JLAB has made an affordable set of over the ear headphones with the JBuds Lux ANC headphones. JLAB has done that while maintaining comfort, features, and durability.
Comfort
The adjustable headband has plastic on the sides but has padding on the underside of the top part that touches my head. At no point did I feel any excessive pressure or fell like it wasn't enough padding. The earpieces fit well and are deep enough that my ears don't touch the inside of them. There is padded leather for the earpieces which helps when wearing these for hours on end. I wore these for 4 hours straight and didn't fell uncomfortable throughout that time.
Sound Quality
I connected the JBuds to my TV and my iPhone. While connected to the TV, the audio quality was very good. The treble was good as was the base. There are two modes: Music and Movie. I checked both and found that both modes were good for regular shows and movies. Through the JLab app for iPhone, I was able to choose which mode as well as what I wanted regarding the EQ. There are 3 equalizers you can set and a custom one. I prefer the Bass Boost EQ regardless of which sound mode is used. I like that I can choose which mode I want through the app or use one of the buttons on the headphones. Bass is present in the audio regardless of music mode or movie mode. With the multipoint connection feature, I was able to not only have the headphones connected to my TV I also connected it to my iPhone. I felt the JBuds did well while listening to music. Music and audio book were clear and music had a good sound.
Features
JLAB has added some nice features. The JBuds support multipoint connections to two devices. They are also noise canceling headphones which you can switch between 3 modes: Off, On, and Be Aware. The first two are what I expected and the Be Aware mode enhances sounds around you. Essentially it amplifies the sounds of things around you. In the app, you can set what the multi function button does. JLAB has give 4 options for it. This is a nice addition for customizing it as most headphones which connect to a control app don't typically allow me to set custom uses to a button. A safe feature, which you can access through the app, is the Safe Hearing setting. This allows you to choose one of three options for limiting the max decibel output. Also within the app, you can check the current firmware version and update the firmware if needed. I updated to the latest firmware which took about one and a half minutes. The buttons on the outside of the right earpiece are easy to find. It didn't take me anytime at all to find the buttons that I needed to use for any feature that I needed to change. Another feature is the Share Mode feature. This feature would allow me to connect two JBuds together wirelessly to listen to the same thing simultaneously. For people who would like to share music or TV shows/movies, this feature will be great for you. So far I have 10+ hours of listening time with these and the battery status still indicates 90% indicating power usage is low.
Overall
I'm very surprised that what I get for the price point. I like the sound quality. It's not quite the same as some of the very expensive headphones, but these perform much better that some that I have that are two to three times more expensive. You won't worry about tossing these into a backpack. I'm happy with the JBuds Lux ANC over the hear headphones and hope JLAB continues into the future with headphones that are a reasonable price, sound good, and have numerous features.

I recently got the JLab - JBuds Lux ANC Headphones, and I can confidently say they are exceptional! From the moment I put them on, I was blown away by their performance and features.
Active Noise Cancelling & Immersive Sound
The active noise canceling (ANC) on these headphones is unparalleled. It is the best I have ever experienced, effectively blocking out external noise, allowing me to fully immerse myself in my music or calls. The sound quality is lab-grade, powered by advanced 40mm drivers that deliver incredible depth and clarity. When the noise canceling is on, the sound becomes even more immersive, creating a rich and detailed audio experience that elevates my listening to new heights.
Sleek and Modern Design
The JBuds Lux ANC Headphones are not only functional but also stylish. They boast a sleek, modern look that complements any outfit or setting. The design is both sophisticated and comfortable, making them perfect for extended use.
Comfort & Customization
These headphones prioritize comfort. The 1” Cloud Foam Cushions and ergonomically shaped form-fit earcups conform to the natural contours of your ears, providing exceptional comfort. Adjustable hinges allow for personalized customization, ensuring a perfect fit whether you're traveling, working out, or commuting.
Smart Features & JLab App
The JLab App elevates the user experience by offering customizable settings for ANC, Be Aware Mode, touch controls, and sound profiles. Choose from presets like JLab Signature, Balance, or Bass Boost, or tailor the settings to your personal preferences. The app provides seamless updates, ensuring you always have the latest software features. Smart features such as Bluetooth multipoint, wear-detect auto play/pause, Google Fast Pair, and IP55 sweat and dustproof protection enhance the convenience and durability of these headphones.
Safe Hearing & Crystal-Clear Calls
Protecting your ears is easy with the safe hearing option available on the app, which allows you to set volume limits. Moreover, the advanced noise-canceling microphones provide crystal-clear and uninterrupted communication during calls, effectively eliminating external disturbances for flawless conversation clarity.
Battery Life
The battery life is impressive, with 13+ hours in each earbud and 56 total hours of playtime. Even with ANC on, you get 9+ hours in each earbud and 36+ total hours of playtime, making these headphones reliable for long listening sessions.
Conclusion
The JLab - JBuds Lux ANC Headphones have everything you could want in a pair of headphones: unbeatable ANC, immersive sound, sleek design, exceptional comfort, and smart features. The app is the best way to utilize all the features and get the absolute best sound and user experience. I highly recommend these headphones to anyone seeking the best in audio technology.

