sound; wonderful for podcast] [Bass: case by case, some songs where they crank the bass it will be non existant purely because the tiny drivers can't output a bass frequency like that. But on regular applications its surprisingly present.]

    Good but Some Annoying Flaws

These were quite nice overall. The fit over my glasses and with both on were decently loud when played at around 20-40%. They also last for the listed 8 hours. The buttons are easy to find and different sides handle different jobs which I love. It makes it difficult however to get full use out of them if you only use one. Despite these I do like what they have here as a person who can never find ear buds that fit and cannot just go into work with a pair of headphones on. If they make improvements to this design I would definitely try them again. The main issue that I had with them was that any touch or bump to the bottom of them would result in them being knocked off. If they ever make another version of this (and I really hope they do) I would say they should have the grips curve in more or at least have some ridges to keep them from just slipping off the glasses at a moments notice. A minor gripe I had was that they added significant weight to my frames. pulling them off my nose when I looked down or just out of place in general. It can be even worse depending on the material of the mask I an wearing that day. Another minor gripe is that when holding down the buttons to skip, answer calls, or raise/lower volume they will cycle through each function before arriving at the one you want. Multiple times I've had to turn the volume down from when I was trying to skip more than one track. This isn't the most terrible thing in the world but it gets annoying quite fast. At the end of the day the little annoyances were enough for me to return them.

Great for prescription users and really any user and is pretty cheap! Can move with you from frame to frame. Sound quality is good and doesn't drown out others and is fairly balanced. Only problem is the base is weak. But, the benefit for glasses users is great! Super good to listen to things when you don't want to plug your ears or want to have notifications without it playing loudly. (Great for Teachers). Also if you get more than one pair. Color code them since they work in pairs.

Putting them on my glasses and shades are easy. However if you have frames with really skinny arms (the part that goes around your ear) then there are small plastic/rubber pieces that you will need to use for gripping purposes. Setup was easy. Just pair with Bluetooth. Very cool feature, you can use and pair only one at a time if you don’t want to use both. The sound is sub par but enough. At 100% volume other people can hear the sound ok and you can hear the music and or others when talking. I prefer not have in ear headphones when around other people so that I can hear others and stay aware.

JBuds Frames fits perfectly on my blue light glasses. I also have a pair of wireframe sunglasses that fit great with the included sleeves. I have yet to have a problem of them falling off. The sound quality is great for the speaker not being in-ear. When I take the calls people on the other end say the mic quality is super clear. Overall, I'm super impressed with this little device. It gets me through a full workday without needing a recharge.

I wanted to get a pair of smart glasses, I got these instead. The deciding factor was that these are cheaper and can be worn on any pair of glasses. The sound quality is good and is directed right at your ears. Outside sounds are not cancelled or blocked out. The controls are easy to use once you read the instructions. Certain amount of button taps or button holds perform different functions like volume control or skipping songs. These fit almost ever pair of glasses I own and are easy to swap to a different pair. The clips are a bit narrow and do not fit a larger frame. Overall, this is a good product that should please anyone that wears glasses and doesn't want to wear headphones or earbuds.

It worked great as far as clarity and connection, but for active sports such as baseball practice or hitting off the Tee, it was too heavy for my son's glasses, and keep moving his glass off his nose as he would single. He wanted them to listen to music and not disturb the other battes but it didn't work as we expected.

These are the coolest things ever!!! They work great the sound is wonderful; people always hear me properly. I haven't played with the sound adjustments for bass and treble. Wonderful features for such a little thing. I love that they are not in my ear! Improvement little longer battery but 8 hours ok. Little rubber feet need to be stronger I already lost one I'm using a rubber band but that seems to work really well, wink! It would be super cool if the outer casing was clear like plexiglass so you can see all the inner workings. I would rather USB hub compatible with my cell phone or charging on each one. Worry about losing cord lol
