for starters, I'm comparing this to the pioneer avh 500ex and the 1550nex. the JVC holds its own with sound.. rich, full music. It has a more detailed equalizer with double the sound options... This radio is fluid, ita controls make sense. the android auto is great, bluetooth works well also. the pioneers In this cost range sound good but have terrible functionality. They are 'android compatible' but that means their Bluetooth works and thats all. My ONLY hangup with this radio is the volume led lights are blue and the pioneer is whatever you want. the jvc screen is nicer, its apps work, literally no reason to go with any other radio in this class.

Bought as a gift for my boyfriends ‘03 Trailblazer. It was definitely a huge upgrade from his stock radio. It makes the sound so much cleaner than before. The picture is nice. The Carplay works wonders. He can just speak to text people instead of being distracted. Highly recommend. Good quality for the price and brand.

Purchased to replace my Honda Ridgeline factory head unit. This stereo is feature packed and so easy to use. Installation was easy with it having a small chasis.

I really enjoy this indash it's easy to use just like using your phone I use it with android auto and it work great, google maps with navigation, spotify, Waze, bluetooth, radio, less distracting then using your phone while driving highly recommended to do modifications to your car. (2013 Nissan Altima)

Great radio. It has so many more options than other car stereos and you can't beat it for the price. Android auto works flawlessly with my android phone. Love this unit!

Took almost a year since I bought it to finally get it installed and it's still not 100% working as it should, but it will do. If you own a Mercedes with their stock premium sound system and are thinking about getting this unit, please do your research on what all is needed. The unit itself however is great. No complaints

Loved this unit when I first purchased it. 30 days after I had it installed Android Auto no longer works. There is no way to get it to connect! Did ALL the trouble shooting stuff suggested on the internet. Checked my phone's settings, tried different USB cables, deleted and reinstalled Android Auto, and NOTHING. Just error messages!! It never connected again. The main reason I bought it was for the interface with my phone which is the one thing that doesn't work. Going to try to return it ASAP!!

Couldn’t ask for a better value, I needed Apple Play to operate my iPhone as the primary music source.

Great radio! Android auto is awesome! This unit has dual zone so you can play one source in the front and a different one in the back.

I built a console and put this in my 1941 Chevrolet Convertible. It works great and allowed me to hook up a back up camera.

Makes DoorDashin so much more fun and easy to operate with maps messages and etc.

This was the best decision we could have made! The installer was very professional and knew exactly what he was doing. He did a great job of explaining exactly how to use the Bluetooth stereo!!!!! I was very impressed!!

Had this for almost a month and it's been great! Nothing bad to say - use android car play and my kids plug in for apple car play. In order to use those, you have to plug into USB but that was expected and I found an adapter so we don't have to switch out usb cords. The volume buttons are really small but I use the steering wheel controls mostly which still work fantastically! The one surprise is the music is super loud! I can only turn it up halfway and its way louder than my original stereo in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler, so that was a big plus! I could have done a backup camera but didn't do that yet - hopefully soon. We use the radio and that's about it...phone works great, good screen - very satisfied!

I wanted to upgrade the stereo that I had in my truck but wasn't sure what features would suit me best. I was very interested in adding Android Auto but didn't want to pay $500 for it. I'm glad this is the unit I went with. One of my biggest concerns was not having a CD/DVD player. Not that I used the one on the previous stereo very often. With virtually all of my music being digital really hard to say I miss CDs. Between BT streaming and the USB flash drive I'm pretty sure I'm covered. Worst case scenario I might actually have to listen to the radio. With my GS10 there are two apps on my phone that can be used for BT. Samsung player and Google Play Music. Both work equally well. If you're using Android Auto you option with be Google Music. Fortunately it is able to use local music as well as the online material in my account. There are a couple of less than great things. First off to use Android Auto you must connect via USB cable. Kind of inconvenient. But not terrible, so I'm not angry. Second, when connected with BT if I unlock my phone and clear notifications then lock the phone, the BT stops/pauses. You just need to push play and it's fixed (usually). Lastly, there is no AUX IN. Again, just wanted this for passengers more than myself. the AV-IN requires some adapters to work for that. Didn't care to spend $30 for something that will rarely get used. Display is bright and clear even in direct sunlight. Interface is overall good. Some of the settings menus could have been better thought out. Really a good unit. I'd recommend it.

Interface is nice, and Carplay functionality works flawlessly. The sound quality is great, and there are tons of sound and EQ customization options. Display is nice but gets washed out in bright sunlight. Unfortunately it’s a resistive touch display instead of capacitive, but all stereos at this price point are that I’m aware of. Overall I am get satisfied with this purchase.

Nice large color touch screen with apple car play and blue tooth technology this deck has so much to offer the driver. Hands free voice activation for phone and navigation a huge plus. Easy sinc with iPhone. SiriusXM ready Happen to have an all access account with SiriusXM that allows me to connect to this JVC deck with eases. Also purchased a rear camera. Works amazing. Would recommend this product to everyone that needs an updated devein there auto or boat!

I upgraded my old auto stereo with this JVC unit. Very important to me is the backup camera and Bluetooth capability. My old unit was not very good with either of those. This one is wonderful and the installation was a breeze. It even sounds better to my old tone deaf ears, as well.
