Looks good unit needs more power to drive my speakers

BLUF: 1) This JVC receiver has EXTREMELY POOR PHONE QUALITY with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. 2) If you get it installed at BestBuy with a Maestro steering wheel datalink, ensure you get the USB and patch cables that come in the pack. I purchased this in December, 2024 and it was installed by Geek Squad/BestBuy. When using the hands-free phone function (both Android and Apple phones), call receipients could barely understand what I was saying; it was staticky, garbled, and would cut out the longer you talked. Long story short, by the time I could get the car back to BestBuy, the money-back option had expired and I had to go through JVC Warranty Service. I paid $25 to ship the unit to NY, they sent me a new one - SAME RESULT, horrible phone quality. Another $25 to ship the unit back to JVC and they are supposed to refund my purchase price. I purchased a Pioneer receiver from Crutchfield, installed it myself and it works perfectly, excellent phone voice quality. I appreciate the Geek Squad guys that installed it. They answered all my questions although one member was saying the poor voice quality was due to my phone (which worked just fine on hands-free and plugged in/USB on my other cars), and that was not the case. Since I was not given the USB/patch cable purchased with the Maestro upon initial install did have to come back in to BestBuy and the Geek Squad not only gave me the appropriate cables, they flashed my Maestro SW steering wheel unit to Pioneer, which was great. If you get a Maestro unit installed - definitely ensure you get these cables in case you want to update functionality or change radios in the future.

JVC quaility. Pretty easy to use once you learn the menu. Touch screen is responsive. Decent deck power.

This product has a great sound to it and is well lit which makes it easy to view at night.

Happy with the play-ability but the backup camera is terrible.

It was a Christmas present for my daughter. She is very happy with it. Install was also great.

The day after it was installed, my truck started to malfunction. All of the dashboard gauges started flickering and going all the way up and all the way down and shutting off. I wasn't having any issues with my vehicle until this was installed. It wound up costing me another $2,700 in electrical repairs. If I could give zero Stars I would. My husband has yet to bring the bill for the repairs over to the Best Buy where it was installed. Whoever installed it shorted out our whole system.

Great replacement to my factory stereo! I have a 2003 Honda Element EX and it's perfect. good sound, great features!
