The problem with Jurassic World is not only does it steal every storyline from this film, the kids are not believable. The original works so well because every bit of fear and terror you experience is through the excellent acting of the two kids in this movie. Plus, you care about every character in this film. Who do you really care about in Jurassic World besides Chris Pratt?

20 years after my dad took my brother and me to see this in theaters, it still holds up and is better than almost anything I've ever seen. The stories great, and the use of amazing animatronics really helps the special hold up well with the standards set by modern CGI. If you haven't seen this movie, don't bother renting it, just buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I purchased a 3D TV about a year ago and have begun adding 3D films to my collect since then. I've been reluctant to buy previously made 2D films that are remastered for 3D, but this one is, and several others, really clicks. We all know the story but the 3D visuals really enhance the story line. It gives the viewer a greater feel of "being there" than the standard version.

My initial thought was that a movie originally shot in (2D) Film wasn't going to be that great on my 3D tv. Needless to say I was wrong. The digital 3D conversion was incredible. Amazing depth in this movie, completely adding to the classic intense scenes.

'Jurassic Park' is a modern classic, and worth a 5-star review on its own. This package is fantastic, and includes both the original version and the 3-D re-release version of the movie. I've never really been sold on 3-D, especially at home. But both versions look fantastic in HD, and if there's ever a movie to have in 3-D to watch at home, it's this one.

The one that started it all. Spielberg brought dinosaurs to life and we were giddy with delight. Nice transfer to Blu-Ray with many added features. The effects look nice and crisp in 1080p. My copy also came with $7.50 in movie cash, which we used to see Jurassic World. Definitely buy this Blu-Ray for your growing collection. You will not be disappointed.

My teenage son watched this movie again right after seeing Jurassic World, and was amazed at how well they did with the dinosaur scenes--making them life-like and interact with the actors in the scenes (since it was done sooooo long ago (to him anyway). This movie is a great classic, and done well enough to take you in to the story with the actors.

I have always loved this film, realistic cgi and great location shoots. The 3-d is incredibly real and I was amazed how it sort of jumped off the screen. The surround sound was very realistic and better than the the experience in the theatre.

I remember loving the three Jurassic Park movies, but the original was the best, and did things we didn't know were possible with computer graphics. With the new Jurassic World coming out, I bought the movies to introduce my sons to the series before seeing the newest one. If you like dinosaurs and action movies, all the Jurassic movies are for you!

Loved the movie to begin with was curious about the movie in 3d. Picture has been glossed over with noise reduction for the 3D version but it is not too bad 3d depth is very good and the movie actually benefits from the depth of field. Sound is amazing if you have a 7.1 sound system with a great sub you will be in awe. I am happy with the purchase

Jurassic Park is one of my favorite Steven Spielberg movies and the best in ther series so far. Jurassic World is a close second but nothing beats the original as of now. The special effects still are amazing even after over twenty years and it is one of the thrilling movies that one can show the entire family. Highly recommened for all ages.

As many of you are already aware, Jurassic Park is an extraordinary action film that remains largely influential to many blockbusters today. The film itself is entertaining, enthralling, and visually stunning, with the special effects still looking great even after all these years. That being said, the 3D transfer does not quite live up to the film itself for a number of reasons. For one, there are several instances of significant ghosting (I have the Samsung UNHU8550) that distract from the film. There are a few key scenes that do show excellent depth, but those alone are not worth the distractions the transfer makes.

Coming fresh off of seeing Jurassic World in IMAX 3D, I knew I needed to put my 3D TV to work. Swung by best buy on my way home from worked, picked up this movie, and was hiding for my dear life about an hour later. Great movie, worked perfect with my xbox one, and as a bonus I even got a fandango credit to see Jurassic World again. #Winning

If you're only looking to buy Jurassic Park (and not the trilogy or the 3-D version), this is your best bet. Personally, I think the artwork on this Steelbook looks great, with the Park Logo and the T-Rex in a "comic book" stylized on the cover. It looks great on display and people have mentioned how "cool" it looks compared to the regular edition.

The one that started it all, Jurassic park is a great piece of entertainment. Spielberg doing what he does best. Action, humor, suspense and great special effects that for the most part hold up. Picture quality of the blu-ray is a nice upgrade from the DVD and is the best quality this movie has seen to date. Don't hesitate on this one.

A classic and the best of the Jurassic Park movies. The acting and ultimately the pacing of this movie makes it a winner. It in no way looks dated and the anticipation throughout the film is what makes it work so well! Not to mention...stream the movie anywhere, download it to iTunes, get a free ticket to see Jurassic World! Worth 9.99!

This was our first 3D movie purchase and we got it at a great price. The movie itself is good but even better in 3D when the Dino's come out of the screen right at you. The length was just right as well, I am not sure I could sit through a movie any longer than ~2 hrs in 3D. Does take some getting used to. I would recommend this for a 3D newbie.

Awesome that they re-released this movie in 3D at the theaters, and gave the home viewer a BluRay version equal to the theater 3D experience. Kids loved this in 3D, and they did a great job with the conversion -- not true of all older movies that have been converted to 3D.

I purchased the 3D Bluray in anticipation of buying a 3D 4K TV in the near future. So I can't play the 3D disc, and can't comment. However, the package does include a regular Bluray. The picture quality is superb, and the audio gave my Klipsch subwoofer a good workout. My sofa vibrated! I would say this is an excellent demo disc.

This movie and the last one are the best in the franchise in my opinion. My husband said he had never seen this version so he did not appreciate J World enough. I made him watch this one and then it all came together for him. This movie had some very good effects for the year it was released. Glad they released it on Blu-ray.
