    Good and Bad!

Good: - does what it is suppose to do and that is take super stable video using your iphone. I have testing for about at least a month and done a lot of different tests including running with it. - has a tripod that is included and screws into the bottom - extends to lengthen your shot like a selfie stick would - not many buttons and i really like the trigger button, double clicking resets to default setting. - inexpensive considering what it does and the others out there like it. BAD: - very few instructional videos out there and when i say very few, I mean i have not come across any but plan to do my own very soon for people out there like myself who is not super techy. - follow face mode is not the best, if you leave the frame it loses you and points straight down or goes nuts looking for you or doesnt look for you at all....bummer - iphone X is what I own and tested it with and without the case. it can still balance with the case on, but i had to remove the little stick on pad which was easy. Then decided to put it back on and always use it without the case which can be annoying to take a case on and off. Overall great product, but i dont understand why there are not any instructional videos out there on how to use the many functions. I does have a instructional manual, but I am a visual person and prefer to be shown then read about. Plus in the beginning I did not even know what he word "pan" even means. Therefore, "pan mode" did not mean anything to me. Good Luck! Hope this helps!

    Good Stabilizer for Smaller/Outdated Phones

I can't say it's a bad stabilizer. The problem is, phone's are not getting smaller or lighter and therefore the overall size and motor strength barely holds my Samsung Galaxy S20+. It won't hold it at any sort of angle, etc... and if I were to put a Note in there, it would just flop over. Other than that, the footage is some of the best stabilized gimbal footage I've seen in this range. Up there with the Osmo to be honest. Needs more motor strength and general overall size.

Subpar battery life. Stabilization is not as great as I would of expect. This can fit an iPhone pro max but not comfortably if you have a case on it. The connection between the phone and the gimbal Bluetooth has some what of a delay it may just be me however it shouldn’t disconnected every time you exit out the devices app. Overall 3 stars

    Hard to manage

Bought this for my husband to use for filming my son's soccer games, but it is just too much of a pain. Too bulky to cart around and awkward to use for one off shots. It's been a while I powered it up, but if I remember correctly the instructions are very confusing and have you pushing the wrong button to stabilize the phone. I thought it was defective and even brought it back to Best buy for assistance and they couldn't figure it out either. I finally went on line or pulled out a magnifying glass (instructions are minuscule and impossible to read with a magnifying glass) and figured it out, but they was something complicated about it ( sequence of some kind or there is a delay between powering on and stabilizing - I wish I could remember). It is not intuitive. Anyway, it takes some patience to deal with this thing. And if I recall the phone never really gets perfectly horizontal. It's close though. As I said we didn't like it and never used it. But if you are super gadget person, you might love it.

Quality is good but support is poor. Cannot be used with the iPhone 11 Max because it stutters from the weight of the phone. I called Joby to get support on this and they told me the product is actually a design they purchased from another company and just slapped the Joby name on it. Told me to reach out to that company which is an Amazon business. I purchased two trying to get it to work correctly but then finally returned them both.

This is a fantastic all around stabilizer gimbal that can do just about everything that the expensive gimbals can do. I purchased this for my sister for her bday and she's been using it and making short movies. She loves it and enjoys using it. Easy to use and smooth video.

I was really hoping this thing would work, unfortunately if you have a larger (wider) screened phone, like an iPhone 8 Plus it doesn’t work. The phone is too wide even with no case the gimbal can’t rotate enough as it hits itself.

I was super excited to use this product for videos. When I opened it up, it was super nice, but when I turned it on, it was very difficult to use because the device kept on rotating even when I followed the directions given on how to keep it stable. So I went back for an exchange, because when I tried to shut it down, it didn’t want to turn off. Then the same thing happened with the next week, and I knew that this device didn’t like me, so I went back to BB and returned it. Hopefully someone has better luck then me with this product.

    Joby gimbal beats Dji gimbal

Love this gimbal , this gimbal has more axis than even the outrageously expensive dji. Ive used both gimbals for my videos on IG and YouTube under @Ruthless_cw and by far the Joby is better because of not having the lateral movement limited. I can go from a ground sweeping shot to a 15' drone like shot with an extension ive made but not limited by the range of motion by this gimbal. Dji should take note.

It has some wonky things about it, but seems to work pretty good. A larger phone doesn't fit well. They obviously designed & targeted iPhones. The clamp wants to fall on my volume buttons & cover the fingerprint/power button if I put it so it's centered. I haven't used it enough to get the knack of it yet. I also have not been able to get it back in it's case properly. It just will not align in a way that they elbow part isn't sticking out past the zipper seam.

Finally I found one that works with my 12maxPro! This was my 3rd try, the other ones squeezed the side buttons. This one balances in an offset way that works great! The face tracking and remote button functions have increased creativity in my shots. The weight is ok, if any lighter I think it wouldn’t be stable in windy conditions.