These noise-cancelling Bluetooth over-the-ear headphones are quite good, especially considering the sub-$100 price. The sound is very good, with rich bass and good trebles (mids can sound a little muddy if they're boosted using the EQ). There are 3 preset equalizer settings -- balanced (essentially flat), bass boost, and "JLab Signature" (which is a modified V shape on an equalizer). I thought both the bass boost and Signature settings sounded really good, but with the JLab app, you can also set your own EQ customization, which I appreciate. Soundstage is decent -- it doesn't sound like I'm in an expansive arena, but it's deep enough that I don't feel like I'm just listening to two speakers jammed up against my ears.
The ANC is good as well, with a noticeable reduction in ambient noise as soon as the headphones are on. There's a Be Aware option that uses the mic to transmit ambient sound, in case the user needs to be aware of their surroundings -- I tested this, and the ambient sound comes through without being too intrusive.
As with many Bluetooth headphones, there is a slight lag, and there's no gaming mode to reduce latency, so this may not be ideal for hardcore gamers.
Pairing is quick and easy, and Multipoint Connection is supported (I tested it, and it works well). As mentioned above, the JLab app makes it easy to select various options (like ANC) or to customize the EQ or the button functions. The app isn't limited to phones -- I was able to install it on my Pixel Tablet as well.
Build quality is impressive. It's all plastic, but it's matte and soft-touch, and everything feels solid. The earcups rotate freely for optimal fit, and can also rotate to store the headphones flat or folded up. The headband and earcup cushions are soft and comfortable, and the earcups themselves have adequate depth. The headband size adjustment has a nice mechanism as well -- clicky enough to keep the size that's selected, but smooth enough to return back to the storage setting without a hitch. Buttons are large and easy to find by touch, with reliable action. Charging is via USB-C.
Battery life is really good. I haven't done any formal testing, but professional reviews have shown about 45 hours on a single charge with ANC on (it's supposed to push 70 hours with ANC off).
Overall, these are pretty impressive headphones even when comparing to the big boys like Sony, but when you take into account the price, it's a slam-dunk, especially if you're on a budget!

The JBuds Lux wireless headphones are probably the perfect headphones for those that want to have a lot of features, and not spend an arm and a leg to get them. They are not the best sounding or have the best “aware and ANC” modes, nor do they have the best app to customize them, but they do have a great price and everything it does, is great for this price. These are perfect for my kids to be honest. They are well built, have a great battery life (70+ hours), are foldable and comfortable for them. They were also comfortable for my bigger head as well and the padded headband was good also. JLab gives you a full two-year warranty and 30-day money back guarantee as well. Bluetooth multipoint is probably the very best feature that this has. I have much more expensive headphones that don’t offer this feature, and for those that don’t know what it is, it basically allows you to have the headphones paired to two different devices, think tablet and computer, and then seamlessly connect between the two at the same time. My 7-year-old daughter has had no issues with that. I really like the safe hearing feature in the app, I was able to limit the dB to 85 and turn on the Be Aware settings that allows us to talk to her when she is watching a video, so we don’t have to yell at her. Now if she would just stop ignoring us that would be great, but I can’t blame the headphones for that. Overall, if you are looking for a budget prices full featured wireless headphones, then you cannot go wrong with these.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are so grateful for your kind words!

