An alternative point of view from Batman lore where a mentally ill person trying to struggle hard in a harsh society where rich people, and other people abuse him to a point he turns into a villain. Felt really realistic and Todd Phillips is a great director.

I loved the movie and got it for cheaper than I saw it in the theater. Nice to have a digital copy and then a DVD copy that I can give away to charity. A dark movie for sure, but I think it was a decent commentary on where some people feel things are today.

My husband bought this using his best buy account and reviewed it, then we had our accounts merged, and all his old purchases are showing up on MY review page, so I'm re-reviewing so-to-speak to get the points.

What is there to really say about this movie that you have not heard or seen from the media? This movie is surprisingly deep, shocking, tragic and thought provoking. If we are going to be honest, it didn’t really have to utilize the Joker per se as it can be a story of any of us. “Just one bad day” There are minor connections to the Batman mythologies but this stands on its own, entirely. Definitely worth a watch or two

This movie represented one of the best performances by an Actor that I have seen in a very long time. Phoenix was spot on in this role. We could even see a generous does of Nicholson in his acting. Movie is defiantly for adults only and I deducted one star for its length. But will probably watch an extended version if they release one. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves to watch an award winning actor perform.

This movie is really good & I absolutely loved it,just be aware that it’s also very dark,violent,& is explicit if you are sensitive to being offended by movies such as this.It doesn’t appeal to everyone & isn’t kid or family-friendly.

Even though I would have paid full 4K New Release price, I fortunately caught it when it was on sale! This movie was SOOOO AMAAAAAAZING! Once Joaquin became the full character of the Joker, the movie amp'ed up to maximum excitement. a TRUE MASTERPIECE!!!!!

I would recommend you don’t go into this movie thinking it will be action-packed. Please know that it is an excellent origin story and that Joaquin Phoenix’s acting is superb. I knew it was Oscar-worthy seeing it in theatres and now you can enjoy it at home.

Joaquin Phoenix has big shoes to fill after the unbelievable role that Heath Leger did for the the Joker..... But this is the Joker unlike anything we've ever seen. An amazing back story as to how the character is unfolded I to the icon villain himself.

I love this movie. It may not be action packed but I enjoyed this film many time . I've seen it in theaters, and 3 times at home. And I even watched in Spanish but I will say the voice over in spanish was pretty bad quality compared to the english voice acting

This movie I found to be exceptional. A deep dark psychological look into descending madness from a unstable mind and an unsteady society. Joaquin Phoenix delivers an intriguing performance. Also enjoyed the past time frame I wish the movie was taken place.

Joaquin Phoenix is superb as the Joker in this unique origin story that takes a look at mental illness and how it is treated in this country. The movie is not easy to watch but it contains an important message and everyone should watch the film at least once.

This movie could easily be a good stand alone movie unrelated to the DC universe. It is a little less comic book style and more Hollywood drama than most DC films. For DC fans, it's a really interesting, adult focused origin story.

So, many actors have been the infamous Joker. What is he? Who is he? Joaquim Phoenix poured himself into this role as DC Comics brought the essence of the Joker back to a single definition, a socio-or-psychopath. I just want to know what's in the journal.

Beautiful cinematography and performance by Joaquin Phoenix! The story and movie pace does a great job of a gradual constant character arc. Every scene drives the next scene and really keeps the movie going to an insane climax. One if my favorite movies now.

Joaquin Phoenix does a fantastic job acting and playing the role of "Joker". He gave an inside look into mental illness and how the Joker came about. It is not the fun humorous Joker that we'd expect, but a great story. It is definitely worth watching.

Well that's a theater experience I'll never forget. The first time I saw this movie, it was so unpleasant and it took a little bit for me to have an opinion of it. but I ended up loving this movie, even if it's hard to watch at points.

I just watched this literally minutes ago, and it was a great movie! The 4k visuals really brings it to life. Joaquin Phoenix is a great actor! I've never heard of him until i saw this. I'm hoping they make a part 2!

I can’t describe how much I love this movie, I’m a huge fan of the Joker character and Joaquin just knocks this out of the park. I wish this movie got the film of the year award but I’m glad Joaquin got actor of the year, he deserves it for this performance