Finding the right over the ear headphones isn’t an easy task. Are the cups too big? Are they too small? Do they have enough padding and keep out outside noise? These are the challenges I was faced with when looking for new noise cancelling headphones that would be right for casual listening and suitable for travel as well.
After looking at many different headphones, I settled on the JLab - JBuds Lux ANC Headphones. Out of the box the JBuds stand out with hard buttons to control the volume, track up/down, noise cancelling modes and power on/off. It is so refreshing to have actual buttons instead of a touch pad to control the various functions. One very interesting feature of the JBuds is the ability to “share” between two sets of headphones with the same content. This allows two people to watch a movie on a mobile device while using two pairs of JBuds. This is great for traveling with kids in the backseat for long periods of time. Another nice feature is the folding earcups for packing in to a backpack or carry on suitcase.
The included JLABS mobile app allows you to fine tune your sound with a custom EQ and three JLabs preset EQs. You can also customize the functionality of the hard buttons on the headphones themselves. Smart active noise canceling is also controlled by the app. This lets you vary the amount of outside sound to mute or switch it off all together to hear outside sounds. There is also a Music or Movie mode for different types of listening content. Safe hearing mode is also available on the app to protect the listener from excessively loud sounds.
Setup is extremely simple! Download the app and press the Bluetooth button on the JBuds to find it on your mobile device and you’re off. The sound quality is very good. With the use of the app’s EQ you can tailor the sound to your liking and they do sound very good. At an attractive price point and features befitting headphones in higher priced arenas. The JBud’s compete above their weight class for sure and sound great doing it!

I LOVE THESE HEADPHONES. I love the aware and noise cancelling modes. The sound is crisp and clear and it has a a Huge radius of connection. I use these for music, movies, and gaming! Really comfortable design too. It also charges very quickly and lasts on a full charge for multiple days of intermittent use.

I have owned many headphones at this point. Too many, so I know the spiel. If you assumed these were some junky headphones for $80, keep reading because these are not that.
The packaging is rather standard. No carrying bag is included, but finding a bulk lock of drawstring bags on amazon is no issue, just do some measurements and you'll figure it out. Inside the pack was also a usb c to c cable that is used to charge but is also used for usb c audio for phones that support that (which is most phones). You honestly can't ask more for $80.
The size and fitment is rather nice. The differently shaped ear cups actually surround my ears nicely and the plastic is nice and smooth. Does not have some cheap rubber texture to it and the head band is soft enough. These are very flexible and due to the profile can sit rather close to your head. They also fold up into a nice little ball that can be put into a drawstring bag or some kind of protective thing, I'm sure amazon has plenty of cheap bags you can put them in.
Sound quality is just great. With the original EQ I can't complain and for $80 it's really difficult to say if you can find something better. Most companies that shoot for this price do what they can to compromise but these headphones feel like they only compromised on the construction. The sound is great even with bluetooth. Although I cannot personally say that the wired sound quality would be better it wouldn't hurt to try. I haven't tested the effectiveness of the ANC since it gives me a headache, however I can say that the pass-through is serviceable at best. It doesn't replicate what humans ears would hear, but if you just need to hear a question or a subway announcement, they will do the trick.
Bottom line? Get them. Just get them. Doesn't matter if you pay $80 or less, just get them. These things are just wildly effective in cost and performance. Even if you don't need them, just get them, put them in a small cloth bag and chuck them in your bag. Just in case.

These headphones have a clear sound. The bass quality of the sound is perfect. These headphones come with a noise canceling feature. The noise canceling works well, however is not as good as other headphones in my opinion but gets the job done, you can enable and disable noise cancellation if you like. Also, has a “be aware” mode which basically allows you to hear the sounds around your environment better. So, for example. If you are walking outside and a car sounds the horn on you, you will be able to hear it. You can also install the JLab App on your phone which makes you create custom sound presets as well as control the features of your headphones. Initial setup via Bluetooth was easy using my iPhone 12 Pro, I didn’t experience any issues. These headphones only work via Bluetooth it has a usb-c port but is for charging only.
Comfort is ok, not great. They feel good when you put them on but as time passes it feels a little bit uncomfortable. I prefer that these headphones were a little more breathable. They feel very hot in your ear when you use them for a while, but that is pretty much typical with all over-the-ear headphones. I guess it requires getting used to it.
Do I recommend this to someone? Absolutely YES….For the price, I believe is a good buy.

Bought these to use while working out for something that goes over the ear and has a noise cancelling feature. I've had bad luck with Bluetooth ear buds and wanted something different.
So far, I'm really happy with the battery life, the sound quality, the connectivity, and the noise cancelling feature. Its fills well over my head, adjusts easily, and doesn't move when I'm in the gym.
I'm very happy with the quality for the value.

I gave it 5 stars because for the price it is an excellent headset.
Pros: It connects without issues, Sound is good, Noise cancellation works well, battery life last a long time if you use lower volume (I am over 15 hours and it still say it has a full charge)
Cons: the ear muffs might feel warm on your head after awhile, this is because it is a Noise Cancelling headset and the pads need to be snug and block sound.
Some people might find the headset a tight fit, again because it is a Noise Cancelling headset.

They sound great and are comfortable for me to wear for hours on end and the battery lasts quite long, I only need to charge them about once a week and I use them for music on my phone, to watch tv and for gaming. I love these headphones!

I bought these headphones because I bought a pair of $400 dollar Bose quietcomfort ultra headphones and I wanted a pair of headphones that are inexpensive and have anc that I wouldn't have to be real careful with. Got these on sale for 50 bucks. They are way better than I thought they would be. If I would have got these first and known they were as good as they are I would have never bought the Bose ones. They are that good. Sound quality is very good and the anc is ok too. I set it on the bass boost mode and that made a huge difference in the sound quality. I'm very happy with them. The only problem I have with them is that I'm not able to adjust the EQ on the app like they say you can. I contacted the customer service department and they said that they are working on the problem. Overall I definitely recommend them.

Love the echo cancelling capability of these headphones that made my recent trip to Canada a pleasure. Engine Jet noise and Bus windshield wipers and rain noise were cancelled perfectly.
Comes with USB-c cable for easy connectivity to iPhones 15 or later when the battery is low.
For my trip with 5 hours of playback in each direction the battery never left the fully charged state.
Great value for the money

JEEEZZZUZZZZFRIKINGCHRIIIIIST! After years of buying so called noise-cancelling earplugs, over the ear headphones I decided to take a chance on these JLab puppies. To find them I had to ask for them as they were not among the high priced headphone section of Best Buy but in a far away display that felt and looked cheap!
I got to tell you that I bought these to watch movies in my tablet on a flight to Cancun and I was shocked to hear (more to the point barely hear the jet engine noise) the rich sound coming out of these suckers! I was "WHOOOOOT! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!
The bass was deep all frequencies were clear and free of distortion and the headphones were "Beaucoup" comfortable. I got big ears (maybe not Dumbo size) and long square face, but my ears never felt the crushing pain I get with my Sony MDR headphones at home after an hour of wear.
The 70 hrs charge? Dudes and Dudettes...My trip was on 1/27 5hrs each way, I came home and have been using these jewels at home to watch YouTube in the Brave browser (The Sony's are benched until the ice melts in Antartica); and it with my Samsung TV, as to not wake up Da Bossette. Today is 2/24/2025 and I have yet to give these Eveready bunnies another charge. Each time I turn the on they state "JLab On...Battery full..." "Booomsh"(sound of head exploding). The best $50.00 -it was on sale for $49.99 the day I bought them-that I ever spent on a "let's try these and if the suck I return them" attitude.
Connectivity? It connected even with a Lenovo tablet so old it was signed by Thomas Alva Edison!
They are keepers and The first thing I have ever recommended. If my Mom wasn't deaf and 93...I would have bought her a pair.

I originally bought them to use them on the bus, because I have lost earbuds before, but I tend to use them a lot more often than my actual earbuds now. They are pretty comfortable and the battery has lasted me several hours. The sound is great, noise cancelling works pretty well too.

I really like these headphones. They are comfortable and work well. Noise cancelling isn't perfect, but they enable me to work when there's noise around. I really like the "be aware" function for when I still need to hear if someone speaks to me. The sound quality is good, and the headphones feel like they are good quality.
There is one thing I wish could be better. It takes a few seconds to switch sound from one device to the other if it's connected to two devices simultaneously, but it's not a big problem for me personally.
I would recommend this to a friend

Pretty good for the price. Very comfortable and the transparency and anc is respectable for the price range. Out the box sound is a little flat but the custom eq really wakes it up and gives it decent sound. It has a really good app with sone nice features. A pretty good headphone for the sale price, but at its regular retail price there are better headphones out there.

The JLab JBuds Lux ANC headphones have been a great product to pick up, I especially appreciate them for commuting.
In the box are the headphones, USB-C to USB-C charging cable, and paperwork. Setup is easy, I recommend downloading the JLab app, for eq settings, ANC adjustment, and firmware updates, however not required to use. The build is solid, I had concerns the semi-rigid headband would not be comfortable for long wear, but so far I haven't had any issues. I wear them with the extensions all the way in, but there is about an inch of travel on both sides for adjustment. There is an elastic fabric cover at the top of the headband to improve comfort and the flex in the band allows for comfortable wear without being too tight or loose. For illustration, I can jog or do chores in this headset with no slipping or movement. The ear cups are plush foam, covered by a synthetic fabric that gives some grip without being too hot. I do think the ear cups will likely work for 75% of users, but may be cramped for those with large ears. When placed on a flat surface the ear cups will pivot to lay flat and used as a personal speaker.
The buttons are physical press buttons, all on the right ear cuff. Starting from back to front is noise cancelling, +/- volume, power button which can also be customized via the app for multi purpose settings based on 1, 2, or 3 taps. I really like the physical buttons, no more accidental taps, having to figure out long / short presses, or any of the other pains that come with having to worry about accidentally pressing in the wrong spot.
To connect, long press the power button, the light flashes blue/red and then can be connected via Bluetooth. The app allows for full customization with 10 eq sliders for custom sound, in addition to JLab Signature, Balanced, and Bass Boost presets. The app also allows for noise control, level of active noise control, as well as a pass through mode called "Be Aware". As mentioned earlier, the app also allows programming of the multi-purpose button in the form of 1, 2, or 3 taps and will do things such as play/pause, next/last, volume up/down, assistant, ANC, and change EQ.
Overall all the functionality works well and offers more features than I had expected for the price point, and even more important, it's intuitive. The comfort level is a solid B+, even for 2+ hours of wear. What really surprised me with this headphone was the quality of sound and ANC. I could tell a difference in the ANC levels, and it didn't have the white noise feedback you get with some ANC, the JLab software keeps everything very natural sounding in both Be Aware mode as well as ANC. When I turn on full ANC and listen to music, it truly does reduce external noises. I tested with my teen talking to, and while I could hear something, 4' away I couldn't tell what he was saying, even with the volume at a mid level. The depth of the sound is another impressive offering, again for this price point, I didn't expect the crispness and depth from the 40mm drivers.
In summary, for the price point, go pick these headphones up. They are portable, light weight, comfortable, with a great sound. I think JLab got the ANC and drivers figured out and are optimized in this build.
